Chapter 17 A Deposit of One Hundred Thousand Dollars From PayPal
"Kevin? What's wrong? Is there something wrong with me?" Sofia looked at herself curiously and inquired.
Perhaps because Kevin had offered to take her out for a meal, Sofia, the younger sister-in-law, instead of getting angry, blushed shyly.

"It's nothing. You are so pretty and adorable, and you will get married someday. I just hate to see you leave this family," said Kevin as he stood up. It sounded just like the heartfelt concern of a brother, without any impropriety.
Sofia smirked proudly and chirped, "Then I'll do just like my sister and have my future husband marry into our family."
"Your boyfriend is a young man from a rich clan. How could he agree to marry into the family like I did? Don't you see how much I had to suffer being a live-in son-in-law?" Kevin said with a chuckle, shaking his head. He then opened the passenger door for Sofia, saying, "Please, our future star first!"
Upon hearing Kevin mention 'future star,' Sofia put on a sad look, and she became soulless, staring ahead blankly.
"Kevin, I've been thinking I should just give up. It's wrong to let my parents spend so much money for me to attend that private audition. Since nobody supports me, I'll quit. Perhaps I was only meant to be an ordinary office worker."
"Dreams are just a joke in front of reality!" As soon as they got into the car, Sofia turned her head to the side, uttering these words with gloom and loss in her voice.
Kevin noticed that tears had surprisingly escaped from Sofia.
Seeing the beautiful and lively Sofia in tears, Kevin was both pained and overjoyed.
This was the moment when a woman was most emotionally vulnerable and in need of care and support, a rare opportunity that, naturally, he had to seize well!
"Foolish girl, who says nobody supports you? Didn't I tell you that I understand you and I will always support you? If you have dreams, you chase them! I've got everything else covered! If they don't support you, I will!" Kevin smiled as he took out his phone, opened PayPal, and comforted Sofia.
"Thank you, Kevin." Sofia intended to say his support alone was useless but swallowed back these potentially hurtful words when she thought about them.
At that moment, Sofia's phone vibrated shockingly.
"One hundred thousand dollars received from PayPal!"
Sofia jerked in disbelief, pulled her phone out of her pocket, and stared at the notification in astonishment.
[Your friend Kevin has transferred one hundred thousand dollars to you.] She gasped in shock, her eyes widening as she took a deep breath.
"Kevin! What is this?" For a moment, Sofia was at a loss for words.
A mix of excitement and gratitude towards Kevin surged within her, leaving her unsure how to express her heartfelt thanks and emotion.
"I said I would support you, and it wasn't just false. Give this money to your instructor, and I'll accompany you to the audition! I'll shoulder any difficulties that come our way!" Kevin said gently as he revealed a tender smile, naturally reaching out to wipe the tears from Sofia's face.
His gesture was natural and considerate, like an elder brother lovingly caring for his sister, and Sofia didn't overthink it, allowing Kevin's hand to meet her cheek softly.
After this first intimate contact, the relationship between them warmed considerably.
Sofia's skin was silky and tender, flawlessly fair and smooth, and even without makeup, it was free of imperfections. Kevin was indeed intoxicated by the feeling of it beneath his touch.
