PRETTY THING

Freda's pov

"This is so much bigger than I expected," I said, opening the large doors that led to the main entrance of the house.

"I am not surprised that His Majesty did this," Christie said, dragging out bags behind her. Most of our things had been dropped off last night because the vampires could not enter the sun.

As I looked around the house Christie followed behind me, we were both in shock as to the size of the house, it looked like something that a whole family could live in. I was glad when I found out how close it was to my mother's apartment.

"The kitchen is massive, I am excited about what I could do in there," Christie said with excitement on her face. She had been dull since she came back from her date yesterday but I didn't want to ask. I know Christie, if it was something she couldn't handle she would come to me, and I was ready to wait for her to come to me cause I was desperate to know how things went with her and Elijah yesterday.

"Well you could teach me some magic in there too," I said smiling, the thought of cooking for Damien gave me tingles and I was looking forward to making him something.

"Great, you have that look on your face," she said and I frowned

"What look?"  I asked her as I opened a cabinet and saw it fully stocked. I wasn't even surprised it was stocked with things we needed.

"The 'I want to please Damien' look, you had it on your face to that day we went shopping, it's practically all over your face," she said and I nodded slowly. I didn't realize it was obvious how much I wanted to do everything for Damien.

Ever since I got crowned queen I felt a lot different, the respect was even more, the nobles never bowed when they saw me but since I became queen they bowed whenever I was in sight. I remember entering the throne room three times just so they could bow three times, it was fun and Damien knew what I was doing and locked me out of the throne room the fourth time.

"There you go thinking about His Majesty again," Christie said and I smiled, It seemed to be all I had done lately, think about Damien.

"Oh well, I can't help it, let's go check out the rooms and pick," I said as we headed up the stairs, it was a two-bedroom apartment and I didn't realize that it was a room that occupied the whole of the top floor until we got it.

"Well looks like you get to pick this one," Christie said as we both laughed, the room was very spacious that you could fit two extra rooms in its space, the bed was by the window, and it was just the size I and Damien shared in the castle which was large by the way. It had wardrobes that held new clothes and shoes, Damien never ceased to surprise me, he got me new things, and they were all in my sizes, smiling I closed the cupboard and walked to the bathroom, and my surprise, it was just as big, with enough room to walk around, there was a bath and a small steam room, my heart melted with appreciation, he did a lot to make me feel comfortable rather than the hostel I started with.

"Trust me if you have any friends over they would wonder how you could afford this place," Christie said sitting on the large bed.

"If I have friends over Christie, besides don't think about that, let's just go have a little tour around, this is your first time in the human world so come, let's go see so many things," I said sounding excited, I could see Christie's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Come on, pick your case, your room should be downstairs, you are welcome to sleep with me in mine If you want" I suggested and she shook her head.

"You are queen now Freda, I will not taint your room w-'"

"You talk too much sometimes, but we will get back to this conversation, but first of all let's get going," I said.

We headed downstairs and outside of the house, as we walked I looked around trying to make sure that Damien had sent the wolves he had handpicked from my father's kingdom to watch over us. I saw one dressed in black and I immediately knew he was one of them, he was on the other side of the streets acting like he wasn't looking out for us.

"This place is beautiful, I have heard a lot from the people I met at the blood club about the human world, I even heard their club is way filthier than ours and that they did all kinds of stuff there"

Christie said and I was suddenly interested in knowing more about the human club. We passed by my mother's house and I knew then that it was a far enough walk for today, we needed to rest and unpack the rest of our things.

"Come on, I'm tired and hungry, and besides we haven't rested well since let's go back and we will continue this another time"

"Okay" she answered and we turned into a corner so we could get home faster but we were suddenly blocked by a huge ugly dirty man.

"Please excuse us, sir," Christie said, I couldn't even speak cause my nose was extra sensitive with how pungent he smelt.

"Aren't you girls pretty?" he sneered, exposing his rotten teeth.

"I like pretty girls, but I like you better," he said trying to touch me and I swatted his hands away.

"Don't fucking touch me" I said and it made him rub his dick.

"I love it when they are feisty you know," he said and I looked back, I signaled for Christie to run back in the direction we came from and as we both tried to run he grabbed my hair.

He tugged on it so hard that I jerked, Christie came back and hit him, he let go of my hair and I turned back and bumped into a body and I froze, please not another one, I prayed as I turned around to see Damien.
