Her Passion 7

Ava's POV:

I grinned as I watched my pathetic excuse for a sister stare at me with a stunned expression as she fell to the ground at my blow, both amusement and a sick sense of pride running through me as I saw the red imprint of my hand on her right cheek.

Serves her right for talking about my mate like he was hers, I may hate the idiot now, but my wolf had acted out before I could realise what was happening, I was just thankful that I'd managed to close my eyes and calm down before they flashed and everyone found out. I'd never had this much trouble controlling my anger before, but this whole partner thing was new to me and completely out of my safety zone.

I ran my hand through my slightly wind tousled curls as I walked away, hating myself for thinking about how incredibly gorgeous my mate was standing in the field as his scent beguiled my senses.

My inner wolf was screaming at me to run to him, to press my lips to his, to show him who he belonged to... I shook the possessive thoughts out of my head, well, I just made it a lot more complicated, I thought with a shrug.

The next day was nothing new at first, I'd begrudgingly forgiven Levi/Leo since it really wasn't his fault, but the asshole who'd now spread my life story all over the school was glad I was trying to keep the fact that I was a shifter a secret from everyone.

I wonder if he'd accept me if he thought I couldn't shifter, I thought curiously to myself, my train of thought hatefully going back to the man who was addressing me both in my dreams and in my thoughts. I cringed, of course he wouldn't!

'Give him a chance, you know you can't deny him forever,' my she-wolf pleaded with me, and her comment was nothing I hadn't heard before in the last few days. I sighed as I made my way to the wolf dominated school, at least I didn't have to worry about humans, I thought as I tried to look on the practically non-existent bright side.

"Did you hear she's the Ava Gold?"

"Why is our alpha always looking at her like that, are they mated?"

"I can't believe it, did you hear what she did to..."

I pursed my lips in irritation as my sensitive hearing picked up the whispers around me, the gossips unaware that I could hear every word accurately.

They tried not to stare at me, lest I give them the same treatment I gave my bitch of a sister.

While chewing on the gum in my mouth, I took my time walking to my first class, because the fact that I was the missing Gold, as everyone called me, was now known throughout the school, just as I'd expected. Damn, you jerk, I growled inwardly as I thought about the boy whose fault this was, yes, I know who it was, and added a scowl to my mental pain list.

The beginning of the morning was lame to say the least, although the startled looks I earned when they mentioned the persistent one with Sophia mentioned, made me smile slightly. Since she was the only female shifter in the school, none of the girls had acted out like I did because she was too afraid of the consequences it would have on her or her comrades.

As I tapped my fingernails on the table, I looked out the window and was greeted by the male students who were attending their classes where shifters were required. I sighed as I looked out. There was nothing wrong with me watching a bunch of muscular guys running around shirtless, was there?

So I sat there and watched them while ignoring what the teacher was saying. At least pairing up with the Alpha meant they left me alone, not that I was thinking about him or anything...

"Hey... can I sit here?" a girl asked nervously, bringing me out of my daydream as I spotted the blonde girl from yesterday standing beside me, looking nervous. I tilted my head to the side and clicked my tongue before pushing the chair out from under the table with my foot.

"Knock yourself out," I winked before looking out the window again, my back stiffening as I spotted my shirt-sleeved mate standing next to the teacher dressed only in a pair of shorts.

"Hi, cutie,"

I crooned as I stared out the window, what?

I couldn't deny that he was the hottest guy I'd ever seen.

"Urm...", I heard the girl next to me get even more nervous and looked around to find that she was grinning so hard I thought her face would break. I raised an eyebrow, please don't tell me I'd a mentalist sitting next to me, that was the last thing I needed to add to my current list of problems.

"Are you okay?" Seeing that the girl was talking to me, she immediately went back to class, leaving me to enjoy the benefits of being the idiot that was my mate.

"Yeah, I'm Ella by the way," she smiled and held out her hand for me to shake. "Please, a girl who can shred like you at least deserves a high-five," I smirked, remembering her reaction to my stunt yesterday, which made her grin as we clapped hands in a completely childish manner. Neither of us seemed to mind, though, because I introduced myself next.

"I'm Ava, you've probably heard most of my life from the rumours," I winked, I seemed to be doing that a lot lately, I thought.

"Like I care, but I know your Ethan mate too," she said cautiously, waving off my comment before talking about this Ethan guy with a more cautious tone. Who the hell is Ethan?

"What?" I caught myself asking, raising my eyebrows in a gesture that made it clear I'd no idea what she was talking about.

"Ethan, your mate, the alpha," she chuckled at my naivety, and I took a deep breath before snorting as I realised who she was talking about.

"You're funny," I couldn't help but smile as she tried to calm down, but then she looked at me and started laughing again.
"You're funny, we're going to get along great," she smiled and I returned her smile, she seemed like the shy type, but I couldn't help but think that appearances prove nothing. "So.... I heard why you slapped that bitch?" she asked and I screwed up my face when she mentioned my sister.

"Aren't you supposed to worship her or something?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, drumming my fingernails on the table to piss the teacher off even more. I knew she was going to snap at any moment, and
I couldn't wait to see her reaction, since I was considered a dangerous villain thanks to the rumours at school. I didn't mind that though, I liked it when people were scared of me because it meant they kept their distance.

"Like I worship her, the only thing that impresses me in a sick way is the fact that she's not pregnant yet," she snorted, which made me grin, I liked this girl, she'd spunk.

"You can't be that surprised, can you? The guys who're desperate enough to go to her are obviously smart enough to pack their shit," I grinned, to which she grinned in my direction until she seemed to be staring out the window next to me. "And which ones are yours?" I asked, knowing full well that she'd assume I could tell she was mated by the dreamy look on her face, and not by the fact that I could smell the strong odour of a male on her.

"Beta James, him," she declared proudly, pointing out the window to see an equally handsome guy standing next to my mate.

Wait a minute ... please tell me I didn't just mistake him for my mate! He's delicious, I bet he knows just how to please you, doesn't he?" I winked and laughed as I saw her blush deeply, yes, we'd get along splendidly.
