Chapter 19 A Generous Shopping Spree
"Alright, let me package it up for you right away, young lady. Don't be shy; it's perfectly normal for you to be in love at your age. Look, your boyfriend is really nice to you; you both truly make an outstanding pair, a wonderful match," said the middle-aged saleswoman, adept at flattery and with a bit too much to say. However, Kevin grew more satisfied the longer he listened.
"No! Kevin! This dress is too expensive! You have already lent me one hundred thousand dollars; I can't let you spend any more!" Sofia, embarrassed by the saleswoman's comments, felt guilty for making Kevin spend further and, quite unconsciously, embraced Kevin's arm and pulled it into her chest.
Kevin was taken aback, feeling his arm brushing against a soft fullness.
Sneakily, he glanced at Sofia's chest. Although Sofia was younger than Scarlett, Sofia's figure was noticeably more voluptuous.
Perhaps due to her regular dancing and fitness routines, her figure was firm and well-defined, with two prominent breasts that trembled with her movements, stirring a restless itch in Kevin's heart.
"Don't worry about it; it's just a piece of clothing. My book is becoming popular; earning tens of thousands of dollars in a month is now feasible, so this expense is nothing," Kevin said with a laugh, naturally patting Sofia's jade-like hand.

"What's there to say? When my book is published and adapted into TV shows and movies, and I've acquired luxurious properties and cars, everyone will naturally understand me. The same goes for you; I believe, in the future, you will surely become a big star as well," Kevin said with a shake of his head, pretending to be nonchalant.
In truth, when Kevin had been scolded by his father-in-law the day before, he had been destitute, unable to even secure a contract for his book, utterly down on his luck.
Having no arguments to defend himself then, if he had this million earlier, surely, he would have used it to throw in his father-in-law’s face. But now, the past was the past, and one million dollars would not have the same effect to impress as it would then.
He thought, ‘After I capture Sofia's heart and receive the divine reward of that prophetic masterpiece, it will not be too late to show off and strike back!’
"Miss, your clothes have been packed, and that’ll be 340 dollars. Will you be paying by card or cash?" The saleswoman looked at Kevin eagerly, a knowing smile on her face.
Kevin looked somewhat older than he was in his actual years. Sofia, however, looked like an eighteen- or nineteen-year-old college student. Their pairing could easily be mistaken for a rich man with his mistress, which was quite common.
"Pay with PayPal." Kevin was only rich inside his PayPal account.
"Payment of 340 dollars received through PayPal."
As the cashier at the clothing store announced the transaction, Kevin took over the bag from the saleslady and handed it to Sofia. "Now, it's yours."

"Sofia, look at that! There’s an LV boutique here. I was thinking of buying a belt; let's go have a look.” Kevin feigned surprise, pointing at the LV boutique. He took Sofia’s hand and walked towards the boutique as if it was a natural thing.
Sofia gasped in shock, as this was the first time a man other than her father had held her hand.
Initially, Sofia wanted to pull away, but seeing Kevin's natural demeanor, much like that of a brother naturally holding his sister's hand, she only pursed her lips shyly and accepted it.
Although she had been in a relationship with her boyfriend Hunter for over half a year and their relationship had always been tepid, Sofia, being conservative by nature, made it so that Hunter hadn't even managed to hold her hand. Now, Kevin had taken the lead and held Sofia's hand before Hunter could.
