CHAPTER 82: NIGHTMARE 2

“You don’t have to do everything to save me. This time I will save you, we will be in this together. What should we do?” Pearl finally decided to take her man’s side with conviction.

Robert was shocked when he heard this, he wasn’t expecting to see Pearl going through such a 360-degree turn like that. He thought that she will at least forgive him reluctantly before willing to talk to him.

So, hearing her pledging her all to him at a moment like this, made him feel so much warmth, he couldn’t help but drop a kiss on her forehead.

“I will not let any harm fall on you, just leave everything to me. Just let me handle everything, trust me!” even though it was very sweet of her to pledge herself like this, Robert wasn’t willing to put her in danger.

He will shoulder everything himself and let her and the children live in peace without any scruples or stress.

The two didn’t sleep that night as insomnia took over them, they both carried different thoughts and it was the same for Ian.

He had seen the attitude of that young couple and after everything that he heard from Robert, he knew that things were not going to go well and the possible outcome was unknown.

He didn’t sleep that night but sat in the study as he looked at the photos of the two women he had failed and wronged in his life.

When dawn broke, Ian washed himself to chase away the tiredness. When he was feeling fresh, he got into the car, he didn’t even have the appetite to have breakfast.

He just hoped that they will hear him out and make things less difficult. Elektra woke up with all of her limbs hooked around Kasper, the scene was simply dazzling but Elektra who was now getting used to sleeping in this posture whenever they were not intimate, didn’t find anything wrong.

She simply removed her limps from Kasper’s body and slipped away from the bed to have a bath. Kasper was already awake but he pretended to be sleeping. He couldn’t sleep last night after she jumped down.

He waited anxiously receiving reports from his men, he only was at peace when she returned the same way she left and stuck on him like an octopus. He knew that asking questions now will be useless.

Even though he was curious, he still wanted to wait for her until she tells him what really happened and what is currently happening.

Elektra took a shower and when she came out wearing a robe, Kasper was also out of the bed. She walked towards him and he embraced her in an affectionate hug before planting a kiss on her forehead.

“Go and take a shower, we may be receiving visitors any time soon!” she chased him away and he smiled wryly at her before heading for the bathroom.

By the time Ian arrived and sought to meet Elektra and Kasper, the young couple was currently in a private room having breakfast and being all lovey-dovey. As for Anisha, she was currently with Miley as the couple didn’t want their child when the visitors arrive.

So, Ian was welcomed by the wave of PDA when he was escorted inside the private room where the two were dining.

“Hello, we meet again!” Ian helplessly said as he looked at the couple that wasn’t putting him in their eyes.

Elektra looked at the man before motioning with her head that he should sit down, she didn’t want to waste her saliva on him. Ian even though he felt as if he was being disrespected and the little girl was being rude, he sat down with a humble expression on his face.

“Mr. Ian, I am not in the mood to hear excuses today, so I would like to hear from you what really happened that night and if there is any discrepancy and lies, the consequences will be very dire and you wouldn’t want that!” Elektra didn’t even bother with responding to Ian and threw instantly a threat.

Ian shuddered as he recalled the crazy things he saw yesterday. This young woman was very capable of doing crazy things and with just an act, she was capable of ending many lives.

Since the young lady didn’t want to be toyed with and wanted the truth then he was going to narrate as it is the way that Robert told him. He just hoped that she will accept it.

He wanted to save his daughter, his family, and his company. He didn’t want to lose the only things that he has left.

Kasper was also curious, he didn’t know why Elektra who already knew everything that happened that night wanted to hear about it again but when he recalled how she never told him what really happened on the day of her death, he glared at Ian with eyes that urged the old man to narrate his story as quickly as possible.

Facing such a glare from a Murray, Ian didn’t know what crimes he committed to actually face such an exceptional man like him. Ian had his men investigate Kasper and the results were so shocking he regretted his earlier behavior.

He just hoped that the young man will show him mercy. Seeing the way that Kasper treats Elektra, he knew that whatever the lady says he will go along with it.

So, his only method to ensure his family’s survival was to make this lady happy otherwise the consequences just like she said will be very dire.

“Robert told me that on that night, he sent some gangsters to pursue Cleo who happened to have Hope’s diary. The news about the diary was exposed by the lawyer who had taken Cleo’s case, the lawyer needed some urgent money and he sold this information for some quick cash.

Cleo knew nothing of this but she had always been a clever girl so when she sensed that things were a bit fishy and that she was being followed, she drove and ran for her life.

However, no one expected that Cleo would get into an accident. It wasn’t meant to happen at all, what they needed was to get the diary and threaten her to keep her mouth shut but everything became useless when the car turned over and she was gone,” Ian also couldn’t believe it when he heard it.

It was simply ridiculous!
