Chapter 106 Wallet

Bernice didn't say much along the way; she drove directly to the peak of Sky Hill. Here, a solitary villa stood tall, the most conspicuous existence in the entire Sky Villa!
Diana and Michelle were standing at the villa's entrance, shaking their heads and wanting to leave. This was her last visit, apparently, she also felt she wouldn't see Oliver.
However, at this moment, Bernice's car stopped, causing her to pause slightly, and then feel a rush of excitement. When the car door opened, Diana was taken aback. The people getting out of the car were Ethan and Bernice.
"General Walsh!" Upon seeing Diana, Bernice was also taken aback, then quickly greeted her.
"Ms. Bernice." Diana nodded slightly at Bernice, then turned to look at Ethan.
Diana asked indifferently, "What are you doing here?"
Ethan responded coldly, "I'm going home. What's it to you? Can you stop bothering me at my doorstep?"
Upon hearing this, Diana was taken aback yet again, her eyes wide open in shock. Ethan lived here? Otherwise, how would he know she had been here?
Michelle was full of disdain. She had seen Ethan at Sky Villa last time. He also said he was going home, but he was actually delivering food!
This time, for some reason, he came to "Sky Heaven" and had the audacity to claim he was going home?
Bernice awkwardly said, "Mind your attitude!"
She felt somewhat awkward facing Diana, after all, Ethan was the man Diana had kicked out.
Ethan snorted coldly, not saying a word.
"Ethan, when did you become so shameless? Is Sky Heaven your home?" Michelle asked with a cold face.
Bernice didn't speak; she was just watching Ethan. She was full of doubts the entire drive, but she didn't ask a single question, choosing to trust Ethan this time.
Diana was also indifferent. While watching Ethan, her heart was even vaguely filled with anticipation.
Ethan rummaged in his pocket, then paused, saying, "It seems I left my wallet on the cruise ship! The door card... it's in the wallet..."
Upon hearing this, Michelle burst into laughter.
A hint of a smile appeared on Diana's icy face, filled with a bit of scorn, some disdain, and disappointment.
Bernice was completely stunned, and after a while, she sighed quietly.
"I knew it; I knew you would use such a lame excuse! You brought Ms. Bernice here, probably wanting to show off using this villa, right?" Michelle asked with a cold laugh.
Ethan searched both pockets and confirmed that his wallet was indeed left on the cruise ship, saying, "Believe it or not, where I live is none of your business."
Michelle scoffed, saying, "I must say, it's quite disgraceful for a man to stoop to your level."
"Having no real skills, yet talking big all day, making it sound like you're something special."
"Now that your lies can't hold up, you use such a lame excuse; It's laughable!"
Diana put away the strange smile on her face and said calmly, "Ethan, if a man is determined to work hard, even if he can't reach his previous heights, he won't necessarily fall short."
Ethan responded coldly, "Are you teaching me how to do things?"
Diana shook her head, not saying anything further.
Michelle disdainfully said, "Miss is just kindly advising you. You should know, people like you usually don't even have the privilege to see her! It's your good fortune that she's willing to talk to you."
"If I were you, I'd find a job and work honestly."
"Instead of pretending to be a big shot and trying to deceive people."
"Don't you feel ashamed when you're exposed?"
The more Michelle spoke, the more contemptuous her gaze towards Ethan became, as if a high and mighty deity was looking down on a lowly ant.
"Idiot!"
Ethan sneered.
Michelle wanted to explode, but Diana said, "Let's go." After saying this, Diana and Michelle got into the car and left directly.
"This guy is getting more and more unbearable!" Michelle huffed.
Diana sat in the car, closing her eyes to rest, feeling somewhat unhappy. After all, she hadn't been able to see Oliver despite coming here a few times.
After the two left, Bernice turned to Ethan and shook her head, saying, "Ethan, General Walsh is right; you should listen to her."
Ethan helplessly spread his hands, saying, "So you also don't believe that I live here?"
"It doesn't matter where you live; the key is to uphold a sincere and progressive heart. Otherwise, you will always be a waste." Bernice's eyes couldn't hide her disappointment.
Everything that happened on the cruise made her reassess Ethan, so she didn't express a word of doubt on the way to send him back, preparing to trust Ethan once more.
However, after arriving here, she found that Ethan only brought her disappointment. That clumsy and lame excuse was indeed laughable.
"I'll call the Millers to bring my wallet over now!" Ethan said.
"I'm going back first; do as you please!" After saying this, Bernice got into her car, stepped on the gas, and left the peak of Sky Hill without any hesitation.
As she drove, Bernice felt a slight bitterness in her heart. She shook her head helplessly, shaking off the complex emotions from her heart.
This time, she was truly disappointed in Ethan! Ethan's acting was too poor, even performing in front of Diana...
"Forget it, forget it, she never believed me anyway." Ethan helplessly spread his hands and pulled out his phone to call Joseph to inquire about his wallet.
Before he could dial the number, Dorothy B's call came in.
Dorothy started, "Mr. McKellen, did you find out that you don't have the card to enter the house?"
Ethan asked, "How do you know? Is my wallet with you?"
"Yes, after you left, Edwin got off the ship and gave it to me. Where are you? I'll bring it to you right now!" Dorothy said with a chuckle.
"I'm at Sky Heaven." Ethan said, "Come quickly; I'm waiting for you."
After hanging up the phone, a smile appeared on Dorothy's face. She deliberately delayed about twenty minutes before making this call.
‘Do I count as a scheming bitch?’
‘Probably not... If Bernice truly believes Ethan and waits with him at the villa entrance for twenty minutes, then I would lose willingly!’ Dorothy thought to herself.
If she arrived, and Bernice was still there with Ethan, then, she felt she should make a decision.
However, when Dorothy arrived by car, she did not find Bernice.
She only saw Ethan alone, casually sitting on the flower bed at the villa entrance.
His figure seemed somewhat lonely...
