CHAPTER 31: MOLLY’S DILEMMA

Watching as Hartley left in anger, Molly knew that it was foolish for her to stop her. She couldn’t convince everyone to like Elektra. She was the one who pursued Elektra first and she understood the other at least well.

Molly decided to follow Elektra as she was curious about what the other was buying inside. Inside the boutique, Elektra was busy looking at the little outfits with interest in her eyes.

With the help of the assistant, Elektra managed to pick five different lingerie’s before Molly and Faith joined her. Molly wasn’t a saint and she had her own share of relationships so she didn’t need to be told the reason why Elektra was buying this.

“Can you actually wear this?” Faith who was more reserved than the others asked as she looked closely at the lingerie in the shop.

Elektra chuckled as she looked at Faith with amusement in her eyes, “all you need is guts if you want to wear something like this.”

Molly nodded her head as Elektra’s words hit the nail squarely on the head, “that is true, if you are not courageous enough and feel confident about yourself then it will be impossible to put one on.”

“My words exactly, do you guys want some?” Elektra was in a good mood and she didn’t mind buying some for her friends.

Faith immediately shook her head as there was no way that she was going to wear a piece of clothing that was all ropes with less covering on.

Molly also shook her head as she didn’t want to wear this type of lingerie yet, it was simply too much for her, “I will pass.”

Since the girls had refused her sincere offer, she paid off for her purchase and walked out of the store with her bag full of sexy lingerie.

“So, girl, are you not going to spill the beans?” Molly asked as the girls walked towards a restaurant they had picked for their lunch.

“What beans?” Elektra asked as if she didn’t understand Molly at all.

Faith seeing this exchange couldn’t stop herself from giggling, this was simply hilarious, “Elle, we are just curious about the lucky man you will be dressing up for!”

Faith was someone who hated beating around the bush so she just spoke her mind every single time. Elektra liked Faith for that so she didn’t hate talking to her at all unlike Hartley, the little girl that reminded her of her past self.

“Someone dear to my heart, his isn’t my sugar daddy but my lifelong partner. I will let you guys meet him on my birthday,” Elektra had a smile on her face as she told her friends.

She knew that her husband’s identity was too high prolific and if her friends were to know about him that soon, won't her life be void of peace from now on?

She trusted Molly as Molly had never shown her any hostile side or shown any malicious intentions towards her. faith was a complicated person who reminded her of Pearle and those kinds of people were capable of killing you unaware.

As for Hartley, she was her previous self, full of herself and very selfish to the core and it was a pain in the a** to have someone like that as a friend. When it comes to benefits, people could change drastically and she didn’t want that.

She could do without friends as her friends were people who could ditch you anytime as long as you are in trouble. In her first life when her life was at the lowest, those girls she had practically raised all deserted her in a hurtful way.

If someone had stood by her side back then, and given her a helping hand then her life would have been a bit better but it was already too late to regret or reminisce about the past. Wasn’t she just doing right now?

Molly sighed sensing how unwilling Elektra was to tell them about her man. She has her own suspicions but she wanted to receive a confirmation from Elektra first before she does anything.

But now that she wouldn’t know until the birthday party, it was better for her to go and have a talk with someone who could know more about this and see which steps to take in the future.

The girls went to the restaurant and had a great lunch. No one talked about Hartley as that would ruin the harmonious atmosphere.

When Molly arrived home later that evening, she went to look for her elder sister-in-law who was at home. Because she had just had a child, she didn’t go out much and Molly’s sister-in-law was more of a housewife than a working wife.

However, she had been in society for a long and knows a lot, so Molly knew that she can trust her and get the answers that she seeks.

So, when Helian saw Molly, she was happy to see the other. Molly was a good sister-in-law and there was no hatred between the two of them so they co-existed perfectly.

“What’s eating you?” Helian asked as soon as she saw that Molly was looking too good.

“Sister-in-law, do you know anything about the top eight families?” Molly asked curiously.

Helian didn’t know what Molly wanted the information but she wasn’t going to be stingy with it so she answered, “yes, I know a bit. Is there anything you want to know about?”

“Do you know which family among the top eight moves around in cars like this ………………….?” Molly asked as she explained herself.

Helian was struck when she heard this question. As someone who used to mingle and was friends with some ladies belonging to the upper families, she had a slight idea on which family that owns that kind of car.

To everyone, the cars were simply cheap and not worth it but only the upper classes knew how expensive and tightly secured those cars were. And only the top eight families in Vrak were capable of that but each family was different and the car that Molly described pointed to one family or let’s say, one person.

“Where did you see that car?” Helian was now serious as she truly prayed that Molly didn’t offend the owner of that car.

“When I was at school, a car like that dropped a girl at our school and I was just curious. Do you know who owns it?” Molly was excited hearing Helian’s tone as this meant that Helian knew who owns the car.

Was she getting close to finding the answer she had been searching for?
