101. The Witch Coven

Freda POV

“Freda,”.

Damon called my name, his loud voice making my heart skip. I’ve been caught.

My heart pounded in my chest as I turned to face him, trying to keep my expression neutral, but Damien kept staring at me as I remained quiet. Why should I be the one to break the silence, I thought to myself but before I could speak up, he spoke first.

“Freda, ” he repeated, with a calmer tone as he stepped closer. “What’s wrong?”

I shook my head, forcing a weak smile. “Nothing, really. I’m fine.”

He took another step toward me, “You’re not fine. I can see it, your heart is beating really fast Freda. I know you were listening to my conversation with the elders, you don’t have to lie.

My stomach twisted into knots. How did he know? I almost slapped myself as I remembered he's a vampire.

Heat rushed to my face, and I quickly looked away, not sure of how to respond.

“You heard them questioning your place, doubting whether you’re fit to be the queen.”

My body stiffened, well they weren’t lying, it would have been my response but my lips wanted to remain shut.

I had hoped to avoid this conversation, to pretend I never knew about what every discussion they had

“Freda, talk to me.”

“I…” The words caught in my throat. I wanted to defend myself, to say something, but my emotions were all over. I hated feeling this way, It's sad.

Finally, I spoke, my voice shaky as I tried to hold back my tears.

“Nobody wants me to be the queen, Damien. Nobody thinks I belong here, and I know I don’t belong here.”

His jaw tightened, his eyes suddenly becoming dark which was scary “What they think doesn’t matter.”

“But it does!” I shot back, my voice rising. “Everyone sees me as an outsider. A human. They think I’m a useless, that I’ll never be enough for this kingdom”

“Enough!” Damon’s voice cut through the room, startling me. He took a step toward me. “I told you before, what they think doesn’t matter. It’s what *we* think that matters.”

I swallowed hard, feeling my chest tighten. “How can you be so sure?” I asked, my voice trembling. “How can you look at me and not see what everyone else sees? I’m not like them, Damien. I’ll never be like them.”

Damien reached for my hand, pulling me closer to him until our bodies were almost touching. His grip on my waist was strong but his hands still felt soft. His eyes locked onto mine, and for a second, I forgot how to breathe.

“You are more than enough, Freda,” he said, his voice low, “You are *my* mate, destined to be with me. And you are going to be an incredible queen, whether they see it now or not.”

I blinked, taken aback by the words coming from his mouth. I had never doubted Damon’s feelings for me, but hearing him say those words, being so sure of my place by his side, stirred something deep inside me.

I shook my head, trying to fight the tears that were about to drop from my eyes. “I’m not worth it,” I whispered, the words slipping out before I could stop them. “I’m not worth all of this.”

In an instant, Damon’s hand cupped my chin, tilting my face up toward his. “You *are* worth it,” he said. “You are worth everything, Freda. Don’t ever doubt that.”

Tears stung the back of my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. “But the kingdom—”

“The kingdom will follow their king, and I choose you,” Damon interrupted, his grip tightening slightly, pulling me even closer. “You are mine, Freda. And I am yours.”

I stared at him, My heart pounded in my chest, and the room seemed too hot and small .

Before I could respond, Damien’s lips crashed into mine, capturing me in a kiss that sent a jolt of electricity through my entire body. His hands slid around my waist, pulling me closer to himself, and for a moment, the world around us disappeared.

All the doubts, the fear, the voices of the elders faded into nothing as Damon kissed me, his lips felt softer than before as he kissed me hungrily.

He was desperate, as If he needed to prove to me just how much I meant to him.

I melted into his touch, my hands going round his neck as I kissed back.

Damien’s kiss deepened, his hands roaming across my back, holding me as if he would never let me go.

When we finally pulled apart, breathless and flushed, Damien spoke up, “You are everything to me,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

I couldn’t speak. I could barely think. All I knew was that in that moment, I felt something shift inside me. I looked at the eyes that made me believe I was the most important person in the world.

Damon leaned down again, his lips brushing against mine, softer this time . I closed my eyes, losing myself in him.

One kiss became two, then three, and before I knew it, my legs were wrapped around Damien and we were up in his room.

We continued kissing for god knows how long before I removed Damien’s shirt

“Are you sure?” He said softly. “Yes I am.”

Damien locked his lips with mine immediately I replied, his warm hands caressing my body before he slowly began to undress me, after a few moments we were all completely naked. He placed light kisses on my body before he started sucking my nipples as I played with his hair. He went down spreading my legs. He dug his tongue inside my vagina, suddenly it was hard for me to breath. He grabbed one of my breasts and squeezed it.

My moan became louder, my legs were shaking from the pleasure but I didn’t want him to stop, I wanted more.

Damien stopped, whispering to my ears “ You’re all wet for me my queen” I hid my face in his chest As he slowly entered me, we both breathed with the same frequency. His thrusts were slow at first, before he became faster.

My moan became louder, my heart beating so fast as he spoke.

“You’re all I want, my queen”
