CHAPTER 92: KOWTOWING

“I am here to laugh at your misery but at the same time, there isn’t much that I can gain from it. I don’t like having someone stand in front of me, so find a seat and get yourself seated before we have a heart-to-heart talk,” Elektra instructed as if she was the owner of the house.

Robert didn’t want to listen to her but when he thought of how this young lady was holding his life and Pearl’s, he decided to be a good boy and follow
instructions.

He looked briefly at the masked men and his body trembled with fear.
Robert took a seat and waited for Elektra to talk, because he was afraid of offending the other, Robert decided to not say a single word.

“It’s good to see that you are well behaved. At first, I wanted to expose your ugly deeds to the world and felt everyone point fingers at you, condemn you, and make you feel what it is like to have people treat you the way Hope and Cleo were treated,” Elektra angrily spat the words as she looked at Robert whose neck had shrunk from all the suppression.

Ian looked at the angry veiled lady and something about this person made him wonder why she was doing all of this. What was exactly her main purpose to dig into something that didn’t concern her and also happened years ago?

“But after thinking about it, I realized that the effect won’t be that much. The people who were supposed to see how you guys suffer are no longer here and won’t be able to see this. It truly pains me a lot that for your own selfishness, you guys didn’t hesitate but committed such atrocities.

I am not a saint myself, so I can understand you a bit and this is the reason why I will not make things very difficult for you. Since you were very obedient and didn’t try to cause more damage, didn’t try to send someone to kill me or my man, my image of you is improving slightly.

If you have acted like hooligans, you wouldn’t know how you even died, and wouldn’t that be a pity?” she smirked as she threw painful remarks at the men in the room.

Ian lowered his head as he couldn’t refute a single word while Robert didn’t know how to feel. He didn’t think that this mighty lady would let things go like this, he felt that things weren’t this simple but he was afraid to see what it was.

“I am a vengeful person which is why when I heard of how you got rid of Cleo and Hope, all I wanted to do was to send you to the eighteen levels of hell and make you go through that torture but at the same time, I was also moved by how truthful you are.

Some people will try to evade responsibility but you didn’t and for that, your sins were slightly reduced. I am not here to make things difficult for you but I am here with a solution. Are you interested in getting rid of this grudge once and for all?” her offer sounded very enticing that both men looked at her with shock in their eyes.

Elektra didn’t rush them but steadily sat there as she monitored the men and waited for them to respond. Ian looked at Robert who also looked at him. His eyes were questioning him and the questions were not that difficult to discover.

Ian was willing to pay any price to get rid of this lady and her companions and Robert was also the same.

So, for the first time ever since Elektra appeared in the house, Robert spoke, “as long as this ends, I am willing to do anything.”

Hearing that firm and resolute answer, Elektra smiled, “that’s very good then.

What I want from you is actually very simple. I want you three to go to those two’s graves and kowtow just three times and begged for forgiveness. They were not very good people but they didn’t deserve the ending they got. It will also be great if you sincerely pray that they reincarnate in their next life and live good lives. What do you think?”

To be honest the men didn’t think that Elektra would ask them this. They thought that her request was a bit strange and also simple. Weren’t there any hidden traps behind this?

“Is this the only thing that you want from us? Will everything end after we do this?” Robert still decided to get his answers.

Even though he hated kneeling for anyone, in order to retain peace and turn everything back to the way it was before, even if he were to kowtow for the whole day, he didn’t mind.

“Of course, that is all and if you are sincere enough, we can talk about how to treat you, for a price of course,” Elektra slowly said as her eyes darted from Ian to Robert.

Robert didn’t care at this point whether Elektra was playing them or not, as long as he receives what he wanted then he was willing to do even more shameless things to get it.

With gritted teeth and clenched fists, he firmly looked at Elektra and uttered the words he never thought will say in his life, “I will go and do it!”

Elektra clapped her hands lightly as she didn’t want to hurt from the pain and chuckled happily, “that’s good then. At seven let’s meet at the cemetery and I don’t care what condition your wife will be in. I want all of you there and you better play no tricks.”

Since she had spoken her mind, the same way she appeared, just like a ghost, Elektra vanished from the room and the masked men were also nowhere to be found.

This was enough to stimulate both Ian and Robert with enough fear to last their entire lives. Ian was shaking and trembling like a wet puppy while Robert tried his best to calm himself down but his hands were trembling so bad, he couldn’t hide the fear that had overcome him.

He now understood the reason why Ian was discouraging him to not try anything on Elektra before. This was someone he couldn’t afford to offend, if this person wanted him dead, he would surely be dead.

“I think that we should be grateful that she doesn’t want to kill us. Let us just do everything that she wants and get this over with. We don’t want to let her roam freely around us for long. I am tired of all this,” Ian spoke weakly as he looked at his son-in-law.

Robert had also seen it with his own eyes so he wasn’t going to cause any more trouble, “I will just follow the instructions, for Pearl, I will do everything!”
