Chapter 209 Taking You Out to Play

"Harris, why did you let them go?" Grace immediately followed up with dissatisfaction as she saw Harris release Kevin after only a brief talk.

"Damm it. What makes you think you can tell me how to handle my business?" Harris's face turned icy as he glared at Grace, instantly silencing her with a fear that sent her stumbling backward two steps.

"Harris, don't be so hot-tempered. You must have your reasons for doing it. We'll just follow your lead." Amelia was clearly more adept at dealing with people, immediately trying to smooth things over with Harris with a laugh.

"And what about you, Grace?" Harris turned to Grace with a smile.
Harris was the top boss of the delinquents outside the school and was highly respected in the schools in the surrounding area.

Especially after winning a decisive battle against another group of delinquents and retaliating by breaking a student's hand, he became a terror to the students, instilling fear in them.

Grace, initially timid and somewhat introverted, excelled in academics from a young age and never intended to mix with such social delinquents.

A few months ago, Grace had offended a girl from another class who threatened to confront her after school. Fearful, Grace turned to Amelia for help and was introduced to Harris.

During that incident, Harris and Amelia not only helped her regain her dignity but also gave the offending girl a taste of her own medicine.

Grace then developed a liking for the spotlight that came with associating with Amelia and the others. She ventured out with Harris and his crew often.

Initially reveling in the power and bullying other girls at school under the protection of this group, Grace now harbored some regrets.

Today, were it not for her desire to witness Natalie's embarrassment, to satiate her jealousy, and relish the feeling of having Natalie underfoot, she would not have come.

In Grace's view, as a bright Stanford University-bound student with a promising future, she saw no need for close ties with these delinquents.

Once in college, such brawls should be a thing of the past.

Therefore, Grace now sought to sever ties with this group of delinquents and distance herself from them.

"Harris, I have something to attend to, so I won't be able to join you tonight," Grace meekly declined with lowered eyes.

"Grace! Looks like you look down on my kind!" Harris immediately narrowed his eyes, his expression turning darker as he stared at Grace.

"No, Harris! I would never look down on you guys," Grace quickly shook her head in fear, offering an explanation.

"Grace, we're about to graduate, and it's rare for Harris to invite us out. You have to show some respect. If it weren't for Harris last time, you could have been in serious trouble. A lot of people wanted to see you embarrassed. You are aware of that, aren’t you? Today is a rare chance for us to have fun. You got into Stanford University this time, while my grades can only get me into a technical school. Who knows when we'll be able to reunite again?" Amelia quickly added, persuading Grace.

"Grace, come on. We've been friends for so long. It's going to be hard to meet up in the future," the delinquent with black hair also chimed in with a smile.

"Alright, but I need to get home early," Grace shyly muttered, nervously fiddling with her clothes.
"Okay, let's go eat first! Then we'll hit the ice skating rink later and head to the bar," Harris, upon hearing Grace's agreement, smirked and ushered everyone into his car.

Meanwhile, Kevin, who had already taken Natalie to a nearby hotel for dinner, sat contentedly while gazing out at the beautiful scenery.

Kevin was in a good mood today.

Having encountered Stella, a top-tier socialite, he felt a sense of accomplishment, even if it was indirect.

Encountering such an elite socialite was beyond the reach of an ordinary person like himself. Let alone getting intimate, even shaking hands, was a far-fetched idea.

Moreover, Kevin had acquired enough compromising photos and videos to blackmail Stella.
Although the situation with the delinquents had left Kevin somewhat displeased, the thought of Amelia and Grace possibly facing the consequences made him feel even better.

‘I wonder if those troublemakers can handle those two girls,’ Kevin thought to himself, glancing over at Natalie, who was blissfully enjoying the cuisine.
