Chapter 130

Gabby knocked on Triffany’s door, there was no answer so she let herself in, holding a tray of rich prepared meal, she saw Triffany on the bed with her back turn at her.

Gabby exhaled softly and put the food down on the table. "Hey Triffany." She called out.

Hearing Gabby's voice, Triffany opened her eyes and turn around with a puffy eyes and glazed face, she had not expected to see Gabby here.

"Happy to see me?" Gabby flashed her a smile, even if she knew Triffany was not in the mood for the fun play.

Triffany gently sat up and sniffles, wiping of the tears in her eyes, to hide them away from Gabby.

"It is okay to cry." Gabby said softly and sat on the bed next to her. "But, it is not okay to starve yourself and the baby." She said in a more sharp tone and Triffany looked down.

"Gabby I have no appetite." Triffany said in a soft voice that was cracked and hoarse.

Gabby put the tray of to the bed and placed the spoon on the tray. "You have to eat, for anything but the baby, I know your mouth might taste sour from all the crying, but that child inside you will jump for joy just to taste my hand cooked meal."

Gabby's word was so warm and funny, but Triffany was in no mood to laugh, she pressed her lips together and look down at the meal before her.

Gabby rub her forehead with her hands and look at Triffany. "You have to be strong." She flashed her a smile when she got a good idea that could relief them all.

"How about walking with me? I never knew this kind of place existed and Carlos never told me, I saw the beach and it was the best beach I have seen so far." Gabby said with all seriousness and a smile curved out at Triffany’s lips.

"Wow! You just smile." Gabby pointed at Triffany’s lips the smile disappeared immediately. "Come on Triffany." Gabby frowned slightly.

"If you want your baby to be happy, you too should be happy." Gabby held Triffany’s hand and she looked into her eyes. "That is why I Gabby, will be in charge of making the baby smile, so as you, so leave all your worries to me." She made a cute demonstration with her hands.

"Now eat up and I will be right back." Gabby got up to leave but Triffany held her hands. "What?"

"Gabby, I am not in a mood for fun." She told her and put the food down on the table and lay back on the bed.

"Triffany..."

"Gabby please..."

Gabby closed her eyes and exhaled softly, she glance at Triffany and walked over to the desk and took up the tray of food before leaving.

Downstairs she saw Carlos standing by the stairs, she shook her head and his eyes darted, he understands the message Gabby was passing.

He walked over to the sitting room and Gabby hands the tray to a maid and joined him.

"She will come around." Gabby told him softly when she noticed Carlos creased forehead.

"Garrett called me." He look up at Gabby who stare at him and was waiting for him to continue. "He discovered that Jimmy's fiancée was brain dead." Gabby gasped and lifts her hands to her lips in shock.

"Jimmy took her away and there was no more news about her, it seems he had kept her in the place he took Triffany to, and he had showed her to Triffany." His voice was hoarse and his lips pressed in a thin line.

"Then, what happened to her now?" Gabby asked him, her eyes searching his with curiosity. "If she was there when Jimmy took Triffany, why wasn't she there when you met her?"

"She had been buried." Carlos told Gabby and her eyes were wide. "It seems Jimmy gave up and took her life support away, she has already been legally dead."

"You mean, he buried her after keeping on life support for two years?" Gabby was even more perplexed. "Then, why did he..." Gabby paused and her eyes widened.

Carlos scrutinize when he saw Gabby's shock look, he traced her eyes to the direction she was looking at and their he paused when he saw Triffany lowering herself down with her hands holding down the staircase.

The colours on her face were all drained out as she stare into space in a daze.

"Triffany." Carlos got up and ran over to where she was as he held her. "Hey, Triffany." He called out softly but she was not responding to him.

Her eyes were just looking into space and her face was pale, she was like a white paper with no emotions, he held her shoulder and shook her to draw her attention back to him.

"Hey Triffany." He called out again and Gabby came over him, he looked at Gabby with his eyes filled with worry, like he was helpless in this situation.

"Triffany." Gabby squat close to her. "Triffany, she was already dead, it was not your fault, he had only kept her there because he couldn’t bear to let her go."

Gabby look at Carlos when Triffany was not responding to them, they turn their eyes to Triffany who was now holding the stair case to get up.

"Triff." Carlos called out in a soft tone and she turn her eyes to him, their was no tears in her eyes, there was no expression at all, and it was the most terrifying look Carlos and Gabby has ever seen in Triffany.

It was difficult to read what she was thinking, or what she was going to do next.

"Let me meet Jimmy." Triffany told him and his brow creased and he left her shoulders. "I want to go to Jimmy." She said again.

Her eyes was too serious that Carlos staggered backwards, unable to bear the pain that had crawled up his heart.

I want to go to Jimmy

This words repeated itself on Carlos head as he stood by the lobby, looking out of the window, and staring into space.

Gabby came over to him and face her brother with a soft gaze, he had been silent after Triffany had told him that and went into their room.

He has not gone after her, neither had he try to stop her, or told her not to go.

"Carlos, would you let her meet him?" Gabby asked calmly. "What if he hurts her, or take her away forcefully, you know his aim is not to love her, but to punish her."

Carlos closed his eyes, his lips pressed in a thin line as he only let the cold breeze run across his face, he was emotionless and silent, almost cold like snow.

"Carlos, you have to do something!" Gabby said in a loud voice hoping that it brings him out from his thoughts, but he didn't move or turn to her.

"Shit!" Gabby shouted and blew out air from her mouth. "Why does love has to be this difficult?" She scratched the corner of her hair.
