CHAPTER 77: CONFRONTATION 2

“For a man who can abandon his first love for an excuse of family arrangement, break someone else heart and then uses an excuse of being in love with the same person he abandoned and cheats his wife behind her back, what right do you have to raise your voice against us?”

If Ian was standing, he would have staggered and fallen to the ground straight. How could he not know that the scumbag being talked about was him?

He had done this when he was young and eventually, he broke not only his first wife’s heart but Hope as well.

“You…..you, how do you….?”

“Does it even matter how we know about that? Ian, the mother, and the daughter were bad that is a fact but they didn’t deserve to die the way they did. Have you ever wondered if Hope was truly the murderer of your first wife?

Did she ever confess sincerely that she did it? Even if she were jealous and hated the other woman, do you think that Hope could shed blood with her own hands?” Elektra angrily questioned Ian.

All the emotions she had hidden all these years under the façade that she was strong and that emotions were useless to her, all of them broke out. It truly hurt and made her heartache, especially to her who had died before she could prove her mother’s innocence. Hope wasn’t good but she wasn’t a murderer and the proof she had before those people killed her to silence her.

“You…. just who are you?” Ian asked in a shaky voice.

At this stage, he now understood that things weren’t that simple and these people knew more than what they were letting on.

“I am your family’s worst nightmare! Did you investigate what I asked you to do? Did you find the answers and still decided to hide the truth and save your baby girl? Ian, you are truly a selfish person! One day you are going to suffer and receive your karma!” Elektra roared out as her eyes were red with anger.

Kasper who was sitting by the side was now quiet, he was truly angry seeing his wife like this but at the same time, he understands that he had to let her vent out her anger otherwise she will always bottle it and that wasn’t good.

Elektra was no longer in the mood to talk or listen to Ian, the man was showing a shocked expression and it was evident that he was digesting what he had just heard.

Elektra stood up on her feet and without looking at Kasper she headed for the door. Kasper also followed suit but before he left the room he gave Ian a cold gaze, “if you and your family don’t give my wife answers, I will make you remember that I Kasper Murray I am someone who shouldn’t be trifled with!”

Ian who had been finding it hard to digest the truth in front of him received another threat and he quickly woke up. He wanted to stop the couple from leaving but when he saw with his own eyes how the chair that Elektra was sitting on was just disintegrating on its own as if someone poured acid on it, he broke into a cold sweat.

He stood up from his chair and circled the table until he was looking at the chair that was disappearing at a speed so scary, he didn’t know how to take it.

The chair had a handprint on it, it was so deep and he could imagine the force that had been used to make all that happen. He checked the table and found out that the two were currently suffering the same effect and Ian’s knees buckled.

‘Did I just mess up with the wrong people?’ he asked himself weakly.

Ian was old but he wasn’t muddleheaded, he had heard several rumors about the impossible and it seems that he had somehow angered the impossible. Ian called his men inside and they witnessed the strange scene.

“Master, what should we do with them?” the chief guard asked worriedly.
His job was to protect Ian and not let any harm fall on him and these two were very dangerous.

“Don’t follow them. I need you to look into any family with the last name Murray. I want to know everything about them first and at the same time, look into my first wife’s death again,” Ian weakly gave the instructions as answers were something that he desperately needed at this stage.

“I will get right to it.”

“Also, I don’t want anything that has happened in this room to leak. Get someone to replace the furniture!”

Ian made his orders and weakly left the restaurant under the protection of his men. The chief guard was breaking in a cold sweat as he remembered how he nearly lost his life a while ago when he tried to politely stop Elektra from leaving.

He was someone who had seen a lot of blood, at some point he was in the military and killing was very normal there and yet this young and unknown woman carried the aura of an Asura, and the cold and chilling gaze she gave him, made him remember her for the rest of his life.

While Kasper was being stressed, Kasper held Elektra’s hand and didn’t say a word as he drove back to the hotel. When they arrived, Elektra had calmed down but the second she saw Anisha, her mood greatly improved.

Kasper was relieved when he saw this. He didn’t disturb the two ladies from playing and went to the bathroom where he washed his face recalling the scary scene he saw back at the restaurant.

As he was seated next to Elektra, he had felt that chill and couldn’t help but look down. At that moment Elektra was venting her anger at Ian and Kasper saw a black mist hovering around her hand and it was eating away the chair and the table.

When she left the room, he had also looked at the table and chair and saw that it didn’t stop but it was still ongoing. He couldn’t do anything to shut anyone up but he could use his name to threaten the man and let him not utter a single thing of what happened that morning.

He didn’t know what Elektra was capable of but being able to possess such a scary ability, must have not been easy. His heartache for her and he wondered what she went through for her to become someone like this.

How he hopes that she can open up to him, let him share her burdens and worries?

He wanted to be able to do that for her.
