Triffany looked at the door on the left, wondering what he was hiding in there, she looked at the couch and scoffed, she was the lady who should use the bed, but that man was so selfish.
She smiled when she thinks of Gabby, she like her, she was a classy lady after all. Carlos phone that he left on the desk started raining and Triffany saw the caller ID, it was Kelsey the girl Carlos love.
She saw her picture too, she was a pretty lady and they look good together, her face fell, how did she end up this way.
Carlos came into the room and picked the call in Triffany's presence. "Hello, Kelsey love." Triffany looked at him. "I'm back, just arrived, yes."
"I'm glad you are back." Kelsey sounds happy on the other side of the line.
"Where are you?" Carlos asked. "Can we meet up?" Triffany looks at him again. Carlos smiled. "I will be there in an hour time.
He walked over to his closet. "Love you too." With this, he ended the call. "I am going to use the bathroom." He told Triffany coldly.
"You're free," Triffany said as she picked up her phone and left the room.
She walked downstairs where she saw Gabby. "Hi, Triffany." Said Gabby smiled.
"Hi." Triffany doesn't know what to call her yet.
"Am Gabby." Gabby introduce herself smiling.
"Gabby."
"Yes. Let's eat." Gabby held her hands.
"I'm good. I ate on the plane." Triffany said gently.
"There is a delicious meal prepared, which am sure you won't say no to." Gabby lead her to the dining table that was filled with much mouth-watering meal.
"Wow." Triffany bit her lower lips and swallowed.
"Let's dig in," Gabby said with excitement, she pulled a chair out for Triffany who sit. "I told you, you would be surprised." Gabby sat down and passed her a plate of a fresh meal. "Try this."
Triffany took a bit. "Delicious."
"Told you so," Gabby said proudly and they started eating. "There will be a lot more, I will make sure you enjoy your stay here."
Triffany smiled warmly, this was the first time she had ever smiled in this week, she looked at Gabby like an angel, well she was still loved by one person in this big mansion.
Carlos came downstairs after dressing up. "Are you going somewhere?" Gabby asked him, sipping her wine.
"Yes baby, Kelsey is waiting for me." Carlos adjusted his shirt.
Gabby frowned, she looked at Triffany who was busy eating and enjoying her meal. "Carlos, you're married now." She told him bluntly.
Carlos looked at Triffany. "I know Gabby, but she is not my type." Referring to Triffany.
Triffany scoff. "You're not my type either."
"I'm sure am so much your type, else you would have run away when you were asked to marry me. Take a look at the mirror, you're nothing like Kelsey, you're jobless and am sure you're a liability." Carlos smirked.
"Carlos!" Gabby shouted. "Can you just leave already, that's not a way to talk to a lady?" Gabby told him, Triffany looked down on her food with tears clustered in her eyes.
"I'm going already, I can't keep Kelsey waiting." He left the house with Shane Cole who drove him.
"I'm sorry, my brother, he did not grow up well." Gabby apologize to her.
"It's okay, I am used to harsh words." She continues her meal. "This meal is delicious." Gabby looked at her, knowing she is forcing herself to smile.
"Yes. Triffany can you swim." Gabby said changing the topic.
"No," Triffany said.
"Oh my oh my. I can teach you if you want." Gabby said happily.
"No thanks, am scared of water," Triffany said slowly.
"Pweeh... surprising, well when you're ready am here okay," Gabby told her.
"Sure." She smiles.
"Am a good swimmer, I have won a gold medal numerous times." Gabby happily share this information with her.
"Seriously." Triffany seems interested.
"Yes. I could show you if you wish."
"I do want to see." Triffany smile, anything that can make her not think of the husband who doesn't love her.
"Okay. Then let's finish eating first."
"Sure." They continue chatting.
After having so much fun with Kelsey, they sat down in a restaurant having dinner. “So how was your honeymoon trip?” Kelsey asked.
“Terrible,” Carlos said in one word.
Kelsey smiled, she sipped her wine. “Why did you say that?”
“You should know the reason. Forced on a trip I care less about,” Carlos said softly.
“That’s one thing with rich people.”
“You know, I would spend two months on a trip with you far away, If I was married to you.” Carlos fixed his eyes on her.
“I know but it’s not possible,” Kelsey mutters.
“It can be possible,” Carlos said seriously.
Kelsey looks up at his serious face. “I don’t understand.”
Carlos gave her a warm smile and held her hands from across the table. “Soon you will understand.”
Kelsey decided to drop the topic. “Tell me about your trip.” She was curious and wanted to know the details of what he did with Triffany.
‘There’s nothing to tell you, it was very boring.” Carlos lifts his wine to his lips and took a large gulp, he felt so tired from everything that had to happen lately.
“Did to make love to her?” Kelsey asked softly, this was what she have been curious to know.
“Jazz, that will be gross,” Carlos said irritated.
“Why? She is your wife Carlos.” Kelsey said, she just can’t believe him.
Carlos looked at her seriously. “Kelsey I can’t kiss any lady that’s not you.” Kelsey looked at his eyes, she notices he was not lying, she smiled. “Kelsey I missed you.” Carlos held her hands.
“But you couldn’t call me.” Kelsey pout.
“I was waiting for the right opportunity, Kelsey you are more important to me than anyone else.” Carlos looks into her eyes with love.
“Your family should come first,” Kelsey told him and they both smile. Kelsey lean closer and kissed his lips.
Carlos looks at her. “There’s a place I want to take you to, but you should eat first.” Carlos kissed her hand.
“Am curious, where?”
“It’s a secret.” He sips his wine.
“Let’s go already, am done with my meal.” Kelsey sips the remaining wine on her glass.
Carlos chuckled. “You’re so impatient.”
“You know already.” Kelsey picked her purse up.
“That’s why I love you. You know childhood times.” Carlos smiled.
Kelsey rolled her eyes. “Please don’t bring that up.” They both laugh. “Let’s go already, I love your surprises.”
“I am sure you do.” Carlos paid for the meal and they left the restaurant.
