Chapter 103 Foolishness
At the instant Logan saw Remington's punch, his expression changed. However, his third punch was already in motion and he couldn't hold back!
With a furious roar, Logan exerted all his strength and poured every ounce of his physical energy into this punch.
Their fists collided!
A deafening sound rang out, causing everyone's eardrums to feel numb, accompanied by a mild ringing.
Logan's wrist twisted as he turned pale. He was thrown backward, spitting blood as he fell to the ground, writhing in agony, unable to get up.
Henry was dumbfounded. He knew just how skilled Logan was, but now, it was Logan who had been defeated!
And as he turned to look, Remington appeared calm, not even breaking a sweat, as if he hadn't exerted any effort at all.
"Oh my god..." The crowd couldn't help but exclaim, their eyes wide open, staring at Remington in disbelief.
Remington nonchalantly said, "Bush Boxing is nothing special!"
His words silenced the scene.
Henry wanted to retort, but Logan's defeat left him speechless. Logan was considered one of the best in the Bush family, though not the top, he still had a formidable reputation and unmatched skills.
Ruben's face turned sour. He couldn't believe that Logan, who was so famous, had been defeated by Remington.
Joseph's face also turned pale. Logan's defeat meant that the Miller family would have a hard time finding a decent expert to invite.
Joseph clenched his fists tightly, but what could he do against the mighty Remington?
Ethan said to Edwin, "You see, I was right, wasn't I? My judgment is rarely wrong."
At this moment, no one could say a word. Indeed, if Ethan had been right the first time, it could be luck, but the second time indicated otherwise...
Ruben frowned and coldly said, "If you're so capable, why don't you go and try?"
"I'm just here to watch the excitement, why should I bother?" Ethan retorted.
"You..." Ruben was speechless, infuriated by Ethan's response. "You're not even a match for them, you're just talking big!"
Remington nodded lightly and said, "He's smart. He knows that empty boasts won't get him anywhere. But if he doesn't know his place, he'll get beaten. I wonder who else here doesn't know their place?"
Connor kicked the coffin heavily, the sound echoing, and sneered, "If the Miller family has no one left, then go ahead and accept this coffin. I still need to hurry back to Boulder!"
The faces of the Miller family turned grim. They looked around, hoping to find an expert among the crowd.
"Ethan!" Barbara called out.
At this moment, Barbara tugged at Ethan's sleeve and whispered, "Miss Miller?" Ethan glanced at her.
Barbara said, "Can you help us just this once? Take down this guy!"
Ethan replied, "I can't... I'm just here to watch and your uncle doesn't trust me."
Ruben was so angry that he stared fiercely at Ethan.
Henry, standing by, sneered, "Barbara, there's no need to waste your breath with him. He simply doesn't have what it takes. Even if he goes up, he'll just end up being beaten into a pulp by Remington. I'll call an expert from the Bush family right away. They can definitely crush Remington!"
However, Ruben waved his hand slightly and shook his head. Calling an expert at this time would make them lose face. It wouldn't just be the Miller family's dignity at stake but that of the entire Boston.
"Today is my birthday and someone is gifting me a casket. It's really too much..." Barbara couldn't help but lower her head, sighing, feeling extremely upset. "If you don't want to help the Miller family, could you help me just this once?"
"I don't want this kind of birthday gift! Besides, you haven't even given me a present yet! If you help me get rid of this gift, it would be the best gift you could give me!" Barbara pleaded earnestly.
Ethan frowned, then smiled helplessly and said, "Fine! It's your birthday, and having a casket delivered to your doorstep is indeed going too far. Even in prison, we don't have such shameless individuals!"
When Ethan agreed, everyone couldn't help but be stunned. They all looked at him incredulously, wondering if his mind had gone bad. Was he deceiving himself, thinking he was an unbeatable expert who could challenge Remington?
"Hey, calm down! Mr. Levis and Logan both lost, what are you going up there for? Are you looking to get killed?!" Dorothy couldn't stand it any longer and rushed up, grabbing hold of Ethan, though she was still a bit angry.
"You're not allowed to go!" Bernice also walked up with a grim expression and said in a deep voice.
Despite her disdain for Ethan, if he ended up being killed or handicapped by Remington, her father would not let her off the hook.
Ethan sneered and said, "There's no one who can stop me from doing what I want to do."
After saying this, he casually waved his hand, shaking off Dorothy's grip, and strode into the arena, facing off against Remington.
The scene erupted into chaos. No one expected Ethan to actually dare to stand up to Remington!
Dorothy couldn't help but turn to Barbara and say, "If you get him injured or killed, I will kill you!"
Bernice heard this and couldn't help but freeze for a moment. Wasn't she supposed to be the one saying that?
However, she had never thought that she should utter such words. Although she wished she could distant herself from Ethan and even curse him to death, she couldn't bring herself to do it.
Dorothy wasn't joking or playing coy with him, she meant it for real?!
Bernice was shocked. Barbara pressed her lips together, smiled, and said, "Don't worry, he'll be fine."
Ruben watched Ethan's figure, his disgust on his face finally subsiding, and said, "Regardless of success or failure, he is a friend of the Miller family!"
Henry sneered repeatedly, crossing his arms while spectating. Even Logan had been defeated, so Ethan, going up against a skilled player like Remington, probably faced a dead-end. "He really overestimates himself, daring to do anything just to catch Miss Miller's attention!"
"I think this guy might end up being beaten to death by Remington. He just spoke offensively and offended Remington too."
"It's one thing to have a garbage mouth, but to actually go and challenge someone?"
