Chapter 179 Mother-in-Law’s Display of Authority

Despite his good temper, starting today, if you dare to speak to your brother-in-law in that manner again, you can just get out. Consider yourself disowned by me as if I had no daughter like you!"
"No!" Kevin's heart sank as he watched the already somewhat uncontrollable Natalie sweating profusely out of fear.
In this situation, given Natalie's stubborn nature, she would undoubtedly reveal what happened that night despite her vague recollection. Even if she only had a faint inkling of it that night, just that tiny bit would be enough to make Kevin incredibly uncomfortable.

Pushing Kevin aside, Lillian grabbed Natalie's hand and scolded angrily, "Stop crying! Is crying all it takes to make up for a mistake? How many times have I taught you this? Apologize to your brother-in-law immediately!"
Looking into her mother's angry eyes, Natalie shivered involuntarily. Under Kevin's somewhat incredulous gaze, Natalie wiped her tears, pouted, and reluctantly said with a lowered head, "Sorry, Kevin, I was wrong. I won't do it again in the future."

"If I hear you speaking rudely to your brother-in-law again, or if I find out you're saying bad things about him, you know the consequences," Lillian added, still somewhat exasperated as she looked at Natalie. "Alright, I have to go to work now. Follow your brother-in-law! Behave yourself! Tonight, when I come back, I will ask your brother-in-law about your behavior today!"
"I got it," Natalie grumbled, nodding reluctantly.
Watching Natalie cower under Lillian's authority, Kevin couldn't help but sigh. Indeed, one entity could suppress another. Conquering the mother-in-law first was indeed the right move. With the mother-in-law aiding him in suppressing these three sisters, not only did his status rise in this family, but maneuvering the two sisters also seemed to become simpler and more convenient.
