Her Passion 13

Ethan's POV:

I couldn't help grinning, though I tried, here.
I was sitting in one of my favourite places and had my soul mate in front of me.

I was relieved when she didn't overreact when I took her away from school, but as an alpha, that was very easy since I'd mastered this whole area.

Looking at her now, I couldn't help but already fall in love with her, how could I not when she was completely perfect in my eyes? She couldn't transform, but that didn't bother me, because why should it when she was my equal in every way. She belonged to me as I belonged to her, she just had to comply and accept that fact.

"You've some ice cream there," I grinned, making her look up from her half-full bowl with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" she asked in a duh tone, obviously thinking I was an idiot for pointing that out. I shook my head, giggling, and raised my hand to point to my mouth.

"You've ice cream on your lip," I giggled, trying to stifle my laughter as I watched her narrow her eyes in my direction.

It wasn't until she slowly and seductively ran her pink tongue over her bottom lip, cleaning up the little mess, that I stopped laughing.

I felt my laughter fade away as I stared hungrily at her. Damn, she could make things as simple as desert food make both me and my wolf howl with desire, I wanted her!

Oh, I wanted her!

She knew exactly what she was doing to me, but as her gleeful laughter filled the room, I couldn't help but shake my head with a smile as her mood was contagious to both me and my wolf.

"You want to tell me why you thought it was wise to kidnap me?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, making me wince at her expression.

"I didn't 'kidnap' you, as you so charmingly put it, I just wanted to be in your company," I explained, trying to look impassive, but failing. I watched her lean back in the booth and tilt her head to the side as she seemed to think.

"You're confusing me," she finally said after what seemed like hours, though I knew it was no more than 5 minutes. I raised an eyebrow, but gestured for her to continue, because I was incredibly curious about what she'd to say. Heck, I'd listen to anything she'd to say in exchange for hearing her voice and being close to her.

God, I was so whipped.

"You're insulting me while you're talking," she said before I could interrupt her, "I know, I know, you didn't mean to blah, blah, blah. Anyway, you seem to have gotten over your hatred of rouges, but what? Do you still want to be my mate even though I can't turn?" she asked, seemingly saying the last part with pain. I quickly sat up straight, did she think otherwise?

"I don't give a shit if you can turn or not, Ava, and for how I treated you in the beginning... I... really hate myself for it. But
I want, no, I need you to give me a second chance, Ava, please," I practically begged, not caring if anyone heard me say it. Hell, I'd get down on my knees in front of her if it meant she'd put me back in her good book.

I didn't know what I was expecting when I confessed my thoughts to her about the whole shifting thing, but what I didn't expect was for her to react so drastically to my confession. Within seconds of finishing my comment, I watched in open-mouthed pain as her eyes glazed over before a sob rose from her throat, the expression in her eyes being something like... Adoration. I could only hope.

"Ava? Ava!" I called after her as she suddenly fled to the bathroom, because I'd no idea what to do when I sensed she was miserable.

Had I said something to her? I quickly retraced our conversation, not knowing what I'd said to make her react that way.

I continued to wait for my mate, who stayed in the bathroom for hours, but after about 20 minutes she came out. I felt my heart break when I saw her puffy eyes and slightly paler face as she confidently walked over to me, but the effect she was trying to achieve was destroyed when I saw her bloodshot emerald eyes.

"Ava, are y'all right? Did I say something? Do you want to..." I began as I stood up to greet her, my eyes filling with worry as concern leapt from every word that crossed my lips.

I was about to ask what was going on in her pretty head when she stopped in front of me and her scent beguiled my senses, making my body pulse and twitch with desire.

"One chance" was all she breathed before her small hand wrapped around her neck and pulled me down. I felt her heartbeat radically increase as I closed my eyes and tilted my head while breathing in her delicious scent. All I could think was if I died now, I'd die a happy man.
