Lily’s expression remained unwavering. "No, I'm nothing like you. Unlike you, I don’t betray those I love. You should have known better than to drag your daughter into this."
Ariana, standing by her mother, started to falter. She had thought she could rely on her mother’s strength and cunning, but seeing Lily’s conviction made her realize how deep they had sunk. "Mom, maybe we should—"
Carolina cut her off sharply. “No, we will not back down. Lily is just bluffing.”

Back at their home, Lily arrived to find Alexander waiting for her. She embraced him tightly, burying her face in his shoulder. “It’s finally over, Alexander. They’re going to pay for everything they did.”
He held her close, feeling the tension in her shoulders slowly fade. “You were amazing out there, Lily. You did what needed to be done.”
She looked up at him, determination still burning in her eyes. “We’re not completely free yet. Carolina’s allies might try to retaliate. But whatever comes, we’ll face it together.”
