SEDUCE OUR MATE
Freda's Pov
Getting into my room, I fell on the bed with a laugh. Mother was right, I had to own up to my place in Damien's life whether he wanted it or not. I was going to continue invading his space till he could not endure it anymore and speak to me.
I was going to fight for this relationship. I wanted more than to be the werewolf guest that came to the castle and Damien recognized her as his mate. I wanted to be his wife, his queen. I wanted him to mark me as his, I didn't care if I had to be a vampire forever. I would stay side by side with Damien in any situation.
Kara and Christie walked into my chamber after a soft knock and I squealed at their arrival. I had invited Kara over to lift my spirit for this mission. I had to be in a happy mood to show Damien that I was satisfied being in the castle.
I also wanted to dissolve the news that the maids must have spread to the kingdom about my refusal to be queen. If they saw my effective presence in the castle, the right news would spread.
"I know it feels good to be back in this room" Kara search through my novels."It felt like you were going to die if you didn't come back."
"I was. When Damien asked that I leave…goodness."
"So what's the plan" she jumped on the bed with me."
"Seduce my king," I said and Christie stifled a chuckle. "What?" I rolled my eyes at her.
"Nothing." She smiled again. "I just know too much about these things…maybe I could help."
Kara and I gasped together before we ended it with a chorus of laughs. "You, Christie?" I laughed.
"I told you I worked at the blood club when I was sold. We were made to do some dirty training"
"Feed us, our teacher" Kara bowed on Christie's feet jokingly.
"Well, it usually starts with sexy attire, something men cannot resist. Something that would make them look at you twice. Then, a sexy look also, something that gives the men approval that it was okay to stare and approach you…"
"You think you have that?" Kara pushed my shoulder and teased.
"Oh, you need not ask. I've read enough novels to know how to lure a man"
"Well, theory is a lot different from practice," Kara said and I shrugged, urging Christie to go on.
"You can progress to reaching out to the man and teasing him, till all he wants to do is grab you and then you reject him."
"Wicked!" Kara remarked. "I would never do that to my man."
I rolled my eyes. "Like you have one."
"Well, it's all part of what I wanted to tell you."
I turned to look at Kara, who had a blush on her face. "Don't tell me…"
"Yes," she nodded. I swallowed but could by express my joy. Kara had found her mate That was all it meant.
"Wait, when?"
"Yesterday. We only met once when your father asked me to come with him to share some food for the wolf's elders. He is a son of Elder Herbert"
My eyes shot up. "Elder Herbert's son is back?" Since we were little, Kara, Tyler and I were good friends. But he had traveled for studies abroad at a reputable werewolf academy that even my father couldn't afford for Lilly. Who would have thought that he was Kara's mate?
"I froze when my wolf said, mate. It was unbelievable, he was staring right at me throughout the visit. Later, I heard your father say he asked some questions about me. I just hope he likes me." She pouted.
"Well, Kara you should be building your live story instead of mine. You need to get your man!"
"I cannot just do that. I have to tell you first. I couldn't sleep throughout the night yesterday. We haven't spoken."
"Then I better side this out on time. Shall I tell my father to arrange an accidental date for you and him?"
"Oh, please do" Kara squealed and I laughed turning back to Christie. "We're getting sexy dresses first right?"
"That's the first step, my queen" Christie smiled.
"Then do be it. We need to go now and get fit everyone, Kara now has a man she wishes to seduce, and you Christie.. "
"I do not have a man yet" she blushed, playing with her fingers.
"How about Elijah?" I frowned.
"Freda, he's only being friendly with me. I doubt if he lines me as much as I do. I think he's just nice. I don't want to misunderstand anything. I also don't want to offend Lady Agatha."
"Well, that's a little complicated, but trust me, I know Elijah likes you."
"You haven't even seen him yet.*
"Well, I don't need to. His actions towards you prove that. I think you shouldn't be too hard on yourself and for once don't bother about Lady Agatha's reaction. Focus on only him." I said and she nodded.
"I'll do just that"
"Now, let's go," I said.
After dressing up, in no time we dashed out of the castle with Christie's guide. She knew all her way around town. The palace carriages were offered but I rejected it, insisting that we walk around Valthrun.
I recognized the attention on me and even responded to some responses of people who asked if that was the queen. I did some kindness in the street before we hit the market mall for dresses.
We were attended to specially and I got to see a lot of dresses that were enough to cause Damien to drool.
I would stay in the palace as long as I wanted till Damien confessed his love again for me without putting up a debate.
Kara and Christie also shopped for enough dresses for their mission. If there was anything I wanted, it was for my girls to be happy if I was.
