NO KISS
Freda's Pov
The girls were excited to see this work, to see me kiss Christie. I guess this was the disadvantage of lying at a party. Christie was terrified at the idea, she didn't expect that the girls would want us all cuddly on each other. She glared at me asking what we should do.
I didn't want to reveal to the girls that I had lied. That could be the beginning of my bullying at school. The credible truth was that I wanted to feel among and this would only implicate things further.
"We're waiting." Pamela cut in.
"You need to excuse us for some minute," I said, dragging Christie from where she sat to a corner where they could see us but couldn't hear us.
"Christie,,," I said in a low voice. ", I know this is strange to you, but we need to."
"Do you mean a kiss on the lips, my queen?" She asked and I nodded. "How can such happen, I would be damned to try that"
"You would not, it would be very slight"
"It is an abomination to do that with you. You allowed me to look into your eyes and talk with you as a friend, but that is the limit, Queen Freda. This is overboard."
I hissed slightly, fed up with Christie's lecture. Kara and I have had a friendly slight touch of lips, that was all I wanted Christie to do also, but she wasn't complying.
We spent some more minutes arguing silently as the girls glared at us. At this point, I knew I had messed up and would probably be the topic of tomorrow.
Christie and I walked back into the gathering.
"She's very shy," I said, palming Christie's face. "We could just skip this section of the game."
"No." One of the girls protested, "You already took too much of our time. Just do the damn kiss"
As I reached out to Christie, she moved her lips backward, stiffening her body like we weren't even friends.
"What's going on here" the voice stopped us as we all directed our attention to Seth who came into our gathering holding a bottle of liquor.
"Seth." Pamela quickly stood up. From where she sat, walked toward him, and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Freda and Christie here were just about to kiss," she said, rubbing his chest with her hand.
Seth's gaze fell on me and he drowned. If he was here to pick on me in front of these girls then I was not ready for it.
He walked away from Pamela and walked towards me, taking my hand and dragging me out of the gathering. Christie rushed after me, but I stopped Seth before he could go far.
"What the heck? Why would you just come to…"
"You pretended to be a lesbian to crash into a party?"
"Who told you I was pretending…"
"You should be home" he cut in
"Why should I listen to that piece of information from you?" I arched my brows. He glanced at his watch again, before dragging me totally out of the gathering.
"It's late. You should leave" he said again.
"You just don't want me anywhere around you, yeah. You're just a bully jealous of other people and having no choice but to pick on them"
"You know what I don't want. I don't want anyone here to suffer for you being at this party. I do not want anyone hurt, so you had better leave!"
Did he think I could hurt anyone?
"I'm not leaving" I argued and he rolled his eyes.
"You do not have a choice anyway," he said wanting to drag me once more but Pamela rushed outside to where we stood calling his name. He paused, slightly frowning at her.
"Seth, aren't you attending the party" she asked, and gave a recognizable seductive eyes.
"I have better things to attend to."
"Like what?" She leaned against him with a smile, looking into his eyes. "I was thinking you could crash at my place, tonight" She trailed her hands on his lips, but he pushed her slightly.
"I need to get Freda home."
"What?"
"Let's speak later, Pamela," he said and once again, pulled my hand taking Christie and me to his car. After opening the door, he pushed us in. Pamela's eyes bulged, but I also didn't know what was going on. So she should be looking at me with those eyes like I stole her man. I had mine.
"Is this a kidnap?" I asked Seth when the engine if the car started.
"Oh, I wish" he muttered. "I wished I could get you out of the whole school if I can"
We drove in silence for some while, with Christie whispering to ask me if we were safe, but Seth broke it by asking directions to my house, I told him the address and indeed he was taking us home.
After he entered the estate and parked in front of my apartment. We got down. He spent some time looking around the house before turning to say. "He is rich as you must be so lucky."
My face squinted. "Who is rich?" I asked him.
"Never mind," he said. "Please, go in. You had a long day. It's late and don't ever try coming to parties like that, especially if Pamela invites you."
"Nothing would have happened to us. It was just a party. It is you I should be scared of. Why did you bring me home? What are your intentions?"
"Maybe soon you'll understand that not everyone that puts on a smile is nice. What they might have done to you tonight, might make you quit school if you can not handle bullying, molestation, and harassment."
My face fell, he spoke like he cares, but I didn't understand him or his sudden act of care.
"I'll watch you go in.", he said and I signaled to Christie that we could go inside. Whatever this was….
