Chapter 109 Takeout
Ethan's words once again drew laughter from everyone. Bull was the one who laughed the loudest. He shook his head and said, "I've been in the economic field for so many years. I'm usually one of the first to know if anything happens. Where did you get the news that the state would prioritize the planning of Cam Mount, Mr. McKellen? Do you have someone working close to the governor?"
The servants of the Bush family all looked at Ethan with disdain, obviously not believing him. The people running the state weren't idiots, why would they choose Cam Mount as a planning area? What good was planning in a deserted place like that?
Of course, Ethan wouldn't tell them about what Joseph told him. He had given them a hint, if they didn't believe it, then so be it.
Ella, on the other hand, had no doubt about him. After he mentioned the land at Cam Mount, she took it to heart and secretly used her spare money to buy a wave of it. The Aim Group's spare money was in the billions.
"Let's talk about how to solve the hostility of the Tiger Group towards our Bush Group first," Max shook his head, knowing how to prioritize.
Realizing that her father didn't believe him, Dorothy couldn't help but frown. Was Ethan really that untrustworthy? Anyway, she had complete faith in Ethan.
Bull intentionally asked Ethan, "Do you have any good suggestions, Mr. McKellen?"
Ethan said, "The Tiger Group is currently wrestling with the Aim Group. The threat to the Bush Group is just a way to gain benefits. They may not necessarily have the time to actually do it. The Bush Group only needs to get some promising future projects or connect with some influential bigwigs to deter the Tiger Group."
Max said, "I didn't expect you to have some insights."
Bull said, "How about this, after lunch, I'll take you, Mr. Bush, to meet my teacher. He will definitely help you as a courtesy to me!"
"Your teacher?" Max's expression became serious and heavy.
"My teacher is usually very busy, but he will spare the time for me. Maybe he can give us five minutes to meet. Whether we can negotiate depends on the cooperation between you and me, Mr. Bush!" Bull said.
"Good, I've wanted to meet Ruben for a long time. I hope I can seize this opportunity. If he makes a move, the Tiger Group won't dare to do anything!" Max said excitedly.
Ethan couldn't help but ask, "Ruben?!"
Bull frowned and looked over, "Do you know my teacher?"
"Mr. Bush, if you want to see Ruben, there's no need for all this trouble. I can just make a call and get him to help. He owes me a favor from yesterday!" Ethan said with a smile.
"Look at yourself in the mirror before you brag. How could someone like Ruben owe you a favor?"
"This guy is blowing his own trumpet again... Hahaha, Ruben owes him a favor, then the governor owes me a favor!"
He really wasn't afraid of putting his foot in his mouth, he dared to say anything!
When the servants heard what Ethan said, they couldn't help but discuss it. They all laughed and shook their heads. How could someone like Ruben owe a prison guard a favor?!
Bull said with a cold laugh, "I don't know where you heard that Ruben is my teacher, but saying that my teacher owes you a favor is too ridiculous!"
"The Miller family is a powerful family! My teacher is a billionaire, and his brother is the mayor of Boston!"
"Do you think there's anything the Miller family can't handle that they would need a prison guard like you to handle?"
Max also shook his head and ignored Ethan. He said to Bull, "Later, you can take me to meet Ruben directly."
Bull agreed loudly.
"Dad, Ruben really owes Ethan a favor; I saw it yesterday!" Dorothy whispered to her father.
"Alright, I know you don't like Bull, but he's sincerely helping me through this difficult time!"
"If you do believe such nonsense about Cam Mount being a priority for the state, then I don't know what to say to you!"
"I know what you're thinking. You brought this guy here mostly to deal with the Tiger Group, right? But, Dad, I have to say, you picked the wrong person. This guy is useless..."
"After Bull helps me through this difficulty, you must seriously consider dating him. Otherwise, don't blame me for stirring things up!"
Max waved his hand and directly interrupted Dorothy's remaining sentence. He was very domineering, leaving her speechless.
Dorothy pursed her lips and said to Ethan, "My dad doesn't believe you, but he trusts Bull completely. Don't be angry..."
"Don't worry, it doesn't matter how he sees me. I will help your family through this difficult time." Ethan smiled and said calmly.
"Thank you!" Dorothy felt warm in her heart. She thought Ethan was a good person and was determined to speed up her offensive and win him over as soon as possible.
‘Bernice, I can only apologize to you. You didn't believe in him and gave up a gem in the rough.’ She thought to herself, feeling somewhat smug about her own discernment.
Not long after, a servant ran out and said, "Sir, the house's gas pipeline is broken. I'm afraid we won't be able to cook lunch today."
Max couldn't help but frown. He glanced at the time and said, "Then let's go out to eat. Come on, Bull, I'll treat you to a meal at the Cloud Grand Hotel."
"Considering the time, I'm afraid we won't make it, right? And it's not even certain if we can get a table!" Dorothy also checked the time.
Max was taken aback, indeed, the Cloud Grand Hotel was very popular, and with the time being tight, going there for a meal would delay his meeting with Ruben!
"Isn't it simple? Just order takeout." Ethan chimed in.
"Takeout? That's too disrespectful to the guests. It's not up to standard." Max frowned.
"Just have the Cloud Grand Hotel deliver the takeout." Ethan said nonchalantly.
"Hahaha..."
"Ordering takeout from the Cloud Grand Hotel? What nonsense is this guy talking about?"
"What kind of place is the Cloud Grand Hotel? They never deliver takeout. This guy, he's such a bumpkin!"
"A bumpkin is a bumpkin. He can even suggest something as ridiculous as ordering takeout from the Cloud Grand Hotel. What a clown..."
Dorothy also felt embarrassed; she lightly pinched Ethan and whispered, "The Cloud Grand Hotel maintains its high standard by not offering delivery. Even for takeout from the hotel, it must be leftovers or half-eaten meals due to sudden matters. They don't allow takeout for freshly made dishes..."
Bull also couldn't help but look at Ethan with contempt. This guy was a real bumpkin; he could say anything.
"Mr. Bush, let's just eat something casually outside. After we finish, I'll take you to meet my teacher!" Bull laughed.
Ethan, however, had already taken out his phone, shook his head, and said, "How could a hotel not deliver takeout? You wait, I'll make a call and ask!"
As he spoke, he took out a card from his wallet. Dorothy didn't see clearly what it was.
Ethan dialed the number on the card and said straight away, "Is this the Cloud Grand Hotel? I need to entertain guests here; can you arrange some dishes for takeout and deliver them here!"
