Chapter 146 You Teach Me
The two sisters had always been competitive, and now it was obvious that Scarlett had gained the upper hand by having Kevin as her good husband. She was constantly in the limelight, and even their mother, Lillian, had become a lot more partial to her because of her son-in-law's influence.
This made Sofia increasingly possess the crazy idea of snatching Kevin away.
The initial guilt and moral shame Sofia felt towards her sister, along with a sense of sin, gradually disappeared from her heart. She thought, ‘It looks like you're so proud of your husband, then I'll snatch him right out of your hands.’
A wicked thought suddenly emerged in Sofia's mind, but immediately, out of shame and fear, she suppressed it deep within.
However, the seed had been sown, and whether it was buried under a stone or soil, in time, it would inevitably germinate. "Mom, I didn't mean that," Scarlett, reprimanded by her mother, immediately defended herself in a grievance. "I was just trying to understand how Kevin suddenly became so wealthy."
"Didn't Kevin make it abundantly clear just now? This is all hard-earned by him! What more is there to ask? Today, Kevin put in so much effort to make us happy and to ensure Mom has a joyful birthday. You all don't understand or appreciate it. Instead of being grateful, you keep bombarding him with questions. What's the point of that? And as for Cody, Marshall, the people at Uncle's house, and your niece, none of them are good people. They simply can't stand to see us doing better than them!" Lillian continued sternly scolding Scarlett.
"Okay, Mom, I won't ask anymore." Scarlett was obedient. Under her mother's scolding, she quickly relented and could only pout, shooting a fierce glare at the snickering Kevin.
Two sisters, plus a mother-in-law, all jealous of him - Kevin felt incredibly satisfied.
To have three beauties compete for his affection was blissful for Kevin. All his previous efforts were worth it at this moment. However, the only headache was his young sister-in-law, Natalie.
Kevin always felt as if Natalie, his little sister-in-law, was like a ticking time bomb, liable to explode at any moment. This didn't allow him the luxury of relaxation; he had to stay vigilant about his every word and deed.
By the time they reached home, it was past 9 p.m. After Lillian parked the car in the garage, Scarlett, Sofia, and Natalie, who all had a bit to drink, were somewhat exhausted as they stepped out of the car.
"Kevin, let's go to our room; I have something to talk to you about," Scarlett whispered, with a hint of displeasure, giving Kevin a pointed look before speaking to him softly.
"Alright, once we're in the room, the queen can lecture her servant all she wants," Kevin replied with a chuckle. He wrapped his arm around Scarlett and prepared to follow Sofia and Natalie upstairs.
"Kevin, wait a moment. The car is too complicated, and there's a lot I don't understand. Come teach me, and after I learn, then you can go up," Lillian called from the driver's seat, smiling and gesturing toward Kevin.
"Alright, Mom," Kevin answered, already very excited inside. He gave Scarlett a playful pat on her behind and softly said, "You go take a bath first. I'll teach Mom how it functions, and then I'll come up."
"Come up quickly, got it?" Scarlett said with a playful reprimand, turning and walking upstairs with a sway.
Watching his wife head upstairs and finding himself alone with his mother-in-law in the garage, Kevin's heart started pounding with excitement at the thought of having reached 100% intimacy with Lillian. He could scarcely contain his trembling.
He opened the car door, managed to restrain his excitement, sat down in the passenger seat, and smiled, "Mom, whatever you don't understand, I'll teach you."
As Kevin sat next to her, Lillian's cheeks immediately blushed, and even her breathing began to hasten uncontrollably. Her heart fluttered, pounding wildly with nervousness.
"Kevin, what is this thing for?" At this moment, Lillian lost all earlier maternal dignity. Alone with Kevin, she exuded the coy charm and shyness of a young woman.
"Mom, this is the gear shift paddle," Kevin said as he reached out naturally to hold Lillian's hand on the steering wheel, used his index finger to lift her fingertip, and gently moved it over the paddle. He explained, "This is for manual gear shifting, but it's not really necessary. You don't need to bother with it. Now, look at this. This is the cruise control, which is very useful for highway driving."
As Kevin held her hand, Lillian's body tensed, and a feeling of excitement she couldn't explain leaped in her heart. It was as if something was gently plucking at her heartstrings, leaving her restless and flustered. She couldn't help but sneak glances at Kevin, who was smiling and explaining, and she felt utterly entranced.
Suddenly, Lillian felt the urge to embrace Kevin, but the guilt towards her husband and daughter, along with the shame of the incestuous feelings, made her forcefully suppress her desires.
