Chapter 071 Paying a Visit

Ethan directly brought Bernice to Sienna's residence.

Outside the door, Sienna's hired bodyguards were on guard duty.

"Ethan, can you please not act so impulsively? You've brought me here straight away. What should we do if she doesn't want to see us?" Bernice asked in annoyance, finally coming back to her senses.

"If she doesn't want to see us, then we'll go see her," Ethan replied, looking at Bernice with surprise.

Bernice was speechless. She felt like Ethan and her were not on the same page at all.

When the bodyguard saw them approaching, his expression turned serious. He said, "Stop right there. Who are you people?"

"I'm Bernice, and I came here today specifically to apologize to Sienna," Bernice said, her lips pursed in frustration.

The bodyguard sneered and said, "So you're Bernice, the one who upset Sienna yesterday? I'm sorry, but Sienna said that unless you were kidnapped and kneeling in front of the gate, she won't see you."

Bernice felt embarrassed and didn't know how to respond to that.

Ethan stepped forward and said, "Step aside. We're here to resolve things with Sienna. If she avoids us at this time, then I don't think she can handle the consequences."

The bodyguard's face was filled with sternness as he sneered, "Are you joking with me? Sienna has already imposed sanctions on the Smith Group, and it's you who will suffer. What other consequences can there be? Besides, Sienna made it clear that anyone who wants to see her must kneel! Or can't you understand human language?"

Bernice said, "Please make an exception and let us in."

The bodyguard shook his head and said, "No, you must kneel first before I will notify her."

"What makes a bodyguard act so arrogant?" Ethan couldn't help but laugh.

"I may be a bodyguard, but I'm also Sienna's bodyguard. If you want to see Sienna, you must kneel. Do you two worthless people think it's worth my attention? If you don't kneel, then get lost. I don't have the patience to babble with you here," the bodyguard said coldly.

Ethan laughed and said, "Do you know what it feels like when your head meets the ground?"

The bodyguard's expression grew even colder upon hearing that. He said, "I used to be an elite in a special forces unit, ranking in the top ten in several big competitions. Do you want to experience that feeling? I wouldn't mind."

Seeing Ethan about to resort to violence again, Bernice anxiously said, "Ethan, don't get physical..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Ethan struck directly.

The bodyguard angrily said, "You're asking for it!"

In the instant that Ethan's palm was about to make contact, the bodyguard tried to execute a standard military restraining technique to bring Ethan down to the ground. But before he could get close, Ethan's terrifying brute force went straight through his entire body. With a loud thud, the bodyguard was flipped over and pressed onto the ground by Ethan.

The bodyguard's face collided harshly with the ground, and he was on the verge of passing out.

He covered his nose, crying in pain, and wailed, "How dare you be so arrogant in front of Sienna's gate! Do you know who bought this villa for Sienna? It was Dragon Chamber President David of the Chamber of Commerce!"

Ethan kicked the door open forcefully. "Let's go, what are you standing around for? Aren't you here to solve the problem?" he said indifferently to Bernice, turning his head.

For a moment, Bernice was at a loss, but things had escalated to this point, and she could only follow him into the villa with a determined face.

Naturally, the commotion at the door alerted Sienna, who was in the middle of applying makeup, trying to conceal the bruise on her face. Ethan's slap from yesterday was not light.

"You dare to come to see me, but you don't even kneel and dare to kick my door!" Sienna stood up, her tone filled with shock and anger.

A bitter smile appeared on Bernice's face as she said, "Sienna, please forgive the Smith Group. I'm willing to pay any price to earn your forgiveness."

"Forgive you? Didn't I tell you? I asked you to kneel in front of my house for three days and three nights! If you had knelt for that long, I naturally would have given you a chance to sit down and talk. But since you couldn't even fulfill this simple requirement, why should I forgive you?" Sienna's attitude was aggressive and domineering.

With bitterness, Bernice said, "We were classmates after all. This matter is just a simple request for you, why force me?"

"Classmates? Who are you to mention that? Don't bring up the past to me because it disgusts me. I don't have classmates like you." Sienna sneered coldly.

Ethan gently patted Bernice's shoulder and said, "Enough, Bernice, you don't have to waste words with this scum. Even if you kneeled for three days, she may not be willing to relent!"

Sienna coldly laughed and said, "You're right, even if she kneeled for three days, I still might not agree to a truce!"

Unconsciously, Bernice froze and asked, "What do you want in order to let us go?!"

Sienna's face twisted in a grotesque manner as she said, "Do you know how embarrassed I was at the banquet yesterday? Do you know how much money and reputation I lost by terminating the contract with the Aim Group? Now you dare to tell me to let go of the Smith Group? Impossible! I won't stop until the Smith Group is bankrupt, and I won't allow any of you to have peace!""

Feeling frustrated, Bernice said, "But... it was you who played a prank on me first yesterday!"

"So, what if I played a prank on you? Look at my position now, how can you compare yourself to me? I played with you out of a sense of camaraderie from our school days, teasing you to make you feel my presence! I can toy with you however I want, and you must endure it obediently, even squeezing out a smile to thank me for remembering a nobody like you!

Sienna crossed her arms, mocking Bernice with a disdainful look on her face. "Kneel, kneel now, and grovel before me. I might consider relenting and giving you two conditions. If you can fulfill them, I won't make things difficult for the Smith Group."
