CHAPTER 90: PUNISHMENT
While Elektra was having fun with her family, on Ian’s side it wasn’t pleasant at all.
When he arrived at Robert’s house, he was very shocked when he saw the broken vases on the floor. The servants were trembling in fear as Robert was running amok on the innocent doctors he had gotten from somewhere.
Ian didn’t blame Robert for his erratic behavior, if it was him facing this problem, he was even going to act worse than Robert.
“There is nothing that we can do about the Young Madam’s illness, this is completely out of our scope!” the hard-headed doctor simply told the truth.
He was someone who didn’t fear any man, his passion for medicine was over the top. He was very interested in all sorts of illnesses but for the first time, he was defeated.
He knows that being strong-headed wasn’t going to help him at all. If it was some other illness, he would have tried his best to research about it but this didn’t look like any normal illness he had seen or heard about.
He was someone who had come across some famous alchemists, people who were part of the martial arts world and these people were very special. They were so capable of treating a lot of crazy illnesses and he had learnt a few things from him.
He didn’t have their prowess or ability but he was someone who loves studying and he kept on improving daily, but he was also someone who would not force himself when faced with something that he didn’t know.
If he were to lie and tell the family member that he could treat the other when he doesn’t know how to do it and then something wrong will happen, he didn’t want anything like that to happen.
Which is the reason why he didn’t even feel scared when he told Robert about his conclusion.
“So, what should be done now? I can’t let her suffer in pain like this!” Robert gritted his teeth as he asked this.
He was trying his best to calm down, his veins were popping on his forehead and anyone could tell that Robert was doing his best to cool down but his anger was visible to all.
His fists were clenched and he looked as if he was ready to go to battle. The doctor looked at Robert and he felt pity for the other. It was very unfortunate that this young couple was inflicted with such a horrible illness that couldn’t be diagnosed.
“There is something that you can do but it will cost you,” the doctor decided to show mercy and help the couple.
After all, it won’t be him spending his money but Robert. Robert and Ian’s hope was ignited when they heard that.
Ian didn’t wait for Robert to open his mouth and he did that first, “what is it? We can do anything!”
The doctor knew that Ian was Robert’s father-in-law, even though no introductions had been done as Robert was still in the middle of causing a fit. So, he didn’t mind telling Ian about his suggestion.
“I know some doctor, but he is very special. He can help you but that will cost you. Do you want his contact?” the doctor explained with a straight face.
In his heart he couldn’t help but feel sorry for this family, that doctor he was referring them to was very weird but he could get things done, so he decided to ignore the weird part.
“As long as I can get my wife healed, I can pay any price!” Robert’s answer was very resolute and firm and the doctor loved people who are decisive like this.
The doctor smiled as he nodded his head and said, “I will contact him and get back to you. He charges very high for a consultation and it is not included in the fees you have to pay if he heals your afflictions.”
“It doesn’t matter, just talk to him, and the sooner the better!” Robert firmly spoke as he looked at the doctor.
With that decided, the doctor didn’t delay and took out his phone and sent several messages. Everyone was very anxious but things couldn’t be rushed, luckily, they didn’t need to wait for long as the doctor received a response.
“You are in great luck; the doctor is just one city away and he will be here tomorrow morning. So, you don’t have anything to fear, just sit down and relax,” the doctor softly said as he didn’t want these people to worry much.
Robert and Ian felt much better after hearing that and their moods also improved greatly. The shivering servants also felt the pressure pressing them down being shifted and they felt as if they could now walk freely and be at ease.
The doctor didn’t stay there for long he left the villa with a smile as he had received a fat red envelope for his hard work.
However, on the way back, he couldn’t help but exalt the person who caused all of these problems. That person was simply a genius and he wondered whether that doctor will manage to treat this illness.
With the doctor gone, Ian was able to finally sit down with Robert and talk to him about what Elektra and Kasper had instructed.
Robert immediately flared up angrily after hearing that, “how dare she?”
Ian could only shake his head seeing how Robert was acting, so before this son-in-law does something crazy, he decided to make him calm down and give him a warning. He didn’t want to make things crazier than they were already.
“No matter how angry you are, you must never mess with those people, especially the lady. She is one of those martial artists, probably a Grandmaster and we can’t afford to provoke her as well as the man!” Robert warned resolutely and, in his tone, one could hear that Ian only had fear towards the two.
Robert didn’t expect that Ian will show his fear towards these couples and seeing this Robert knew that things weren’t that easy. He also didn’t want to make things worse but he couldn’t be blamed, he was just worried.
“I will not do anything that brings harm to my family, I will make sure of that!” Robert was also not a fool to provoke people he shouldn’t.
He was going to take one step at a time.
