Chapter 21
Twirl Boutique.
A staff approach Triffany who was waiting for Carlos. "Miss, are you going to try it out now?" The staff asked.
Triffany had been here over an hour and yet he was not still here. "Just select a good one for me, I will try it on when he comes."
"Okay, ma'am." The staff said and walked out.
Triffany sighed in her heart, her ideal husband would have been here waiting for her and they would both be so lovey-dovey picking out the wedding dress.
She looked at the time on her wristwatch, she furrowed her brows, rich people don't keep to time. If Nick hasn't to her to leave, she would have been watching her favourite show.
She picked up the coffee she was offered and took a large sip, her eyes scanning the entrance of the VIP lounge to see if she can spot any trace of that asshole. She was already pissed and promise herself to give him the piece of her angry mind.
Carlos Zack entered Kelsey's apartment, he saw Abbey making her a cup of warm lime tea. "Where is she?"
"In her room, she just closed her eyes for a nap." Abbey looked at Carlos. "Can you stay with her? She's too stubborn and she's having a tough time now."
Carlos expression looks sad. "I have to go to the shop, please take care of her." Abbey picked up her bag and left.
Carlos walked into Kelsey's room, he sat down close to her bed and touched her forehead gently to feel her temperature.
She was burning up, his heart was sad, this will be hard for him if she gets sick, he went to the kitchen and bring a clean towel and a bowl of ice.
He puts the ice into the towel and places it on her forehead to calm her temperature.
His heart in pain to see her this way, Kelsey rarely fall sick, she was only sick when she lose someone precious to her, she was this way when her grandmother died.
That was the day he promised never to leave her, but now he betrayed her, he was getting married, he felt guilty.

The staff came to Triffany again with a refill of coffee. "Ma'am a new glass of coffee."
"Thanks." Triffany smiled warmly at her.
"Ma'am you have been here for three hours now." The staff said looking at Triffany who checked her wristwatch, it was exactly what the staff told her. "You should try out the wedding gown."
"Okay, I will just finish this glass of coffee and come over," Triffany told the staff who bowed and left.
Triffany picked up her phone and dialled Allison's contact. "Hi, girl."
"Triffany, what's up?" Allison's voice came from the other side of the line.
"I'm good, where are you?" Triffany who have been here for three hours ask, she had to go somewhere to clear her head.
"I'm going out for my evening lesson."
"Again?" Triffany asked, Allison was the only person she can hang out with since Nick was an ass who chased her out of their apartment.
"Triffany, I've got to study, my exams are at the corner."
"You should, so as not to follow my footsteps," Triffany told her, her voice filled with tiny regret, if she had a job now she surely won't be here all alone waiting for an asshole that will never show up.
"Exactly."
"Okay study hard," Triffany told her before ending the call.
She sips her coffee and stands up to go try the wedding dress, her heart was aching, this was not a marriage, this was a trade, her heart was crying but she kept a smiling face as she tried the wedding dress.
Carlos prepared a warm porridge for Kelsey, he went to her room. "Kelsey, time to have your dinner." He sat down on the bed next to her. "I made it as you like it."
He gave her a spoon after blowing it to cool. "How is it?"
"Delicious," Kelsey said softly.
Carlos smiled. "Eat up so you can take your drugs." He touches her forehead with his hands. "Your temperature is dropping. "I better go prepare you a warm bath."
He was about to stand up, Kelsey held his hands and he looked at her. "Thank you for staying with me," Kelsey said gently.
He looked into her gentle eyes. "I can't leave you like this, you shouldn't fall sick anymore. It's stressful. I will be right back."
Kelsey leans in and kisses his lips gently. "I better eat now."
Carlos smiled and licks his lips. "Yes, you should. I will be right back okay." He stands up and left for the bathroom.
He came back a few minutes later. "All done." He sits close to her. "Let me feed you."
"I'm no longer a kid, my hands are alright." Kelsey giggle.
"You're still my baby." Carlos insists.
"Not anymore." Kelsey's word made them both paused and stare at each other, the reality flashing back to them. "Carlos, I thought you would be going to pick a wedding suit and dress with her today."
Carlos touched her nose gently. "You're more important, I cancelled the plans. Don't get sick Kelsey." His eyes filled with love.
"I couldn't help it."
Carlos held her hands. "Come on, I will take you to the bathroom." He carried her.
"My legs are fine." She smiled.
"You're my princess, I won't let you stress yourself." He took her to the bathroom and put her into the bathtub. "Should I help you?" He asked her.
"Get the hell out of here." She scolds him playfully and they both smile.
"If you need anything, call me okay." Carlos grin.
"Sure, but nothing. Now go far away from the bathroom." Carlos kissed her pouty lips and left the bathroom to the sitting room.
