Bernice's mind went blank, and she felt embarrassed as she said, "I thought you would consider our old classmates' friendship..."

Sienna sneered and said, "So what if I bully her? She's incompetent, so she deserves to be bullied, right? If she has the ability, she should be as awesome as Miss Anderson, then I'll immediately try to please her!"

Ethan, who had walked over unnoticed, was holding a tray and calmly said, "You're trying to belittle Bernice, but you really don't deserve to."

Ethan turned his head and earnestly said to Sienna, "You must take responsibility for your words and actions. Apologize to Bernice immediately!"

Bernice abruptly turned around and walked briskly out of the banquet hall.

Staying here would only bring humiliation; why not leave with grace? Once I have enough confidence, I can come back and seek revenge!

"Bernice!" Dorothy hurriedly approached, wanting to console her.

"You don't have to comfort me. I'll go back and calm down first. Don't worry, this slight insult means nothing to me," Bernice said, her eyes turning red, biting her lips until they bled.

Dorothy reluctantly stopped in her tracks, watching Bernice leave.

Bernice turned her head to Ethan and said, "Are you leaving or not?!"

"Huh? I haven't eaten enough yet," Ethan replied, absentmindedly rubbing his stomach.

"You!" Bernice was speechless, fiercely nodded her head, turned around, and walked away without hesitation.

She wanted to remind Ethan not to stay here and invite humiliation upon himself, but she didn't expect Ethan to act like a fool, saying he hadn't eaten enough and wanted to finish before leaving.

"Hahaha, he's too funny. Where did this poor person come from, trying to freeload at the banquet?"

"I have no idea where this poor person came from, it's hilarious... partnering with Bernice, this shameless woman, they really match!"

"Who would come to this level of banquet just to eat and drink?"

Despite the mocking from the elite guests, Ethan remained calm as he picked up a piece of grilled meat and slowly put it in his mouth. He then said to Dorothy, "Just now, she agreed to endorse Bernice, right?"
