CHAPTER 80: CLEO 3

“Yes, it meant that you persecuted the wrong people. Even if you hated the mother and daughter so much, why did you have to commit such atrocities?” Elektra’s voice sounded as she walked into the room.

“You…….what do you want from us?” Pearl was now scared.

If this person were to report them, won't they be charged with murder? Won’t their lives come to an end?

She didn’t want anything to happen to her. What will her children do? What will her family do or the world sees her as?

“Like I said I want some answers. I have the diary with me and I am glad that the pages aren’t missing. I guess that you never thought that one day someone will come to look for this otherwise you would have gotten rid of it, years ago!” Elektra laughed seeing how arrogant Robert was in his confidence.

“I will give them to you! What more do you want?” Robert asked and his tone was not pleasant.

“I have received what I want but I want you to tell Ian the whole truth, especially of the people who are responsible for Pearl’s mother's death,” she said as she approached the bed.

Elektra pointed her finger at Robert’s nether region and ice struck there making Robert howl painfully like a wolf.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, please let me go! It is so painful, I beg of you, please!”

Robert looked very miserably as the cold penetrate him, his pengornis felt very numb and it felt like it was losing its functions already. Pearl was stroked with fear seeing that her husband was howling and in pain and there was nothing that she can do to stop it.

“Please, just let him go. We will do everything that you want. Just please, let him go!” Pearl was crying and snort coming out as she pleaded for leniency.

“If a sorry could solve all problems, wouldn’t all the problems be solved already by now?” Elektra mocked as her finger hovered around Pearl’s leg and another ice was shot in.

This time it was Pearl who was howling like a wolf and the room was filled with a lot of pleading. Elektra looked emotionlessly at the people that had caused her life to dive and sent her to hell.

“I will give you twenty-four hours to come clean. Ian knows where to find me!” Elektra coldly said and disappeared from the room.

The couple didn’t stop screaming as they held each other’s hand. The pain was immense and they simply prayed that someone will find them. they still couldn’t move as the ice has sealed them in the bed.

The couple got tired of crying and luckily the ice melted and they were able to come out of bed. Robert gritted his teeth as he looked at the deformed pengornis of his.

If he wanted to become a man again, he knew that he had to find Ian and talk to him. He didn’t want to confess and expose himself, if it was possible, he wanted to get rid of Lady Frost but the opponent had proven to be hard to deal with.

He looked at his wife who was crying and couldn’t move her leg, Robert looked at the swollen leg and couldn’t help but hated Lady Frost for hurting Pearl.

“Just lie down, I will call the doctor and check around to see if our men are still here,” Robert softly said as he comforted his wife.

Pearl trusted Robert and even though they suffered like this because of him, she knew that he did everything for her and she couldn’t hate him because of that, “I will wait for you.”

Robert left the bedroom and went to check the kids first; he was glad to see that they were okay and sleeping peacefully. After that, he checked the men, and they were all knocked out but not dead.

He shook his chief guard and the man groggily woke up. Robert could tell that whoever hit him, did it very hard and he was lucky that he was alive.

When the man saw that he was awake and had failed in his duties, he quickly went on his knees to plead for mercy and punishment, “I am sorry that I have failed you. May you punish me as you fit!”

The man was very loyal to him and Robert couldn’t raise his hand against him. No one would have known that his greatest enemy wasn’t a human being but a supernatural one.

How could they have won such a person like that?

“It’s not your fault. I need you to go and bring my father-in-law here. We need to talk and at the same time have someone pick the doctor, it’s an emergency,” Robert instructed his man.

When the man heard this, he was very worried and about getting punishment, he will talk about that another time.

Robert returned to the bedroom and told his wife that the kids were okay and Pearl was relieved.

“Hubby, what do you think that person wants to achieve?” Pearl still couldn’t get it.

That person obviously knew the truth and yet she didn’t do anything extensive to them despite that.

“I can’t guess it, I guess we will see when the twenty-four hours are over,” Robert hopelessly answered.

“I guess we have to wait,” Pearl also felt hopeless but decided to wait for her husband and father to meet and talk.

Whatever they decided she was going to go along with that and see if that can save them. The doctor was the first to arrive and he did check Pearl and the old man felt very hopeless.

“I have never seen anything like this before. I need to look into it more,” the doctor shook his head and Pearl burst out crying.

Pearl looked at Robert and she looked very pitiful, “Is there no other way?”

“I guess that we only have that one option!” Robert sighed as he felt hopeless.
