Chapter 130 Harmony Within the Family
"No. I barely made contact with Kevin yesterday through our company's online reservation system. I don't know him personally," Violet said, blushing shyly as she quickly defended herself against her colleagues' teasing.
"Violet, you're really lucky. I wouldn't have thought that just after four or five days here, you'd run into such a good customer. This commission won't be small."
"Develop a good relationship with this customer, and who knows, he might come back to buy cars again."
"Violet, did you ask if Kevin is married? If he's at most 30 years old and if you can hook such a tycoon, you'll achieve financial freedom in the future."
"That kind of naive nouveau riche is actually the easiest to catch. Violet, you have to cherish this opportunity."
Two female sales associates, envious and chattering incessantly beside Violet, speaking inadvertently, yet Violet, pure at heart, absorbed it all.
Pansea Hotel was not far from the 4S Shop. Upon driving to the hotel, Kevin promptly had the hotel staff, who had been arranged the day before, place his car on the first floor of the banquet hall and then decorate it with various ornaments prepared in advance.
After instructing the hotel staff on the evening's arrangements, Kevin went to a nearby restaurant and grabbed a bowl of noodles for dinner.
It was already past one in the afternoon when he came back home. Lillian, accompanied by her three daughters, had also finished shopping in the mall.
As Kevin entered the house, Lillian and her three daughters were chatting in the living room. On the coffee table lay an array of gifts purchased by the daughters for their mother.
Seeing Kevin, Lillian immediately stood up with a smile, "Kevin, where have you been? Have you eaten yet? Come over here; I've got you your favorite coffee and sushi."
Lillian was adorned in a new outfit today, her hair styled meticulously. Her luscious dark wavy locks pulled up into a bun, exuding charm and allure. Coupled with her voluptuous figure and fragrant perfume, Kevin couldn't help but cast an envious gaze her way.
"Mom, I've got everything ready for tonight. We're going to Pansea Hotel for dinner, and today we're going to celebrate your birthday properly. You've been laborious over the years," said Kevin, touched as he took a sip of the coffee from Lillian's hand, affectionately holding Lillian's hand with a smile.
"Why go somewhere so expensive? I can just cook something at home. That's too extravagant! "Lillian protested verbally, yet inside, she was so happy, watching her son-in-law with growing satisfaction and fondness.
"Mom, no wonder you're treating Kevin better than us. If I were you, I'd also favor such a good son-in-law," Sofia playfully said, watching Kevin and sticking her tongue out at him.
Kevin noticed that Sofia's fondness for him had risen again. It was now 95%, only a step away from 100%.
Meanwhile, Scarlett blushed happily, her eyes brimming with proud affection as she looked at Kevin. Her husband was now so endearing to her mother, which greatly pleased Scarlett and left her utterly satisfied with Kevin.
Only Natalie sat silently apart, her gaze toward Kevin piercing, as if she could see through everything, making Kevin feel uneasy.
In this family, Natalie was a ticking bomb. Kevin always felt that one day she might explode, exposing his hideous misdeeds for all to see, leaving him with nowhere to hide.
Kevin was eager to mend his relationship with Natalie, yet he was at a loss on how to proceed.
Natalie was exceedingly vigilant towards him, and her intelligence made her immune to both hard and soft tactics. At a loss, Kevin could only worry silently.
"Kevin, you've worked hard. Take a seat and have some fruit to relax," Lillian said with concern, pulling Kevin to the couch and affectionately cutting him a slice of watermelon as if they were biological family.
Scarlett also tenderly speared a piece of cantaloupe with a toothpick and fed it to Kevin.
Surrounded by four beautiful women, immersed in the harmonious and sweet atmosphere of home, Kevin was enraptured, his heart swelling with warmth.
At that moment, a sudden honk of a car horn echoed from behind the door. Scarlett promptly rose with a smile, announcing to the others, "It must be Aunt and Uncle. I'll go let them in."
With that, Scarlett, filled with a hint of excitement, made her way into the garage.
The rest of the family stood up, following her to the back door.
As the garage door opened, the doors of an old Honda swung open, and a young woman and a teenage girl stepped out.
The young woman carried a large bag of gifts, while the girl seemed shy, her head bowed, displaying a hint of bashfulness and restraint.
"Aunt Clara, Hannah. You've finally arrived! I've missed you so much!" Scarlett eagerly went forward, embracing Clara, who was carrying a large bag of presents, saying excitedly.
