Chapter 108 Have You Lost Your Mind?
Dorothy didn't know how long she had kept her eyes closed as she endured Ethan's onslaught. It was as domineering as his "Half-Step Crushing Fist". It wasn't until she was almost out of breath that she abruptly pushed him away and, blushing, hurried back into the room, slamming the door shut.
Ethan sat on the couch, stunned for nearly ten minutes. Then, he touched his lips and grumbled, "Why did she bite me?!" However, everything that had just happened was worth savoring for him. Her tender lips were soft and bouncy, like jelly. Her sweet, soft tongue was smooth and left no aftertaste... Everything was so wonderful.
‘I should have left the Sydney prison a few years earlier!’ Ethan thought to himself. The more he thought about it, the more upset he became.
‘No wonder men went crazy for soft, beautiful women!’
‘Am I the fool here?’ He couldn’t stop his racing thoughts.
Ethan had a restless night and even got up to take several cold showers; he nearly caught a cold. The next day, he got up, feeling tired, to see Dorothy sneakily coming out of the bathroom downstairs, wrapped only in a bath towel.
"Pervert, were you peeping?" Dorothy scolded angrily when she saw Ethan.
"No," Ethan coughed and turned his head away. But those white, beautiful legs were really attractive...
That morning, Dorothy noticed that Ethan seemed a bit shy when facing her. Sometimes he even blushed and wasn't as articulate as usual.
‘He's just a naive prison guard who hasn't seen the world. Humph, he will eventually fall for me!’ Dorothy thought proudly.
However, Dorothy didn't have a great night either. She tossed and turned for a long time. If it weren't for her makeup in the morning, her dark circles would have been impossible to hide.
"Hey, Mr. McKellen, be more open-minded. It was just a kiss; what's the big deal?" Dorothy slapped Ethan's shoulder and laughed heartily.
"Haha..." Ethan could only laugh awkwardly, unable to respond.
His rare, embarrassed expression only made Dorothy feel more triumphant. Finally, there was a time when this guy was at a disadvantage!
Ethan helped a limping Dorothy into the car and drove her home.
"Hey, Dad?" Dorothy answered a call from her father, Max, in the car.
"Dorothy... Why didn't you come home last night? Where were you?" Max asked.
"Oh... I was at Ms. Miller's birthday party last night, and I drank too much, so I stayed at Bernice's house." Dorothy lied without hesitation.
Max didn't ask any more questions, "Well, you should come home quickly. We have a guest, Bull."
Dorothy suddenly didn't want to go home. Bull was a suitor highly praised by her father, who hoped Dorothy would marry him.
However, Dorothy didn't want that, so she had to keep putting him off.
Ethan drove Dorothy home and, seeing that she still couldn’t put much pressure on her foot, had to help her into the house.
Max, a man in his fifties, saw his daughter being helped by a stranger and his face immediately changed. He coldly said, "Who are you?"
"He's my friend, Ethan. I hurt my foot and asked him to take me home," Dorothy said.
At this point, Bull, who was sitting on the couch, stood up. After seeing Dorothy being supported by Ethan, he quickly came over and said, "Bro, let me help!"
Ethan frowned but didn't let go, directly helping Dorothy to sit on the couch.
Bull's face showed a hint of displeasure.
Ethan glanced at Bull, who was dressed casually in all new Armani, even his watch was Vacheron Constantin, so he was obviously an elite.
Bull also glanced at Ethan, who was dressed ordinarily. There was nothing remarkable about him; he had no watch and even had calluses between his fingers. He was obviously a man who did hard work.
‘Not worth mentioning.’ A hint of amusement flashed in Bull's mind. He thought Ethan was nothing in front of him, no competition at all.
Max completely ignored Ethan; he didn't even bother to greet him and said to Dorothy, "Recently, the Tiger Group has been hinting that you've offended them, and they're planning to move against the Bush Group!"
"I sent someone to negotiate, but they were kicked out!"
"The Tiger Group is powerful and rich; we can't compete with them..."
Dorothy was taken aback; she didn't expect the Tiger Group's retaliation to come so quickly.
They targeted the Bush Group because of the last time she had dinner with Ethan, right?
Edwin completely lost Tom's dignity, who came out halfway, and he must find a way to regain his status.
"No problem; I already have a plan!"
"Ethan promised to give me a hundred acres of land for development. Now the Tiger Group is confronting the Aim Group and they dare not make any big moves for fear of being caught off guard!"
"We'll let this news out then, and they'll naturally back down."
"Dad, don't worry!"
Dorothy said with a confident expression, smiling slightly.
Bull was startled when he heard this and turned to look at Ethan.
This guy had a hundred acres of land? And he was giving it to the Bush Group for development? Was he a secret tycoon? Was he that awesome?
Max couldn't help asking, "A hundred acres? Where?"
"Cam Mount." Dorothy said.
"Pfft!"
Bull burst out laughing.
Max was also dumbfounded, doubting whether his daughter's brain had gone bad.
"Hahaha, a hundred acres of Cam Mount? I'm afraid that’s not even worth a hundred square feet of New Age Mansion! I thought Mr. McKellen could bring out a hundred acres of land from somewhere better!" Bull shook his head.
Max also gave Ethan a cold glance and snorted loudly from his nose, thinking that Dorothy was probably deceived.
Bull looked at Ethan and said, "I see Mr. McKellen is dressed ordinarily, and there are calluses on his hands, most likely from doing a lot of farm work, right? You're not afraid of being scolded by your relatives for giving away the land your family uses for farming?"
As he said this, he couldn't help but laugh. His laugh was tinged with a hint of disdain and mockery.
Ethan calmly said, "I'm a prison guard, not a farmer. That land, I purchased it."
"Have you lost your mind? Buying land in Cam Mount? Are you planning to conveniently build a prison there, execute death row inmates, and provide a one-stop service?" Max spoke up directly.
Even the servants of the Bush family couldn't help but laugh softly at this point as they whispered to each other.
"I know about Cam Mount; it used to be used specifically for executing death row inmates, and it's said to be haunted often."
"That kind of ghost place... I bet nobody even goes near that place yet he actually went to buy land there? His brain must have gone bad!"
"I don't know what's wrong with the young lady, being friends with such a fool; isn't she afraid of being laughed at?"
Ethan said calmly, "This piece of land will be designated as a key development project by the state in the future. You will know how valuable the land there is by then!"
