CHAPTER 78: CLEO

Ian’s men didn’t play around and quickly did what they were told and new information was placed on Ian’s desk.

The more he read the reports the more he found everything to be suspicious but none of his suspicions could be proved until he sits with Pearl and Robert to find out where they got their evidence from.

After finding out who Kasper Murray was, Ian nearly fainted. To think that he had sat down with such a mogul and angered him, he wondered when his company will go bankrupt?

And to prepare for the worst, Ian spent the whole night improvising and creating some plans that won’t make all the whole hard work shatter with just an instruction from the Murrays.

To think that the Murrays were part of the great top eight families of Vrak, Ian knew that he had to take this seriously otherwise the consequences will be dire. The question he had been asking himself of the person so daring to blackmail and threaten him was answered and he couldn’t do anything about it.

As Ian was busy trying to save the family from future threats, Elektra wasn’t idle too.

Elektra didn’t want to drag this for long, she wanted to deal with those people fast and then have a great time with her husband and child. She didn’t want to keep on playing the cat and mouse games as it was taking too much of her time.

Apart from that her anger outburst yesterday made her expose herself and even though Kasper had not mentioned a word, judging from the way he was treating her and being clingy, she knew that the man knew her secret.

It wasn’t time for her to tell him yet but maybe in a few days she was going to do that and it had to wait until she seeks her answers. So that night when they weren’t to bed, Elektra didn’t sleep but woke up lightly.

She didn’t use her abilities to knock out the man so that he won’t wake up. She dressed up in black and jumped out from the window swiftly. Kasper had a feeling that something was going to happen, so he pretended to be sleeping.

He saw everything that happened and the shock was still daunting. He was only relieved when he saw that she landed safely. He couldn’t follow her as he didn’t know where she was going but he believed that she will never leave him and Anisha.

Before she might have but now it was impossible. He couldn’t sleep so he instructed his men to keep a closer watch on the Days’ and Keens’.

Elektra didn’t need to use a car especially when it can make her get caught and it was too slow. Elektra met with Chameleon, one of her ten children who teleported her to Pearl and Robert’s house.

Her men were already in the place, she didn’t come here to kill anyone. If she were to do that won't the children become orphans?

Elektra didn’t want to be the person who takes someone else’s mother from the children. She had her mother taken away from her and she didn’t want anyone to go through that especially when she can solve her issues with another method.

Pearl and Robert were in bed cuddling each other and just looking at them, Elektra couldn’t help but envy them. it wasn’t that Kasper was romantic but she was jealous that when Pearl was at her lowest point, suffering from the bullying from her and Hope, she met this Robert who changed her life.

If at that time before she had been tricked and got into drugs, she had met someone like Kasper, won't her life be different?

Anyway, she wasn’t here to admire the loving couple but to have a great talk with them. So, she released the cold air and the ice-coated bed. It practically sealed the couple inside.

Elektra didn’t want them moving around and keeping them half sealed would get her the answers she needed fast.

Robert was the first to sense that something was wrong and when he opened his eyes and tried to move, he was shocked to see that there was someone in the house and the person was sitting looking at them.

He quickly shook Pearl who was frowning and shaking because of the cold, “hubby, why is it cold?”

“How can it not be cold when the bedroom is about to turn into a cold storage?” Elektra answered Pearl in a mocking tone.

Pearl hearing another female voice in her bedroom was jolted awake. Which woman wouldn’t react like this? This was her home and yet some woman barged in?

Pearl looked at Robert who wore a sullen expression and she was relieved seeing that he was still with her. pearl tried to wake up but something kept restricting her.

“Who are you? What are you doing in our house?” Pearl was so angry to see someone else in her house.

She didn’t like this at all!

“I am your worst nightmare!” Elektra chuckled evilly as she lit the room up.

Pearl’s eyes nearly bulged out as she looked at a familiar person, “you…..you, aren’t you that person that bought that bracelet at the auction?”

Elektra applauded and clapped her hands feeling happy that Pearl had remembered her and didn’t forget her for a second, “it’s good that you remember me. Is it the only place that you saw me? Have you forgotten already?”

Elektra didn’t mind taunting Pearl as this girl had been her worst nightmare at some point and she couldn’t forget.

Pearl didn’t want to admit it but that face was the same one as that person who had been busy narrating stories on that platform.

“You are Lady Frost!” Robert answered calmly but his blood was rushing.

He hated it when he wasn’t in control. For this Lady Frost to walk into his house with so much security unnoticed, she wasn’t a normal person and that really scare him.

“Ohhh, I am glad that you all know who I am. Anyway, I am not here to reminisce about that but hear to receive some answers. If you lie to me, I will increase the intensity of the cold and make you all freeze to death. That won’t be my loss, just think about your children and families. You wouldn’t want to die because of some questions, right?” Elektra said as she blinked her eyes innocently at the couple who were stuck on the bed because of the ice already.

Pearl was so angry that she lashed out at Elektra, “who do you think you are?”
