Chapter 110 Mr. Miller
The person on the other end of the phone was taken aback, then said, "I'm sorry, sir, our hotel doesn't deliver takeout."
"Oh? The person who gave me this card said that you could fulfill any request." Ethan frowned slightly.
"Sir, may I ask what your card number is?" The person on the other end hesitated.
Ethan read out the card number, and the person on the other end was startled upon verification.
This card was given to Ethan by Oliver before he left, saying it was a privilege card from the Cloud Grand Hotel. Anyone who held this card was the highest authority in the hotel.
"Sir, please wait a moment; our takeout will be delivered within half an hour!" The other person said.
After hanging up the phone, Ethan said to Dorothy, "They said the takeout will be delivered within half an hour, so just wait patiently."
Max frowned and asked, "Are you sure you dialed the Cloud Grand Hotel's number?"
"Of course." Ethan nodded.
Bull couldn't help but laugh, "Isn't this a joke? The Cloud Grand Hotel, a hotel of this caliber, would actually deliver takeout? Are you kidding me?"
"You didn't just call some random small restaurant, and then put on a show, asking them to deliver takeout, did you?"
"Haha, there's no point in pretending to be something you're not. Eating is just about filling your stomach."
Ethan couldn't be bothered to explain to Bull, who always had feelings for Dorothy. No matter how he looked at it, he didn't like it.
Max wanted to say something, but Dorothy said, "Oh, let's just wait! It's just a meal; why make it so complicated?"
Max also felt that was the case, so he didn't dwell on it any further. Lunch was a small matter, meeting Ruben in the afternoon was the real deal!
After all, the Tiger Group had already made its move. If they didn't resolve it soon, the people in the Bush Group would be in constant fear, and it would be hard to get things done.
Half an hour later, the takeout from the Cloud Grand Hotel was delivered. A group of waiters in white suits walked in, holding silver trays in their hands, with round lids on the trays.
Bull was stunned and said, "They really are from the hotel..."
"Respected sir, your takeout from the Cloud Grand Hotel has arrived, please enjoy." The leader was a middle-aged man who looked like an elite butler. After placing the dishes on the table, he said respectfully to Bull.
"It's not my takeout." Bull was a bit dazed.
"It's mine." Ethan said lightly.
The butler-like man immediately turned around, bowed to Ethan, and said, "I'm terribly sorry; I got the wrong person. Respected sir, please enjoy your meal. We will collect the trays after you finish eating!"
Max and Dorothy were also stunned. This standard was too high, wasn't it?
The servants of the Bush family were also extremely surprised. The quality of these waiters was too high. They all kept their smiles, didn't talk much, and introduced each dish as they uncovered it.
"The Cloud Grand Hotel doesn't deliver takeout; I remember!" Bull stubbornly insisted with an ugly face.
"In theory, we don't deliver. But for some special guests, we do." The butler-like man said seriously, "This gentleman is our esteemed guest at the Cloud Grand Hotel and holds our most prestigious membership card. We will comply with all his requests!"
Bull shook his head repeatedly, saying, "Impossible, absolutely impossible! Even the mayor of Boston can't get takeout from the Cloud Grand Hotel. How could a prison guard like him be qualified to have the Cloud Grand Hotel deliver takeout?!"
The servants all nodded in agreement. If you wanted to eat the food from the Cloud Grand Hotel, you had to go to the hotel. There was absolutely no takeout.
When business was good, you had to wait a month or two to reserve a private room.
Would such a hotel deliver takeout? And to a lowly prison guard?
Bull sneered, "Mr. McKellen is really going to great lengths to pursue Dorothy; you even found a group of actors to cooperate with you, to show off how awesome you are?"
Ethan couldn't be bothered to talk. He waved his hand and said, "The takeout is here, let's eat?"
Max also felt as Bull said. Ethan might have arranged these in advance to attract Dorothy's favor. He must have deceived his daughter! Otherwise, why would his daughter believe the nonsense about Cam Mount becoming a key area for the state?
"Where did you get that card?" Dorothy asked in a low voice.
"It was given to me by a prisoner in the prison. If you like it, I'll give it to you." Ethan said indifferently.
He was always alone and basically had no social obligations, so he didn't mind giving it to Dorothy.
However, Dorothy didn't accept it, feeling that it was enough for him to have this intention. She also playfully pinched his waist.
Ethan couldn't help but frown. He didn't seem to have offended this woman, so why did she pinch him again?
After lunch, Bull glanced at the time and laughed, "My teacher should be free around this time. He can spare five minutes to meet us. Mr. Bush, we have to make good use of these five minutes!"
"Hmm..." Max nodded with a serious expression. He had already put on a well-fitted suit and combed his hair meticulously. He looked very formal.
Bull glanced at Ethan and smiled, "Mr. McKellen, you should come along too. Let's broaden your horizons and see what a real big shot is!"
He intended to use this opportunity to make Ethan realize the gap between them. He wanted Ethan to feel ashamed and get out of Dorothy's life.
Max thought this was a good idea. This man was obviously a fraud, who somehow managed to gain the trust of his usually smart daughter. It would be good for Bull to give him a harsh reality check and make him back off.
"We just saw him yesterday; it's not that big of a deal!" Dorothy commented quietly.
Soon, the group arrived at the entrance of a club.
Bull explained, "My teacher comes here to have coffee and meet friends after lunch every day. Now, it's his rest time. I've already contacted him in advance, and he will give us five minutes!"
On the way in, Ethan was supporting Dorothy, who had twisted her ankle.
Although Bull was quite annoyed, he didn't say anything. He believed that Ethan would naturally realize the difference between them, and Dorothy would definitely understand this too.
"You guys wait here for a while; I'll go in and talk to my teacher." Bull smiled, opened the door to a coffee room, and walked in.
After a moment, Bull came out, nodded at Max, and said, "Mr. Bush, please come in with me."
Max couldn't help but feel excited and said to Dorothy, "Wait for me here until I come out."
Ethan was taken aback. Was Ruben really that important? He didn't seem so yesterday.
"Mr. Miller is actually quite renowned; don't take him lightly." Dorothy said to Ethan.
"Is that so?" Ethan responded indifferently, clearly not taking it seriously.
Dorothy said, "If it weren't for the people from the Watson family causing trouble yesterday, Mr. Miller wouldn't have shown up, and we wouldn't have seen him at all. He's the kind of person who keeps a low profile. To put it dramatically, it's a stroke of luck for ordinary people to meet him!"
"Oh..." Ethan still remained calm.
