REVEAL
DAMIEN'S POV
It was another night in the human world. I had debated on coming back so soon but I just had to see with my eyes how Freda was fairing, I greeted a few humans on my way, I marveled at how easy it was to roam around the humans at night and how clueless they were to what I was.
As I approached Freda's apartment I saw Seth, the college kid who had been troubling Freda whom I had given a stern warning.
I hastened my footsteps to get to him faster and when I did I pulled him by the shirt and pushed him into the wall just behind Freda's apartment.
"Dude what the fuck is r-"
His eyes widened when they met mine, the look of fear had returned and his pulse was quicker, I could taste his fear and I knew if I sank my teeth into his veins I would be able to taste fear in his blood.
"What are you doing coming out of Freda's apartment, I thought I gave you all the warnings you needed, or is it that you're a sucker for punishment?!" I asked him pushing his body harder into the wall and he groaned.
"Shhh, do not make a sound before I put my fist through your head" I threatened and he muffled his groans.
"I-I was making sure she was okay, more like I was protecting her," he said and I frowned.
"I said stay away from her not protect her, I can do that by myself," I said glaring at him.
"You don't understand what was going to happen"
"Enlighten me," I said still holding him up against the wall, I didn't even feel his weight and he was a big college kid, his trembling had reduced and his pulse was back to normal and I didn't like that at all if there was no fear there was nothing to rule him by so I glared at him making my eye color change, I did not want to do too much so I didn't let my fangs come out but my claws did and when he saw them his heart began racing again and this time it was faster than before.
Good.
"S-she was at a party, and when she came in with the other girl I warned her to go back, she didn't listen so I left her because you warned me about upsetting her so I left her and t-then s-"
"She what? You don't have a lot of time buddy" I said and he swallowed his saliva and continued speaking, I knew it was unnecessary to keep holding him up but I didn't let him go still.
"Then there was a game and I heard a few of my friends, well technically they aren't my friends but we are on the same basketball team, I heard them say they were going to touch Freda and -"
I saw red immediately, some little humans were going to touch what was mine and it didn't sit well with me.
"Do you know them?" I asked and he nodded his head.
"Please don't hurt me, all I did was get her away from there before they could do anything to her"
I dropped him down but didn't give him room to run away from me. I stared down at the huge boy who, compared to me, was nothing. He could tell I was angry so he stuck so close to the wall.
"Tell me what these boys said and what they were planning," I said, sounding surprisingly calm.
"They said they were going to do things to them, she and the other girl she came in with, and that they were going to make a video of it and send it to the school group for everybody to see, b-but I stopped that from happening right on time, I didn't even wait for the party to be over i-i just took them, she argued but I couldn't help it I touched her and I'm sorry but it was the only way to get her to move, and I put them in my car and made her give me her address and I brought them home, I swear that was all I did," he said and I nodded my head very slowly, too slow for my liking, I was angry but also trying to be careful so I don't take it out on Seth, he was a good human.
"It's okay, I am not going to hurt you you have done me a good thing, but I am going to ask something of you," I said and he stared at me warily.
"W-what is that?" He asked cautiously as well.
"I am going to need the names of everybody and I-"
"Please, if you are anything you say you are you should do nothing to harm them, we are humans and college boys are stupid ones at that, they don't know what they were getting themselves into-"
"Trying to protect them I see," I said, rubbing my temples. I originally wasn't planning on doing anything, at least not me personally but it didn't matter because one way or the other they were gonna get visited.
"I promise not to hurt them, I just want to pay them a visit as I paid you is all," I said trying to assure him, he nodded briefly and gave me their names, when he was done I patted him on the shoulders and smiled at him, he had done well today and I was proud of him.
"You have done well and I owe you, thank you," I said, he nodded and for the first time since I had seen him, he smiled.
"You are welcome but quick question, why are you stalking her, I mean aren't you doing too much for someone who is stalking another person" he said and I chuckled, he was a cute kid.
"I am not stalking her, she is my wife," I said and walked inside the house leaving him stunned.
