MINE
FREDA
Two handsome studs stepped into the meeting room and their figures were framed by the flickering torchlight. I raised my eyebrows in surprise as I observed how identical they looked. They were twins. Tall and impeccably dressed in classy clothes, they exuded an air of effortless power. They instantly became the center of attention as they strutted down the meeting hall with nonchalant expressions.
Their faces were pale like your usual vampire but strikingly handsome with sharp cheekbones and sculpted features. They were almost perfect, almost. Although they were twins, they had distinct differences that set them apart.
The one on the left walked with a confideny swagger. He had platinum blonde hair which was meticulously combed back and his crimson eyes scammed the room with an air of detached amusement. He had an air of arrogance around him which reduced his appeal a little.
The other twin, however, was the one that captivated my attention with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. He had long dark hair which he styled in a messy perfection, the kind achieved through effortless effort. He wore the same clothes as his other twin but somehow, he managed to infuse it with a certain rebellious charm. A single silver earring glinted in his ear and a small tattoo adorned the base of his neck.
But, it was his eyes that held me spellbound. They were the most captivating shade of crimson I'd ever seen, reflecting the torchlights like molten rubies. As I looked into those eyes, I felt a sense of familiarity and recognition. I thought it was impossible because I had never met a vampire prior to coming to the Vampire Castle yet I couldn't deny the feeling of familiarity swirling in me.
My thoughts raced as I tried to recall where I had seen that beautiful specimen previously but my mind drew a blank. Suddenly, a jolt of recognition shot through me as a memory flashed through my mind like a bolt of lightning. It was him, the vampire I had dreamt about.
My jaw dropped as I connected the dots. He looked exactly like the man in my dreams. The same aura around him, the way he carried himself, those eyes. Everything matched. Suddenly, I felt a sense of longing and desire starting to well up inside me.
“What is happening to me?” I muttered to myself as I tried to control myself. I had the insane urge to run up to that man and hang on to him. And strangely enough, I liked the feeling.
“Are you alright?” My father asked quietly as he sensed the way my body tensed up.
I nodded in response as I continued to watched Mr dream guy and his twin walk up to King Draken.
“Welcome back my sons.” Kong Draken greeted his son's with a pride washing over his features. The twins dipped in a shallow bow as they respectfully greeted there father.
“I heard of your exploits. You've subjugated the northern covens so quick. I'm proud of both of you.” King Drake laughed loudly as he patted the shoulders of his sons.
“Ah father, it was nothing. Light work at best.” The twin with the blonde hair drawled with a voice as smooth as velvet. “ We've returned to report the news to you but it seems you're having….a rather lively evening.”
A cruel stretched across Draken’s lips as he turned to glare down at us.
“Indeed Steve. These unruly alphas seem to have forgotten who holds the power here.” He scoffed. His eyes gleaming with pride.
“Well…. Let's just say they'll have a lot of time to reflect on that fact once they're safely…..reflected.” Steve chuckled coldly. His icy red eyes swept across the room, lingering for a moment on the bloodied body of alpha lyrus before landing on the rest of us.
“Damien. Is everything alright?” King Draken asked his other son skeptically.
“Damien.” I said to myself. The sound of his name left sweet flavor at the tip of my tongue as I repeated it over and over again. I glanced over at Damien and his behavior took a drastic shift. The nonchalant air around him faded away as he started become antsy as his eyes darted around the room.
His beautiful crimson eyes searched scanned the room as he seemgly searched for something - or someone.
“Damien?” King Draken boomed at his son in annoyance but Darius ignored him completely as he pushed through the throng the werewolves as his gaze wandered around.
My heart hammered against my ribs as I realized he was walking in my direction. I suddenly had a strange thought that I was probably the one he was looking for but quickly discarded that thought. It was impossible, we had never met each other other so it wasn't possible that…..
Our eyes met. My thoughts turned in a mess as I felt his crimson eyes bore into me with an intensity that took my breath away. For a single, fleeting moment. Everything around us disappeared and faded away. The world seemed to shrink until all that existed was him and me. A silent conversation seemed to pass through us, a connection that transcended the realm of spoken words.
His full lips moved ever so slightly, and though no sound reached my ear, I knew exactly what he mouthed. “Mine.”
That single word he uttered possessively sent a wave of heat rushing through me. Was he…. claiming me? Was he acknowledging me as his mate? Was that the reason why I felt all that rush emotion when I set my sights on him? The idea was both terrifying and thrilling.
Before I could properly articulate my thoughts, Damien pushed through the remaining werewolves when earned him a snarl or two but he didn't care as his eyes were fixed solely on me. His eyes burned with an intensity that made me feel both exposed and strangly…safe.
My father growled as he noticed the vampire making way towards us and Darius stopped in his tracks, staring at my father before hissing in anger at my old man. The tension in the air increased by a fold as the other alpha's stared at the confrontation curiously.
