CHAPTER 57: OUTING 2

Elektra didn’t let the girls wait for long as her face was officially exposed to the three of them. All three of them had a different expression on their faces. Who knew that the girl they had been playing with for over a year was this stunning?

This was a huge blow to their egos and prides and they all resented being curious. They finally began to understand the reason why Elektra had always hidden her face.

With a face like that, trouble will only follow. And the girls had been used to getting attention and if Elektra were to walk around like this, won't they just bee mannequins and Elektra’s background?

“Because I hate the way people look at me when I am like this, I am forced to wear a veil and I am now used to it already. Since there will be a lot of questions asked tonight, I decided that it is time I officially show my face to my dear friends,” Elektra had a faint smile on her face as she said this.

The three girls were drowning in embarrassment, they had always talked behind Elektra before and always thought that the other was hideous but who knew that she was this ………

“I am married to Kasper and had been for a few months now. I don’t belong to any influential family and I am an orphan who was raised by my aunt and uncle. There is nothing special about me, so please don’t overthink it,” Elektra answered a lot of questions that the girls were dying to ask in one breath.

Molly’s face was red as she didn’t know where to look, as the person who pursued the other before, her intentions weren’t very pure so she was ashamed of herself at the moment.

“So, you have been wearing the veil simply because of this?” Hartley wasn’t feeling good at all.

It was as if she had been hit by a meteor and her view of the world completely changed.

Elektra understood Hartley’s attitude very well and Elektra didn’t blame her after all Hartley reminded her of her past self.

“Umm, it’s a hustle being a walking billboard so having a veil is much safer. It’s not because I look highly on myself, I just don’t like …………” Elektra just couldn’t find the correct words but the girls understood her at this point.

Hartley felt really regretful for what she did before, she wasn’t that hot-headed so she quickly realized her mistake and apologized before she forgot about it, “I am very sorry for everything I did to you. I was being immature and I judged a book by its cover, I feel very ashamed about that.”

Elektra never thought that Hartley was much better than the previous her and a smile broke out on her face, this simply showed that Hartley’s future was bright and she won’t be meeting any doom soon.

“It’s okay, if I was in your shoes, I would have done the same,” Elektra quickly warmed up to Hartley, and that distance that had between the two completely got erased and they began to converse like best friends.

This left Molly and Faith in an awkward situation as this change was too much for them.

“Is there anything else that you guys want to ask?” Elektra finally remembered the other girls and asked.

Faith was so angry that she completely burst out, “if things had been like this, why didn’t you make things clear before?”

Who would know that some angelic people were this sour and hot when things doesn’t go their way?

Elektra felt very sour as this was going to be a very long night.

By the time the girls returned to the suite, they were in pairs and Elektra was with Hartley who was now following her like a puppy. As for Molly and Faith, it was just a headache thinking about it.

The outing that was arranged to roast Elektra ended up being an outing for Hartley to follow Elektra with all of her heart. As for Molly and Faith, the two girls couldn’t stand being around the other two, so they left before breakfast.

Hartley didn’t think much about it and she didn’t feel pressured by the way things turned out.

At least she wasn’t fake like those two, she truly began to like Elektra which is the reason why she was acting like this. It wasn’t because of the money that the other has but her forgiving heart.

She still remembers that day when Elektra coldly reprimanded her after she called Elektra names on her birthday. her hatred for Elektra was simply too much that to her it didn’t matter who was in the wrong.

She had always believed that Elektra was a bully, she simply assumed it like that but when she finally knew the truth, it was already too late and she was too proud to ask for forgiveness.

But something had been bugging her lately and maybe it was because of a story that she had been listening to that made her change to become better. Ever since she got scammed into listening to Crazy Love by a cousin, Hartley had been reflecting a lot. She didn’t want to end up like Amina and die in misery despite being in her beloved’s arms.

Apart from her fear of the unknown, Hartley didn’t feel pressured by Elektra anymore so sincerely befriending the other was the only thing that she could do.
When it is true friendship, money and benefits will become things of the past. As Sunday was the last day and the day they will be driving back home, Hartley decided to make as many memories as she can.

Elektra wasn’t a fun person; this is something that Hartley noticed and she had hated Elektra because of that. But she didn’t want to have fun on her own so she forcefully dragged the other around.

In the end, Elektra finally had smiles on her face as she posed for photos once in a while. Hartley also didn’t want to be surrounded by lecherous people and others who loves chasing beauty so she didn’t oppose it when Elektra wore the veil over her face.

The girls had a lot of fun before going their separate way around three after having their lunch.
