CHAPTER 60: OFFICIAL MEETING 3

Kasper looked at the little girl who was talking with affection in her tone, her love was flowing and this wasn’t seen with him alone but also Aaliyah who didn’t want to accept this daughter-in-law.

Every mother was like that and it wasn’t easy to accept daughter-in-law, especially those that came in through the way Elektra did. If she had not seen the affection that was missing before when she met the other, she would have thought that Elektra was doing this to get back to Kasper for what he did to her.

But now, she could tell that a lot had changed since then and this made her feel relieved.

Celia realized that the conversation she had started was going astray and, in the end, she swiftly changed the topic. Before they ate their dinner, Kasper introduced his family once again to Elektra and Elektra was respectful towards them.

After a chit-chat, the group finally went to the dining room where a hot meal was waiting for them.

The table was big enough to accommodate everyone so the whole family sat at the table and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

After the meal, Elektra sat with the sisters-in-law and began to talk about life which was mostly them asking her about her life and so on. Since these people were capable of finding out by themselves, she answered as honestly as she could and also lied with a straight face.

While the ladies were talking, the men were also having a small chat. Kennedy was away when Kasper married but he still knew everything that was happening. As a father and a man, he wanted his children to find people they could live with forever.

He wanted them to find people they love the way he did with his wife Aaliyah. Aaliyah was domineering and the kind of woman most guys would run away from but to him, she was perfect in every way.

Maybe it was because he truly loves her and she loves him in return. He wished for that for his family and seeing Kasper tonight with his little wife, he didn’t have any more worries.

However, he had one problem and that nagging feeling was something that he wished to discuss with Kasper.

“Is everything okay with you and her?” Kennedy asked as he looked at Kasper worriedly.

If it was before Kasper would have agreed but now with everything or almost everything in the light, he felt very great, “umm, everything is now better.”

Kennedy saw the smile on Kasper’s face and he knew that there wasn’t much to worry about but that feeling was still there so he decided to give his son a heads up as people in love tend to be ignorant most of the time.

“That girl is a bit strange and I don’t want anything to happen to you. Just keep your heads up and be careful,” Kennedy genuinely warned his son.

Kasper’s eyes were cold for a moment before returning back to normal. As someone who knew Elektra at least a good percentage, he understood what his father was talking about.

“Dad, she is very special but don’t fret, she will never do anything to harm me or the family as long as we are good with her,” Kasper decided to let his dad know and give him some warning.

Kennedy as someone who had seen a lot of things and was currently the Patriarch of the clan understood the meaning behind his son’s words. He didn’t show it but his interest in the little girl was rising.

The father and son talked for more minutes before Kasper left and joined his brothers for a drink. As men and brothers, the groups teased each other until their curiosity of what the ladies were doing caught up to them.

On the girls’ side, Elektra was currently with a red face as Aaliyah the mother-in-law was busy lecturing her about marriage. Since the young girl was already her daughter in law who was also an orphan, she decided to give the young girl a helping hand.

As a mother, she also wanted to hold a few grandchildren and it was her duty to see this happening. Katrina and Mitchel who had suffered this back then when they were about to get married couldn’t help but lit a candle for Elektra.

Even though the conversation was a bit too much for Elektra who feared most nothing, she listened attentively as Aaliyah’s words were full of wisdom and she didn’t want to miss that.

Besides she missed having a mother around and having Aaliyah accepting her without throwing an envelope or splashing water on her face, she took Aaliyah seriously and decided to treat the other like her mother.

Sitting with Aaliyah and the sisters-in-law reminded her of Hope, it has been too long since she visited the graves. It was probably time for her to go back to Bares city, she would at most run into those people again but there was no way she was going to stop it. They were going to meet sooner or later anyway.

It was around eleven that Kasper finally couldn’t take it and came to pick his wife from his female family members. The ladies were into their topic that they grilled the men who hung their heads low and face the wrath for a few minutes.

In the end, Elektra the enthusiastic student assured her mother-in-law that tomorrow they will sit down and talk more. Aaliyah who finally found someone willing to listen to her unlike her grown-up daughters who dreaded her lectures was in a good mood after hearing that.

Kasper knew his mother well so he also assured her before taking his beloved wife away. Elektra didn’t go straight to the bedroom to sleep but went to see Anisha first, the little girl was sleeping so she kissed the little girl on the face and covered her with the sheets.

When she was done, she followed Kasper to the bedroom that Kasper used when he grew up for the first time. There wasn’t enough time to get a tour of the room as she was quickly dragged to the bathroom to get a warm shower which turned into something else after that.

It was around one in the morning when the couple finally went to sleep cuddling each other very affectionately. It was quite a beautiful scene, and Elektra who slept in Kasper’s arms was worry-free and she looked more like a goddess.
