Chapter 37
“Do you still not know how to teleport?” He asked. I shook my head as I looked up at him. He then sighed. “Tell your siblings to teach you. I’m sure you know that you have undiscovered powers that are yet to be discovered.”
“Wait, what— I thought only.”
But before I could finish my sentence, we were both sucked in the same cloud of smoke with the same dizzying and tugging feeling within my chest until we appeared in a huge house with soaring ceilings and glass windows.
I soon realized that we were in a bedroom since there was a king-sized bed behind us with a built-in closet and some desks. The room was empty with no personal belongings, so I was guessing that it was a guest room.
“Stay here. He doesn’t know that I have company.” He instructed. Before he left the room, he turned around and added, “Would you like to listen in on our conversation? See how I make deals with mortals?”
I nodded and shrugged at the same time, unsure of my response. Did I really want to witness something like that? “Sure, I guess.” The curiosity had gotten the best of me. I just hoped I didn’t regret that decision.
I watched as he brought his hands to hold both sides of my head, closing his eyes and muttering something in Latin until I realized that he was putting spell on me. My vision went black, and I gasped, but after a few seconds, my vision returned once again, and I felt the same as I always did.
“What did you do?” I asked.
“Just tune in to my voice and focus. You’ll soon figure out to listen from a distance and see us.” He replied as he turned around and left the room, leaving me all alone in silence yet I can clearly hear the footsteps echoing outside. It was like we had the same ears.
I jumped in surprise when I heard commotion by the bed. I turned around and saw my three immortal siblings, toppling on top of each other and Yoongi laughing on top of the two who were groaning. Irene was squished in between them while Taehyung groaned out angrily who seemed to be squished at the bottom. “Bout time,” I muttered.
I had to giggle as I neared them and helped Yoongi up, followed by Irene. Taehyung still lay on the bed, gathering his breaths.
“You pig, you’re both so heavy!” He groaned out.
“Shut up you drama king.” I told him as I outstretched my hand at him and he took it, but just when I was about to pull him upwards, he tugged at me harshly and I fell on the bed on top of him with a slight thud.
“What did you say to me, little girl?” He asked in a raspy and deep voice, his dark irises turning a deep shade of red. At this point none of them scared me anymore, knowing that they were my siblings, and our father was Lucifer himself. I should be scared. But they all seemed desperate for company and affection. They reminded me of myself in many ways.
“I’m not a little girl, you creep!” I exclaimed as I tried to pull myself away from him but his hold on my waist was too strong. “Let me go!”
“Such a weak and frail girl,” he commented under his breath. “I could crush you with my body if I wanted to, you know?”
I rolled my eyes at him. “Yeah, I’d like to see you try.”
I watched as his irises turned much redder and I suddenly felt an invisible weight on top of me, slowly crushing my back and I let out a gasp, my breath nowhere to exist.
“Cut that out, Tae. We have no time for games.” Irene scolded which he immediately stopped, the invisible heavy weight gone from my back, and I sucked in my breath, panting. Taehyung was chuckling evilly underneath me while I could only glare at him.
“Honestly fuck you.” I spat at him which he smiled up at me lazily as he smoothly pulled himself up from the bed.
“Guys, can we please focus here? I can literally hear our father talking to the man now.” Yoongi groaned out as he leaned himself against the closed door. I neared him and did the same, tuning in to dad’s voice and I was surprised when I clearly heard his voice, as if we were in the same room.
“Wow, this is so cool,” I mumbled to myself. Yoongi stared at me in disbelief.
“You can do that?” he asked, and I nodded.
“Dad casted some kind of spell on me so I could hear and see him from a distance,” I replied. I then closed my eyes, focusing my thoughts on him and picturing where he was right now, until my own mind opened to what was happening below us, where dad stood in front of a man in a black suit and seated on a couch was a beautiful dark-haired woman in her late forties, and next to her were two young children.
“…you have a very beautiful family.” Lucifer told the man and he nodded with a smile.
“Thank you. I love them with my whole heart.” The man who I assume is the mafia boss replied with a proud smile on his face. I then watched as dad neared him and whispered something in his ear.
“Keep an eye out on your wife if you ever plan on going against our agreement,” dad whispered in the man’s ear. “I cannot hold myself back when it comes to such a delightful and sinful woman like her.”
