CHAPTER 46: BIRTHDAY BANQUET
After getting rid of the shock, everyone in the room began to enthusiastically put make-up on that flawless face and style that silver hair that was just out of this world.
They have never seen such a beautiful person before despite being involved with celebrities and famous people in Vrak.
Compliments landed on Elektra and she became numb to them after a while. The whole dress-up process took over two hours and by the time they were done, Elektra was exhausted.
But when she looked at her reflection in the mirror, she felt that it was worth it. Being beautiful on this day makes everything worth it.
Around five in the evening, the missing Kasper made his entrance and he was dressed handsomely. His clothes matched hers or should we say that they wore a matching couple outfit.
In a certain exclusive hotel, where everyone wants to go but can’t afford, the place was open as cars continuously streamed in for a banquet being held.
Reporters had managed to find their way there, and even though they didn’t manage to get inside, they didn’t get kicked out or chased away so there were busy getting any scoop they can.
Mystic hotel, was well known for its extravagance and it was a place where only the top of the top could go and stay. Nobodies or the not-so-rich couldn’t afford a drink there and yet Third Master Kasper was hosting a birthday banquet for an
unknown person.
The rumors had been flying around and everyone was trying to figure out why Kasper was doing this after all Kasper was someone who didn’t follow the norm and they were just dying to find out.
Children from the top eight families were present as Kasper was best friends with five from the eight making it six. It wasn’t that he wasn’t friendly with the other two but he just didn’t have any friends from there.
After being invited by Kasper, they didn’t dare attend as offending this almighty was the last thing that they wanted. they also brought along gifts as it wasn’t okay to come empty-handed.
Among the guests was Jill who had been roasted with Elektra a few days ago. She didn’t want to go to the banquet at all but after receiving a personal visit from Kasper, she was left with no choice but to go.
At least she was among her friends, which were mainly men but as she grew up with them, she was at ease and no one labeled her as someone who was trying to climb the social ladder.
Jill wasn’t talking much as she had been in a bad mood recently. The guys tried to cheer her up but it wasn’t working at all. Nathan was quiet, drinking his whisky with furrowed eyebrows as he looked at the depressed Jill.
He had always paid great attention to Jill, so he knew about what transpired a few days ago. He didn’t have the full details on what exactly happened but he had an idea.
He knew that Elektra was not easy from the second he saw her and now he was even sure about it. But tonight, wasn’t the night to think about this. There were still many days to come ahead and he was going to see how to deal with it when the time comes.
Also among the guests were the Murray siblings. They were seven but currently, only two of the siblings were present; Bryce and Celia, and these were the youngest.
The other four were busy and they couldn’t currently make it, so the youngest who strive in entertainment joined in.
The Murray siblings were busy chatting with friends, even though they understood that this day was probably to introduce Elektra to the world, they were very fazed.
Their brother was just too daring to go against their mother who had been planning Kasper’s marriage for years. They thought that he will marry Alice or Jill and if another person was lucky, that person will do but who knew that he went straight for a faceless girl?
As siblings of Kasper, they didn’t even know what their sister-in-law looks like. How were they supposed to answer these people who were busy throwing these questions at them?
Among the guests were also Elektra’s friends who were shocked by the venue and the people who came to attend the birthday. Hartley was quiet and she wasn’t as that talkative as before.
She had been scared silly by the people she had seen. She wasn’t stupid to cause trouble for herself and in cases like this, it was better to just keep to oneself. She didn’t want to offend anyone as her guts were very small.
Molly’s assumptions were finally proven right. The person behind Elektra was very powerful and seeing the top eight families present, it was even confirmed. She didn’t know how she was going to act later when Elektra arrives, but she sincerely prayed and hoped that she won’t make any mistakes.
As Elektra didn’t have many friends, there were only three of her friends present and the rest belonged to Kasper’s side. The total guests were around one hundred and that was enough to make a scene especially with the high-profiled people that attended.
More people were arriving and they were all waiting for Kasper and the birthday person to arrive. They were already tired of crooning their necks to check whether they have arrived or not.
The hall that had been picked for this extravagant event was the biggest and reserved for the V. I. P’s and owner. No one really knew who the owner of the hotel was, as the person had kept himself hidden for a long time.
The decorations were top notch and the food, famous faces of chefs were being seen and anyone could tell that Kasper had put his all into planning this banquet.
It was around six when the noise from the outside attracted everyone’s attention.
As it was a bit embarrassing to go out and check, those with thick skin like Bryce, Celia, and Kasper’s friends went outside to see whether the stars of the night had arrived or not.
And what they saw outside, made their jaws drop. It was quite a scene to remember.
