Her Broken Mate 30

"Can someone wake the damn pûssy up?
Someone's here to pick him up."

Seth's eyes were still closed, he didn't dare open them again. Why should he open them when he'd be greeted with more torture? He could tell that the two men who were with her were loosening the chains from the bar, causing his body to fall to the floor with a thud. A painful groan escaped him as the wounds hadn't yet healed.

He heard her chuckle again and ordered, "Pick that guy up, let's go and meet the victim, shall we?"

Over endless twists and turns, Seth was carried up the stairs and came to a sudden stop. A strangled, masculine-sounding scream rang out before him, shaking what was left of his soul.

When he wearily opened his eyes, he found himself facing none other than his father.

Jupiter's expression was horrified, his mouth gaping open.

He couldn't believe that it was his son.

Nor did he want to.

Seth didn't look the same, with the cuts, bruises and dried blood all over him. He couldn't blame his father, because he knew he wouldn't recognize himself either.

Judging by their reactions, the woman laughed even harder. "Haha!!! Magnificent! That's just ... beautiful. What a reunion, isn't it, Seth? Did you miss me, my darling? How do you like your present?"

His father's eyes lit up, his wolf coming out. "You damned demon, how dare you hurt my puppy!"

She feigned a pout, "Aww... I take it you did not like the gift... or more importantly, did you miss me?"

"Bitch, did you think I would miss you Especially after this!" his father countered, his fangs and claws growing in length, ready to attack. His wolf was still there, but behind him at every turn, getting ready to help him.

As he got closer, Seth exhaled, "Dad ... run."

Seth did not want him to get hurt, not after seeing what she had done to him.

Jupiter's eyes looked at him sadly. "Like hell I will, Seth. If you die, I die. You are my son, my heir to the next title. I will never leave you behind for my own sake," he declared.

If Seth could produce more tears, he could have cried a waterfall.

Seth swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded painfully. Jupiter smiled hopefully at him before transforming into a beast Seth had seen little of in his life. Seth admired it from afar, hoping to be big and intimidating one day when he grew older.

An alpha werewolf.

His father.

A roar escaped the animal, which soon rose into the air with its paws. The woman grinned and disappeared in a flash. In less than a second she was behind Jupiter, grinning playfully.

His father finally ignored her and focused on the two men holding Seth.

With a thunderous growl, he ran over to Seth and killed the two men with lightning speed. One rolled his head across the floor while the other had his head between his father's canines.

Seth slumped out of his bonds, and his father caught him on his fluffy back and carried him.

Careful of his wounds, Jupiter lovingly licked Seth's cheek, trying to keep him awake.

Seth could hear his worried whimpers, telling him to hang on a while longer. He nodded weakly and held onto his father's fur coat.

Jupiter spun around with Seth lying on top of him, spitting his head out toward the woman and licking her muzzle furiously.

A brief hint of fear showed on her face, but was replaced by awe. "You have never changed, have you, Jupiter? Powerful and handsome as ever."

He growled at her and prepared to attack again when she waved a hand in the air to signal something or someone to come to her aid. In fact, more than forty-seven rogues were coming.

They were surrounded.

And doomed.

"Last chance, Jupiter. You know my offer from all those years ago, don't you? Leave the kid and your bitch. Be with me instead," she offered seductively, sucking a finger between her lips.

This is so unsanitary, Seth thought in disgust since she had tortured him moments ago. With all the dried blood and God knows what else, she cleans her fingers by sucking them off. She's a freak.

Trembling, he clutched his father's coat tighter. His wolf head turned to Seth to assure him that they would get out of here alive. Seth could only nod once more and give him his belief.

Still, Seth had doubts that they would get away without consequences.

His father growled and crouched down to intimidate the villains. Most of them were already trembling a little when they felt his powerful aura of an alpha male. Others greedily licked their muzzles and goaded his father to attack them.

They wanted the fun, the ruthlessness.

And they will get it.

With a mighty growl, his father attacked the villain closest to him. His canines bored into the villain's throat, the light in his eyes leaving the villain with a gurgling yelp.

One by one, they attacked his father while fending off each one of them. At the same time, he protected his son as best he could.

There were times when some villains would grind their claws or teeth on Seth, but those were minor things.

His father's injuries were another story. He was bleeding profusely, his wolf already panting in pain and stumbling from exhaustion.

Around them lay some forty-eight corpses. Either mangled or to the point where they could be presumed dead and lifeless. One of them was already stuck in the middle of his father's canines and was being crushed while blood splattered everywhere.

With a toss, the body hit the wall with a thud. His head was so crushed it could be described as run over. Seth breathed a sigh of relief, thinking it was over. His father looked over at him happily and stuck his tongue out at him. He could feel Seth's heart pounding with excitement because they would both be alive.

Only this moment did not last very long.

Before Seth could comprehend what happened next, he was flung off his father's back.

A scream escaped from between Seth's lips as he landed on the concrete floor. The fall scratched more of Seth's skin and caused more cuts. As he tried to crawl, he could see at the edge of his vision that his father was struggling against the woman as he desperately tried to get to him.

Jupiter leaned toward him as if to say, 'Hold on, I'll get to you. I promise.'

Seth nodded again with difficulty and leaned against the wall to brace himself. The crazy woman seemed to have the upper hand when it came to current physical abilities, but his father had a better reason to fight. His mental abilities will always be far greater than hers.

Just as she hit him in the chest with her ridiculously long nails, he used his paw to deliver a blow. She was thrown against the wall, and debris fell on top of her. A pained scream escaped her from the impact, blood dripping from her forehead.

She appeared to be unconscious as she toppled over.

His father let out a howl as he celebrated the victory.

From there, Seth was able to gather enough strength to limp over to him and hug him as tight as he could.

At that moment, the woman interrupted the moment again, coming back in a flash and grabbing his father by the throat from behind. Startled, he opened his canines, whereupon she shoved several pills Seth had seen before.

In less than a second, Jupiter began to go limp.

Seth quickly caught him and was nearly crushed by the size of his father's wolf. The woman cackled as his father struggled to stand up.

As she approached them, she turned to Seth. Her eyes were wild, as if she wanted to finish the job. Before she could do so, his father extended his claws to a massive length and attacked one of her eyes.

She cried out in pain as the eyeball rolled out of its socket. As it rolled over to them, his father crushed it with a pop.

The woman was about to lunge at him again when she heard several more howls and growls coming from all around the area.

She held a hand to her missing eye socket and screamed, "This will not be the end, Jupiter. I will have you and my revenge."

With those words, she disappeared, knowing she had no advantage against the incoming reinforcements.

Seth blinked a few more times, trying to keep the black dots from engulfing him.
Several figures were near the horizon, one of which he identified as his mother. His mouth was saying something, tears streaming down her face.

Seth, however, could not understand her.

All he heard was the sound of a ringing.

Holding his limp father in his arms, he finally fell asleep in the land of miracles.
