168. The End
Freda's pov
With the door of my chamber shut, I dragged Christie into the room. "What was that about?" I asked, her face fell, more like tears brewing from them. "Christie, darling. Is anything the matter?"
She sighed before raising her head to look at me. "I miss him" she muttered. I thought I would have forgotten all about him after spending such a long period in the human world, but I was mistaken, just one sight and the memories of him came flooding again.
I knew about Christie and Elijah and I frequently apologized to her in the human world for cutting their life story short because she had to come with me. But she had never mentioned if anything had been wrong in their relationship.
"Is he upset you left for so long?"
"I didn't tell him I was leaving."
"You didn't."
"I couldn't. I was upset."
"And what might have caused that?"
Christie went on to explain how she found out that Elijah was the same man she told me about. The one at the blood club, who dis-virgin her and kept coming back. The one who bought her so no man could have her, the one that she never saw his face but recognized his moans.
That man was Elijah and Christie was certain he knew about everything even working at the palace and still went ahead in pretending he was just a good guy. She even had a theory that Lady Agatha was involved in this, saying she hated her so much that she used her son to lure her.
Christie's story moved me to tears, the way she spoke and cried. I was emotionally attached to her and seeing her hurt just made it sad for me. I pulled her into a hug as I comforted her.
After some moment, the door opened and Damien entered, his 3yes were fixed on me as he saw some stored tears. "What are you crying?" He asked in a protective time. He glanced at Christie seeing her wiping her eyes too.
"An emotional moment?" He asked and I nodded.
"Christie, not to be rude but Freda doesn't need sad stories at this point"
I"Damien…" I called, and he was rather harsh.
"It's the truth, Freda. I don't want to see you cry. Look at you, all round and big belly, all you need is rest."
I chuckled. "I can handle Christie's emotions. It's nothing serious. It's just girl talk."
"Maybe postpone it till the baby comes", He rolled his eyes as he approached me, raising me gently from the bed and touching my belly. "Christie, please leave. Freda would like to have her bath" he said.
He was right, I had been running from the shower since daybreak, and Damien promised to bathe me when he was free. Well, he was ready.
Christie boarded her head and left the room and I frowned at Damien. "Be easy on her, she's going through so much"
"You too" he pulled off my clothes and then carried me like a bride into the bathroom.

Freda's contractions grew stronger. "Damien.." She screamed.
"Freda, please hold on" I begged. I didn't know what to do, Lady Daphne and Elara were already on their way. I had no idea how this worked. And it was harder because Freda was in pain.
"You're doing beautifully, my love," I said
She was a tribid, and the process was much harder than giving birth in the same way as mortals, wolves, or vampires.
Elara and Daphne rushed into the room. "I fear there might be a transformation," Elara said, the moment she saw Freda.
My face was in disarray. "That's torture at such a critical stage"
"It could be easier for her to birth the child in the vampire's natural self," Daphne added.
Whatever they said, I didn't understand. But I watched them go to Freda, assisting her in the labor.
Freda's body began to shift. Her skin stung and burned as her body rearranged itself to accommodate the baby within her.
I rushed to her, holding her close, my fangs exposed as I prepared to help my wife through the transformation. Her face flashed with pain and fear but I held her hand and calmed her.
"Freda, you can do this."
With one final push, the baby emerged, its tiny body glowing with a magical light.
As I took the baby in my arms, Freda smiled, and I noticed her new fangs. "We did it," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
"We certainly did," I said, "We've created a new life, a new beginning."

Freda's Pov
The news spread to the town, the werewolf kingdom, the vampires, and even the human world. A baby was born, an heir, a magical being, possessing unique qualities at such a young age.
That baby was my baby.
"Our baby" Damien interrupted my thought as he could hear me. He bent toward me, kissing me on the forehead, and then carrying the little boy.
"Come, let's show him to the world. Everyone is gathered in the main room"
"Everyone?"
"Yes. Your mother, Kara, Winston, Lilly, the nobles…" he kept mentioning more names and I only smiled wider.
Everyone was here to see my child and I felt excited about this experience. I was a mother now. I was a wife. I was a graduate. I was a Queen. There was no other achievement that could beat it.
I got everything I wanted. I got King Damien and I got Baby Kaiden.
As we walked out to the main room, cheers erupted, Kara running to hug me first. I stayed in her embrace for a very long time before proceeding to hug my mother and then my father.
"I'm proud of you, Freda" My father whispered when he pulled away from me. "You're stronger than I thought."
I smiled, showing my new fangs and I saw the surprise on his face, but it was a story for another day.
