THE DARE

Freda's pov

"Do you think lying to them about us being, you know, is a good idea?" Christie asked when we arrived at the party. We were outside but could still hear the bubbling sound of the music. I was extremely excited and I didn't care if they were going to find out that I lied but I wanted to be at the party so badly.

"It was the best idea, and there is no way they would find out if one of us didn't tell them," I said, giving Christie a warning look. She understood it and nodded.

"Great! Let's go have fun. I know you need this break too, Christie, you think I don't see how down you have been since we arrived here. Let's just focus on tonight and have fun" I said and she smiled.

We interlocked our hands and made our way towards the entrance but I paused, making Christie stop also.

"What's wrong?" She asked and I groaned.

"It's the guy I told you about"

"Who? Seth? He's the one at the door?" She asked curiously and I nodded.

"What is he doing here?"

"He was invited, what do you think?" I said, rolling my eyes. I was not in the mood for him today, besides he's been avoiding me since so hopefully he'd avoid me now.

"Come on," I said pulling Christie as we walked towards the door and he saw me, a frown came upon his face and I got ready for whatever, but what left his mouth was not what I had been expecting him to say.

"What the fuck are you doing at a night party?"

What?.

"I don't understand what you mean by that?" I asked confused, why was he questioning me, I thought to myself.

"You should not be here," he said and I chuckled.

"You have no right to tell me where I should and shouldn't be," I said folding my hands, Christie just stood there in awe as she watched the interaction.

"Go home Freda, it's late and patties like this aren't for you," he said and I got angry, I walked up to him making sure I was in his face, and my index finger poked his chest while I spoke.

"You don't get to talk to me or tell me what is good for me or not" With that I grabbed Christie's hands and pulled her inside the party.

"Why was he acting like that? All protective and all?" Christie asked me, yelling over the loud music.

"I don't know, something is not right with him I think" I replied also shouting over the loud music.

The party didn't look like a large party although the bodies in the large house were plenty but compared to the gatherings we usually have this was nothing.

The song playing didn't sound weird like I thought it would with all the heavy beats.

"This is what people call a party nowadays?" Christie asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't brag now because you've been to parties, this is my first one I can't tell if it's how it's supposed to be" I said nodding my head to the beat of the music.

"It's not ba-"

"Oh you're here, take this" Pamela said, handing me a cup. I looked inside and the contents smelled like hard cigars mixed in water.

"Hey, this is my date," I said introducing Christie and I could see the once-over look Pamela gave her, Christie is beautiful so I knew she had no bad thoughts about her.

"Hi, I love your hair," she said and Christie smiled.

"Wait I'd get you a cup too," she said and walked away.

"She's nice," Christie said and I nodded taking a sip of what was inside the cup, it tasted like crap but I swallowed it anyways.

"Here," Pamela said, coming back and handing Christie a cup of what I was having and Christie downed it in one swing.

Wow.

"So uhh the party is about to start a-"

"It hasn't started yet?" I asked In confusion and Pamela smiled.

"Not yet, but it's starting soon, you should gather around the fire outside, we shall be starting the party with a game," she said and I smiled.

"Sure, where is the way to the fire?" I asked and she showed us to the back of the building where a few people were seated around a burning fire.

We settled down next to each other and looked around, I didn't know what to do or how to act but I knew Christie was less bothered about what was going on around, if anything she looked less interested.

"Can I go find where to get another drink?" She asked me and I nodded, she got up from the wood and went inside the house, out of the corner of my eyes I saw Seth frowning and walking towards me.

"What is it?" I asked and he stopped In Front of me with his hands in his pants pocket.

"You need to leave here! Stay inside the house rather, don't party with the rest" he said, I was beginning to get angry at what he was saying and I wasn't in the mood so I ignored him and stared at the fire, Pamela was already gathering people to sit down and now more people were outside and I guessed the party was already starting.

"What's going on?' I heard Christie say and I turned to smile at her.

"Nothing the party is starting already"

She took a seat beside me blocking Seth's view and I felt better, maybe I should tell Damien about him, I thought to myself, while I was thinking about ways to tell Damien about Seth I heard my name being called out.

"What?" I said to Pamela who was staring at both me and Christie.

"What?" I asked again and Pamela smiled.

"Your girlfriend picked dare and she was dared to kiss you, that should not even be a problem since you guys are together," she said and I turned to look at the horrified look on Christie's face.
