CHAPTER 58: OFFICIAL MEETING

The weekend outing was half a success and half a failure as when Monday came, Elektra only had Hartley by her side. As for Molly and Faith, those two were just a waste of saliva and Elektra didn’t want to think about it.

With her return, Anisha who had been with her grandma returned home and she stuck by Elektra’s side more. As a new mother Elektra enjoyed every second of having a daughter as soon after a few years, Anisha will be too shy to act like this.

Elektra also started a new story which was the continuation of, ‘HER OBSESSION’ and the listeners and viewers couldn’t say a thing as their host was someone who only narrates a story that she likes and doesn’t listen to anyone.

As the ending of the last story left them very unsatisfied, they were all curious to find out what really happened but it was after the first day that they discovered that the continuation was about the daughter of Hope who wasn’t fully covered in the first story.

As they had too many questions that were left unanswered in the previous story, they all decided to listen and not miss a single word.

Elektra when she didn’t have morning lectures to attend, she would send Anisha to school and entertain the schoolmates for a while before going to her own school.

When she was out of school, she would use that time to read other books, do a live stream and make love with her husband whenever they have a chance. She was getting dependent on Kasper and this to her was a bit dangerous, she didn’t want to do it and yet at the same time, she wanted to rely on someone too.

On some other nights like usual, she would meditate to upgrade herself as she can feel only safer when she was stronger than the way she is at the moment.
Elektra was living a carefree life until Thursday when Kasper informed her that Aaliyah had invited them for dinner the next day. It has been a very long time since Elektra saw her mother-in-law.

Last time she had left the woman with a positive impression and she hoped that it didn’t dwindle after not communicating with each other for a while. Elektra didn’t know how to get along with the old woman as Aaliyah was a bit cold and this made Elektra forget that she has a mother-in-law most of the time.

So, Kasper giving her this news made her remember, and now she only has less than a day to think of a plan to deceive the woman and have her not lash out at her when she sees her.

When Kasper was sleeping soundly, Elektra waved her hand and left the bedroom. She shrouded herself in darkness and safely walked out of the villa without being detected.

Elektra walked for like an hour as her head was busy thinking of ways to please her mother-in-law. It was simply too difficult and Elektra was going crazy. She couldn’t ask Aunt Miley as Miley was raised as an assassin and she didn’t have any in-laws to please.

She didn’t want to ask her ‘children’ as they will ask her a lot of questions. In the end, Elektra rummaged through the boxes in her dimensional space and found something beautiful hiding in a small box.

Satisfied with this unexpected gift, Elektra made her way back into the house and put the small box into the closet before joining Kasper to bed. She removed the mist covering Kasper and dosed off.

The following day, Elektra acted like normal, she sent Anisha to school before driving herself to school. The semester was about to come to an end and the exams were just days away.

The day went well and Elektra still couldn’t shake the dreadful feeling of meeting Aaliyah again. In her second life, she was something that human beings feared with everything they had and it is something that she still carries until this day, it’s just that after many years of practicing she learnt how to mask and curb the monster inside her.

Hartley saw that Elektra wasn’t in her right mind and as a genuine and concerned friend, she asked what the problem was and when she finally heard the issue, she couldn’t help but look at Elektra with a worshiping gaze.

Who didn’t fear that Aaliyah Murray? She was an Amazon warrior and everyone that had crossed swords with her before failed miserably.

The two girls exchanged ideas and searched on IONIQ on ways to please in-laws and they found several useful information. On this Friday, the two girls skipped the afternoon self-study and visited the mall.

They spent two hours shopping and finally went their separate ways. Elektra wasn’t in charge of picking Anisha up from school as the driver will do that. So, she drove straight home where she spent the next one hour, polishing up and getting ready to go to the old mansion.

Anisha returned home happily as she couldn’t wait to see her grandma with her mother. She was going to flaunt her beautiful mother to everyone and she was going to see who will mock her in the future and call her a motherless child!

Elektra had no idea what the little girl was thinking when she was busy searching for some clothes for Anisha to wear. In the end, Anisha decided on a dress similar to the one that she was wearing.

When Kasper returned from work, he was welcomed by his wife and daughter wearing matching clothes. They looked so beautiful he couldn’t help himself but take a few photos of them before going to change.

The family of three left in a black car and headed straight for the old mansion. The old mansion wasn’t that far so in thirty minutes the three reached the mansion and the servants were already waiting for them.

Aaliyah was very anxious; she had been procrastinating to see this daughter-in-law as every time she would think of how that little girl charmed her son and made him a fool of a man he became.

Of course, she was happy to see that her cold son finally became warm and more humane, and it was all thanks to Elektra but she didn’t want to admit it. After seeing how happy Anisha and Kasper were, she decided to stop being difficult and sit down and talk to Elektra.

She had talked with her husband who reprimanded her lightly as he couldn’t afford to be harsh on her. Even her in-laws had accepted everything, so if she really harden her heart, then the results won’t be satisfactory.

It was time for all of them to sit down and have that talk they have been putting off for a long time.
