Chapter 131

"If you won't stop her from going then I would." She told him and turn to leave but, Carlos held her hand, she faced him with what seems like hope. "You won't let her go right?" She asked him, searching his cold eyes.

"Let me talk to her." He said softly and walked away from the lobby.

He got into the room and saw Triffany dressing up, she look so thin and weak, he exhaled softly and walk over to the sofa and sat on it.

Triffany put on her blue shirt and black trousers, she tie her hair up and picked up a black long coat and put across her shoulders, then she reached for her bag and phone, then turn to see Carlos staring at her with a penetrating gaze.

"You should eat before leaving." He said softly and she paused her lips, she had thought he would protest but here he was giving her the go sign.

When he noticed that she had stopped moving, he stood up and walk over to her. "Do you really want to be with Jimmy?" He asked and she could see the tears in his eyes.

"Don't you want to stay with me and fight this together?" He asked as he held her shoulder, but Triffany pressed her lips together, trying hard to suppress her tears.

"I won't stop you, if you want to." He look into her eyes. "But, eat something, we have a baby on the way, let that child be healthy, please." His tears drop and Triffany’s heart seems to hurt the more.

Seeing Carlos this way, made her realise that she wasn't tye only one hurting, she had let her pain also affect him who should be exempted from all these.

She step closer to him and embraced him close as tears filled her eyes. "I love you Carlos, and nothing will change that." She hold his back and let his warmth envelope her.

"I am always save with you, I just want all these to end, so that I will be happy with you, I have to meet Jimmy and end all these, only I can." She gently stepped back.

Carlos studies her for a long while, his eyes blurred with tears. "I will be fine." She told him and walked passed him, heading over to the door.

"Wait." He called out and she turned around, he brought out a little box and opened it. "Wear this."

He brought out a wrist watch from the box and she look at him, curious of why he was giving her a wrist watch all of a sudden.

He took her wrist and put it on for her. "You should only be with him for an hour, else I will be worried." He look up at her face.

"Check this time instead, just incase Jimmy throws your phone away, I will be at home waiting for you, one hour alone." He told her and tears roll down her cheek.

He used the tips of his finger and wipe off her tears, Triffany used her fingers to wipe his tears off as she tiptoe and kissed his lips to Carlos surprise.

He held her waist and deeps the kiss, taking control, as his mouth covers her and he thrust his tongue into her mouth then after a few minutes he released her.

He held her cheek with his two hands and stare into her eyes. "I love you so much Triffany, and I will always protect you."

"I love you Carlos, and nothing will stop my love for you." He kissed her again and she let him go, then she walked out of the room without looking back.

"Hey Triffany, do you really have to go?" Gabby asked her as she stopped Triffany by the exit door.

Triffany look up at Gabby and pulled Gabby to an embrace. "Thank you Gabby." She said softly and closed her eyes, saying a little prayer in her head.

"Hey Triffany, I am not in support of you leaving!" Gabby told her, but Triffany pulled out of Gabby's embrace and stare at her face.

"I just want all this to be over, it is only by meeting Jimmy." She held Gabby's hands and squeezed it gently. "You have been a real support to me."

Gabby shook her head softly. "I feel uneasy about this, Triffany I don't like the feeling i am getting about this whole shit." Gabby looked at Triffany with a worried gaze.

"It is all going to be okay." She told Gabby and left her hands. "I will be back soon." Triffany opened the door and walked out of the door.

"Triffany!" She heard her name once she was outside and turn to see Allison glancing all over her. "Hey, are you okay cousin?" Allison asked her.

Triffany put a smile on her face and gently embraced Allison. "I am okay, thanks to you."

Allison refrains and look her over. "You really made us all worried." Allison looked at Triffany’s outfit and paused. "Are you going somewhere?"

Triffany forced a smile. "Yes, I have to go see a friend." Allison brow arched and she looked at Triffany suspiciously.

"Apart form i and Nick, you have no other friends." Allison told her.

Triffany knew that Allison knows her well, but still she can't tell Allison all about Jimmy and what was going on now, she did not even tell her family what happened that day, she did not tell about Jimmy, about the accident.

She had returned that day and locked herself up in her bedroom weeping and remembering that accident, but she all forgot about it after three months when she didn't hear from Jimmy, she thought that his fiancée had recovered and they were happily married somewhere else.

She had comforted herself with that and six months after the accident, she had never thought of it again and had just returned back to being the jovial Triffany.

Triffany looked at Allison and them made a funny face. "Well I have other friends now, that's what getting married to a wealthy man does." She lie to make Allison believe her.

Allison studies her for a while, she knew Triffany was lying to her, but she didn't Press on the topic, she flashed Triffany a smile. "Alright then, I will be at home waiting for you."

Triffany nods and open her car door. "Be careful and come back safely." Allison told her before she entered the car.

As Triffany drove off, she look at her side mirror and saw Allison waving her, tears rolled her cheek and her heart became heavy.

She pressed the phone button in the car and dialled Jimmy's number.

"Text me the address." She said in a low voice and ended the call.

Gabby ran up to Carlos room and walked in without knocking as her eyes glared at her brother who was sitting slightly with his laptop on his hands.

"Why did you let her go!" She shouted and Carlos looked up at his angry sister. "When you said you wanted to speak to her, I only let you because I thought you would stop her."

"But you just let her walk away, Jimmy is fucken dangerous for crying out loud!" Gabby shouted at the top of her voice, hoping that Carlos will make the right choice and go after her.

Carlos rubs his hands on his forehead and look at Gabby. "Everything is under control." He told her softly and Gabby scoffed.

She looked at her brother like he was a lunatic. "What the heck is under control, you let a pregnant woman go meet a man who must have taken away his fiancée life support and buried her."

"You let your wife, go to a man that will stop at nothing until he gets his revenge on her, Carlos you are crazy." She paused. "And here you are telling me that everything is under control." She bite down her lips and runs her hands through her hair.

"You know what, seeing you sit there, without doing anything about this whole situation, just make me realise how weak you are, you can't protect anyone!" She shouted and Carlos closed his eyes in pain.

This was the same word Gabby had told him after their parents died, when he had said he would protect her, but then she was bullied in school but instead of beating the female bullies he made them his friends.

"If anything happens to Triffany because of your nonchalant attitude, I myself, I won't forgive you." Gabby made her way to the door but Carlos held her hands.

"Let me go, the person you should hold onto is Triffany!" She barked at him.

"Gabby, I don't say something I don't do." His words made her stop the fuse, she knew that was one thing Carlos does, he always does what he said he would.

"Come let me show you." He took her hands and lead her to the sofa, then he hands her his laptop as she looked at it.

"I gave Triffany a wrist watch and in it is a tracker, incase he takes her phone away, I will be able to get to her."

"Carlos, but when, what if..."

"I told her if she says there over one hour, I will come for her and I meant it." He told her seriously.

"I am really worried about her, i don't feel good about all this." Gabby said as she stare at her brother, she was like a terrified kid.

Carlos gently held his sister's hands and squeezed it gently. "I have people following her and also keeping track of Jimmy." He told Gabby and this seems to calm Gabby a bit, but she still feels uneasy.
