CHAPTER 83: NIGHTMARE 3
Kasper lost his appetite the very second, he heard about the betrayal, he hated those kinds of people the most.
For some quick cash, the lawyer who had promised and gave the young girl hope and trust that he was going to do everything in his own power to make sure that justice is served, betrayed her.
Cleo who had managed to do something for her mother and tried to be a good child that doesn’t only cause trouble, ended up dying, failing her mother, and couldn’t manage to do that one thing for her.
Kasper was even hurt just thinking that Hope died without even knowing that her daughter had not only been taking drugs but she had been trying her best to seek justice for her.
Hope must have died with frustrations and now there was no way that Elektra could face her and tell her the truth.
If it was him who had suffered this kind of injustice, Kasper would have made Robert, Pearl, and everyone else involved taken care of. Of course, this was going to wait until he tortures them first and let them feel what it was like having everything that you love including your life being stripped away from them.
“And what was in the diary? I want to hear the truth from you, otherwise, things may start getting interesting in this room!” Kasper coldly demanded with gritted teeth.
He couldn’t look at Elektra as he was afraid that what he will see will make him go crazy and what he will do to Ian and his family will be very gruesome.
Ian shivered with fear, his back filled cold sweat after being glared at by Kasper.
Ian was very embarrassed to actually say this with his own mouth. He had doubted Hope for so many years, even when he had threatened her so many times, Hope had refused to tell him the truth of what really happened back then.
It was as if she wanted to torture him endlessly, make him have a day like this when he will regret and have her imprinted in his mind until the day, he leaves this world.
Yes, Hope finally managed to do exactly that and the feeling made him feel very complicated, he didn’t want to dwell with it.
“Hope didn’t kill my wife, someone else did and even Hope didn’t have an idea of who the person was. Robert told me that in her diary, Hope had written that she met with my wife in the hopes that she will make her jealous and let her leave me.
This way Hope will have me smoothly, they have quarreled but it never got physical. Hope tended to record the time whenever she writes her diary, and the time for that diary entry proved that.
She didn’t hear about the murder until a week after and at that time she was out of the country on a business trip, a trip that she had gone to the same day that my wife died.
My wife’s death was at one in the afternoon, Hope last saw my wife around ten in the morning. In conclusion, Hope didn’t have any part in her death and she was accused wrongly. And I am very sorry for that.
I can’t change anything about what happened years ago but I do hope that you will find it in your heart to forgive me and my family for everything that had happened. If there is a next life, I will use it to serve Hope and give her the justice that she deserves,” Ian was feeling very regretful as he said this.
He had never expected that the truth will be this shocking. Surely if Cleo had managed to get this diary submitted to the court, Hope might have had a chance of getting out.
If she was a bit unlucky, her sentence might have been reduced and no one would have died, but because of Robert’s selfishness, his undying love for Pearl, his hatred for Hope and Cleo was so huge, he didn’t let anything destroy this.
Kasper’s fists at this moment were clenched, his veins were bulging and almost popping. This scary scene was in the eyes of both Elektra and Ian, Elektra had not said a word after Ian started talking.
Elektra’s main purpose to let Ian tell something that she knows was to let Kasper hear her story from someone else’s mouth other than hers. She also wanted to make sure that her memories weren’t failing her.
Because she had lived, died, lived, and died repeatedly, her mind may be a bit jumbled. What she may think to be facts maybe just some illusion she created to make herself feel better.
But hearing that the truth was even more shocking than what she remembered and thoughts, she couldn’t help but clench her own fists, her eyes gloomy and a storm was already brewing deep in her heart.
Elektra wasn’t a stable person; she had spent over five years in her current life to calm herself down and keep the monster in her hidden. She didn’t want to fully reveal the kind of monster she can be when provoked.
And yet hearing how wronged she was back in her first life, made her want to strangle, kill and skin someone. Elektra was fighting with herself and in that short moment, her eyes had turned many shades of silver, black and red.
The sight itself made Kasper who was angry at Ian and wanted to kick the man multiple times to give his wife justice become worried all of a sudden. Ian was scared shitless and running away was only going to make things worse.
Elektra finally couldn’t hold herself and screamed out loud, “Ahhhhhhhh!”
It was deafening, the scream attracted the attention of the guards outside but without their Masters’ permission, they couldn’t enter the room.
Those that were in the neighboring rooms couldn’t help but become curious, they rushed out of their rooms to see what was going and the bodyguards were forced to work to chase away these curious people away.
Inside the private room, Ian was shaking with fear and Kasper was holding Elektra while glaring angrily at Ian. If this man hasn’t provoked his wife, would she be breaking out like this?
Elektra at this point was seeing red, she wanted to hit something. She was feeling overpowered but the second that Kasper pulled her into his arms even though he could get harmed, her senses returned.
Sensing that familiar energy around her, she began to calm down, those red eyes began to go back to normal, and finally, her eyes landed on Ian and her smile was very cold sending chills to the man.
