CHAPTER 87: 2nd LIFE 4
Elektra’s life was very disturbing and now he understood why she acted the way she did. Just like she said, he was very lucky that she didn’t kill him. He had wronged her so much and yet she still stayed by his side.
He couldn’t ask for more than this, “I know that there is nothing that I can do to change what happened to you before but I swear on my name that I will never allow anything to happen to you again.
It doesn’t matter if you are a human or a zombie. To me, you are my Elektra, the wife that I chose and love. Thank you for trusting me and telling me your story. I will make sure that I make those people pay for what they did to you. You don’t deserve anything that happened to you!”
Kasper’s voice was hoarse as he vowed and promised this. He felt really useless, he wanted to let the pain go away, and yet he couldn’t do anything. The pain was already etched in her heart and it was already part of her, so how can he change that?
Elektra was no longer feeling stuffy, she had kept this secret for a very long time. Even those closest to her didn’t know what she went through, Kasper was the only person who knew what really happened to her and what she went through.
By saying this all out, she felt the huge burden leaving her, she felt much lighter and she was just grateful that Kasper was the person beside her and he had helped her greatly.
“Umm, I will leave everything to you. With you here, I am assured of everything!” Elektra agreed with him as she leaned her body into his.
Kasper didn’t evade her but embraced her tightly as if he was afraid that she will vanish and leave him.
“I will not let you down!”
Elektra didn’t reply but she had a smile on her smile, the raging inferno in her body was now calm as if it wasn’t there before.
She was one of the lucky ones. Even though her life was very miserable, she got rewarded in the end. She was judged for her sins and all she asked for was some peace.
She didn’t want to kill Pearl and Robert, she just wanted to teach them a lesson. She just wanted some justice for her mother and make those people kneel and apologize to her mother.
She didn’t want to continue the cycle of vengeance. She didn’t want to put her child in danger because of this.
As long as they do what they want then she will let them go but in the meantime, she was going to leave everything in Kasper’s hands and let him vent out his frustrations.
When they were done playing, she was going to let them go.
The couple just hugged each other without saying a word and the scene was very harmonious. The silence was suddenly shattered when Anisha who had not seen her parents for hours barged in. The little girl was getting antsy and she wanted to find her parents to go and play with.
But when she entered the room, she realized that the atmosphere was quite tense. She was young but she wasn’t stupid, she understood some adult things perfectly.
Elektra didn’t look okay and seeing her with such a downcast expression, she felt very sad. Anisha made her way to where her parents were and she stood right in front of them.
Elektra was now sitting straight and trying her best to best at the little girl but because it was a bit forced, it looked a bit crooked and scary. However, Anisha didn’t get scared from it, after all even though she is young, she also understood the fact that adults have their own problems.
She didn’t want Elektra to be sad, so in her small head thought began to form and she didn’t wait and quickly approached Elektra before holding her hand, “mom, let’s go and play!”
On Ian’s side, he had simply ordered the driver to leave the hotel as quickly as possible as he was very scared to stay there for any second longer. He didn’t go back to his house which was big and lonely for one person as all of his children were all married with their own families.
The grandkids lived with their parents and it was just him and the servants. He wasn’t in the mood to go back to that cold house and all he could think of was to go and find his child and see whether she was okay or not.
His oldest son Gordon was currently overseeing and on a very important business trip and Ian didn’t want to disturb him. Gordon was actually a great leader and Ian has a lot of faith in him.
He believed that as long as Gordon takes the reign, then the company that he had worked so hard for will continue to strive or even become better.
For some years now, he had been reluctant to give his office to Gordon. Even though he was a father, just giving up his throne to his son, he felt as if he was being stripped of his identity and he didn’t like the sound of that.
But after experiencing these horrible days full of drama and filled with the unknown, Ian began to look back at his life. Maybe it was time to finally rest, travel a bit, and see the world.
He had never done that before, he was too busy, even when he was married to his first wife Primrose because he didn’t have true feelings for her, he avoided her most of the time.
Even when he lost her and married Hope, he didn’t have time to spend with the family, it is also how he allowed Hope and Cleo to mistreat Gordon and Pearl.
It was also the reason why he and his family were in this situation. He couldn’t blame the kids for what they did, after all both sides were in the wrong.
Ian solemnly shook his head when he arrived at Pearl’s home and the first thing that welcomed him was the sound of things being shattered and his heart sank, it seems like things weren’t going smoothly after all.
“Why are you all useless! Get out!” the angry voice of Robert could be heard.
