" President, last time the Smith Group supplied us with goods worth a total of twenty million US dollars. However, we rejected their payment request because the quality of the goods was not up to par. The CEO of the Smith Group, Bernice, approached me and asked for my help with this matter..." Jacob began to speak incessantly before anyone else could speak.

Jacob, standing on the side, couldn’t help but feel smug. David always protected his own, even if they were beaten up in front of the Chamber of Commerce for a justified reason, David would still take care of them!

"The President has always been this way, domineering and unyielding. He never listens to explanations."

"Yes, last time someone made a mistake within the Chamber of Commerce and got beaten up by an outsider. But President wasted no time and directly broke the person's hands!"

David's words didn't come as a surprise to the onlookers. It seemed like they had anticipated the situation unfolding this way.

Bernice was frightened by David's imposing presence and instinctively took a few steps back, accidentally bumping into Ethan's arms with a thud.

Ethan reached out to steady Bernice and looked at David with a smirk.

David snorted coldly, lifted his eyelids, and met Ethan's gaze.

As soon as their eyes met, David's body trembled, and his sunglasses almost fell off his face.

"I did my best!" Bernice whispered.

Gritting his teeth, David spoke in a deep voice, “Is that you?”

Ethan nodded with a smile, then squinted his left eye slightly.

David had spent five years in Sydney's prison, how could he not know that the boss liked to make this gesture before dealing with someone!

He still vividly remembered how he was knocked down by Ethan with one hand and with the help of the inmate lackeys, they tied him up and hang him on a telephone pole for three days and nights.

Due to Ethan's peculiar "quirk" of suspending people, the inmates were intimidated by it. Plus, they had all suffered from it. So, they were more than willing to lend a hand and straighten out the disobedient newcomers.

Of course, David didn't think that just because he was released and his power had grown, he could challenge Ethan boldly.

Ethan, who could easily handle those ferocious convicts, who would dare to mess with him?

David had Jacob crying and begging for mercy, curling up on the ground, shouting, "President, I won't dare anymore. Please forgive me. Give me another chance!"

The people around were dumbfounded. The plot twist was too sudden!

As David kicked Jacob, his back was covered in cold sweat. He could only continue to pretend not to know Ethan, wearing a righteous expression, and berating Jacob for his crimes while kicking him harshly.

‘He even dared to hit the Boss's wife!’ David wished he could just kill Jacob right there.

Bernice was stunned, her eyes widened, unable to believe what she was seeing.
