Chapter 069 Legs Filling Her Mind

Ethan had Dorothy drive him back home since Bernice had already left. After the dinner ended, he had no ride back.

"I went through all this trouble to drive you home. You should at least treat me to a coffee!" Dorothy said angrily.

Ethan was about to let her leave just like that, which infuriated her even more.

"Fine." Ethan thought for a moment, invited Dorothy inside, and made her a cup of coffee.

Just as Dorothy was about to chat with him, Ethan announced that he was going to take a shower.

Dorothy was on the verge of losing control, tightly clenched her fists, and had the thought of punching Ethan in the face.

When Ethan finished showering and came out, he found that Dorothy had finished her coffee. He furrowed his brow and said, "You're still here?!"

Upon hearing this, Dorothy was close to exploding, but she suppressed her anger and muttered, "Someone's at the door."

"Who is it?" Ethan approached the monitor and glanced at it, then shrugged.

It turned out to be the end.

As expected, it's Diana again!

"She's outside the door, and I dare not go." Dorothy finally found a reason to stay here.

"Fine, suit yourself." Ethan didn't say much and turned off the monitor, half-laying on the sofa.

Dorothy suggested, "Why don't you go out and meet her? Let her know that the person living in this villa is not the one she's looking for, and maybe she won't come again."

Ethan replied, "Why bother going out unnecessarily? Let her run and suffer a bit more. Isn't that good?"

Upon hearing this, Dorothy was completely speechless.

"Sir, one cannot always dwell in the shadows of the past. I believe your fallen comrades wouldn't want to see you indulge in self-pity like this! Please meet me, and I can offer you a chance to shine even brighter!" Diana's voice faintly came through from outside, mistaking the occupant of this villa for the real Oliver.

"But Oliver doesn't want to get involved anymore. He just wants to live the rest of his life peacefully," Ethan sneered after hearing this.

Dorothy couldn't help but ask, "Who is Oliver? How could he make General Walsh personally come here multiple times to seek an audience?"

"Oliver? Just a guy with some mental issues. He often went crazy in prison and, of course, I didn't hesitate to hang him up on a telephone pole and beat him," Ethan thought for a moment and said.

Dorothy was left speechless and didn't know if Ethan was telling the truth or not.

"Wait..." Dorothy stopped Ethan as he was about to go back to his room.

"What is it?" Ethan asked.

"Come over and take a look," Dorothy said gravely, holding up her phone.

Ethan sat down beside her and glanced down at the page on her phone, furrowing his brows involuntarily.

It was the news. Several popular celebrities associated with the Smith Group terminated their contracts at the same time, and Sienna even published a lengthy article criticizing the President of the Smith Group, Bernice, accusing her of wanting to "free-ride" on her by making her endorse the Smith Group for free, and so on.

The comment section was filled with curses, all wishing for the swift bankruptcy of the Smith Group.

"Having so many celebrities terminate their contracts with the Smith Group all at once, this is highly unfavorable for them!" Dorothy looked at Ethan, speaking earnestly.

The two were very close, and Dorothy was wearing a formal dress that exposed her fair thighs slightly, which now lightly touched Ethan's thigh, transmitting a warm sensation.

"It must be Sienna causing all this!" Ethan raised his head and said pensively.

As he lifted his head, his gaze inadvertently fell onto Dorothy.

Dorothy's dress had a crossed front, revealing just enough to be considered seductive.

Dorothy said, "I reckon the Smith Group is going to confront Bernice tomorrow, and you'll need to handle it."

Ethan averted his gaze, coughed, and replied, "I understand. I'll take care of it tomorrow."

Frowning, Dorothy asked, "Why did you cough out of the blue? Are you catching a cold? Should I make some hot water for you?"

"No worries, it's getting late. Let's rest. Each of us should get some sleep," Ethan shook his head, stood up, and went upstairs.

Dorothy was slightly puzzled and returned to her previous room.

Once again lying on the comfortable bed in "Sky Heaven," Dorothy couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. Who would have thought that the person living in this most luxurious villa in all of Boston would be Ethan, a prison guard from a humble background?

"Perhaps, when the final battle between the Tiger Group and the Aim Group is over, he will truly rise to glory," Dorothy silently pondered and soon fell asleep.

Ethan, on the other hand, couldn't sleep, as his mind was filled with the image of the legs he had just seen.

"No wonder those bastards in prison always gather and discuss women for no reason. There must be a reason behind it," Ethan cursed inwardly, deciding to practice his combat skills.

After training in the yard until late at night, exhausting himself completely, he returned to his room and peacefully fell asleep.

"Mr. McKellen, did you not sleep well last night?" Seeing Ethan looking a bit tired the next day, Dorothy couldn't help but ask.

"How can I sleep well when my mind is filled with legs?" Ethan couldn't help but complain, deciding to distance himself from Dorothy, as women only hindered his speed in drawing his sword.

Dorothy looked at Ethan in complete surprise, unable to understand the meaning behind his statement.

Urging Dorothy to quickly pack up and leave the Sky Villa, Ethan immediately headed towards the Smith Group.

"What did you do yesterday? After I left, you actually hit Sienna? Do you know how much trouble this has caused me?" Bernice, upon seeing Ethan, burst into anger and slapped him across the face.

Ethan was not the type to take things lying down. He quickly blocked Bernice's slap and said, "She was bullying you, so what's wrong with me hitting her?"

Bernice felt somewhat touched but mostly filled with anger. She gritted her teeth and said, "Can't you be more mature? Why do you always have to act so impulsively? Do you realize how much trouble this brings to me and my family?"

"Why waste time talking when action is possible?" Ethan let go of Bernice's wrist, somewhat disdainful and puzzled as he retorted.

Bernice angrily said, "Sienna wrote a long post last night accusing the Smith Group of wanting to "free-ride" on her by making her endorse the Smith Group for free. She then used their connections to force all the artists who had a relationship with the Smith Group to terminate their contracts! Now, the reputation of the Smith Group has plummeted, and they are being criticized online. It's unlikely that I'll be able to keep my position as the CEO! Are you satisfied now?"

As they were speaking, the top executives of the Smith Group appeared, with Christine being the first to step forward.

"Bernice, Ethan, what have you two done! You dared to threaten Sienna at the Aim Group's banquet and offended her! Now our company is in chaos, and behind Sienna is the Dragon Chamber of Commerce! Once they make a move, we will be left with only bankruptcy!"
