CHAPTER 74: R.I.P

Elektra was feeling very emotional and her head was all over the place. This place wasn’t a great place to be but she had been in many places like this before.

The last time she visited her mother and her grave was around three years ago if she wasn’t mistaken. She wasn’t someone who enjoyed visiting her own grave and being reminded that in this world she was considered dead and gone.

Elektra arrived with Kasper as they held hands while Kasper hold a bouquet of flowers.

Kasper looked very seriously at the two graves side by side and his emotions became mixed up. He held her hand so tightly and Elektra turned her head to look at him with a faint smile on her face.

“Hubby, meet my mother, Hope. She is the greatest mother that I can ask for in any life,” Elektra spoke with pride as she looked at the cheerful smile on her mother’s face.

Elektra began to recall that smile her mother always had on her face. How she looked so beautiful, so charming and just someone she wanted to look at daily. It was quite a pity that she wasn’t able to see that anymore.

Kasper looked at the smiling woman on the tombstone and smiled sincerely at Elektra before looking back at the picture, “Hello mother, I am here to see you with Cleo. May you rest in peace for I will take care of her from now on and make sure that nothing happens to her. she had grown up to become a beautiful lady and many people love her. She ……………………”

Elektra listened as Kasper poured his heart in front of her and she felt very warm. Elektra couldn’t help but look at her mother’s tombstone again and couldn’t help but silently pray for her, something she had not done in a long time.

‘If there are really gods up there or deities, may you look out for my mother! She is not an evil person but a woman who only wants some love. If there is a next life, please help her reincarnate into a good family. May she find love and live a life that is worry-free. I am living happily now and, on her behalf, I will get the answers we couldn’t get before. This is only that I ask from you.’

Finally, Kasper finished his confession to her mother and Elektra felt happy being with the man. This man really loves her and wanted her for who she is. He had never forsaken her, looked down on her, or looked at her as if she was insane or not normal.

“I will live happily with my new family and bring you justice. If you are wandering around, then rest in peace now mother!” Elektra vowed as she caressed the tombstone.

Kasper didn’t say a single word and let Elektra do what she wanted. When they were done with the confessions, they placed the flowers and the sacrificial food they brought.

“Tell me what your mother was like?” Kasper asked as he looked at Elektra with curiosity.

Elektra looked at Kasper and her eyes were very clear and didn’t show any surprise or anything. To her, Hope was a very good woman, a loving mother, and someone who truly cared for her.

Her way of doing things might have been seen as wrong by other people but weren’t all parents the same to their children?

“Umm, I will tell you all about her!” Elektra was actually happy to have someone who was willing to hear her story.

Her story was now known by many people as she narrated her stories to the viewers but they all didn’t know that this was her real life, narrated in her own point of view as she couldn’t possibly know what the others thought.

Elektra as she was happy, she began to talk about her mother and she was all smiling. Even though her face was hidden, Kasper could hear her happiness in her voice and her eyes said it all.

The two talked for more than an hour before Kasper decided that it was time for them to go. The sun was high up and he didn’t want to keep her in the sun.

Elektra also agreed with this and she stood up, dusted herself, and followed Kasper to the road. Elektra didn’t even for a single moment thought of absorbing all the energy around her. It was very helpful to her but she didn’t want to scare her husband away after exposing what she was capable of.

The couple walked slowly and observed the bereaving families along the way. Losing someone wasn’t easy and that loss will always be part of you and it doesn’t leave, that feeling itself was simply horrifying.

“If you were given a chance to live at least a bit longer than normal, will you accept that?” from nowhere, Elektra suddenly dropped the question and this took Kasper by surprise.

If he were to be asked if he ever thought about it, he would say yes. He didn’t want to lose the people he loves and if he were to become even a demon just so that he can be with the people he loves, how was willing.

“Ummm, I will do anything just to be with you and my family for an extra second,” Kasper answered and he was very sincere about that.

Elektra really loved this answer and she held his hand tighter, “that is good then. I also want to live with you for eternity. Let’s strive for this!”

Kasper wouldn’t have believed in strange things or the supernatural before but now after knowing that the girl he picked, brought home, and married was someone who had lived multiple lives, he believes in anything right now and nothing can stop him.

And for his family, he was even willing to take a step further and do everything in his power to not lose what he has right now.

As the lovebirds joked and talked with each other on their way back to the car park, they didn’t know that as soon as they left, around five minutes a man also visited the same graves.

The shock he had on his face as he looked at the fresh flowers and food was simply too great but it was too bad that he wasn’t going to find out who was there.
