Chapter 46
I rubbed my hands together in glee. The lord of hell always gets his way. Lilith was back. Smiling I put down the handheld mirror and made my way to my chamber. Lilith would do most of the work for me. Without even realizing what she has done. She is out for blood and Goldpeak would see many more sacrifices in the coming days. I am ready for the full moon. Ready to embark on my new journey. Opening the cupboard, I pull out a jar of black ash. It is the ash of a burned soul, a rotten soul to the core. Calling one of my servants I send them on their merry way to blow the ash into the young girl’s face who Lilith couldn’t resist biting. Now that girl would be mine.
I just had one problem. The young man who was in Lilly’s close-knit circle had been bitten. Not only had he been bitten but she had drained the life out of him. When he awakens he will no longer be human. He would have turned into a creature of the night. A vampire. Lilith had gone too far. Now the boy was useless too me. He was only good for spilling blood and within his new state he will do plenty of that.

“Quick, call an ambulance!” I exclaimed. Taylor volunteered as she grabbed her phone, excusing herself from the crowd as she called for medical help. I helplessly looked around the place for anything that I could use to stop the blood from bleeding that might cause the girl to pass out.
“Here, use this!” The boy offered, seeming to have noticed my state. He took his wet shirt off and handed it to me. I squeezed out the excess droplets of water before gently wrapping it around her neck making her cry out in pain.
“Just hold it in, please.” I told her sympathetically. “We just need to stop the blood from bleeding too much. Help is on the way, okay?”
The girl was still gasping out for breath, her unsteady breathing mixed with her painful cries as I pressed on the wet cloth harder. The white cloth was slowly turning red from the blood that oozed against it.
“What happened??” Irene asked as she appeared from the crowd, kneeling next to me and I could sense my other two siblings behind us, watching. Somehow their presence helped my nervous state calm down a little.
I told them what the boy had told me, and I was hoping for them to know what kind of creature would be lurking in Goldpeak’s lake. But unfortunately, the three of them looked just as clueless as I was.
So, what could this possibly be??
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Taehyung quietly muttered behind me. “I don’t think this is father’s doing.”
“It couldn’t be. He made a deal with me about not letting any monsters stay in Goldpeak anymore.” I replied in a small voice, hoping that the people around us wouldn’t hear our conversation. It would only raise suspicions.
“Lucifer doesn’t break deals in his own accord.” Irene pointed out.
The four of us were at a loss for words and I could only kneel there with a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. None of my half-evil siblings could decipher what had caused this, considering that they lived all their life in hell, and they would be familiar with everything that was paranormal by now. The mere fact that this sudden incident happened and none of us could tell or guess where it came from sent a horrible chill down my spine.
And then, it was as if our unanswered questions were noticed.
“They’re coming.” The injured girl suddenly spoke out in two different voices, the synchrony of a high and low-pitched, croaky voice left her lips and I gasped as I pushed myself away from her. Everyone else who was paying attention to her had heard her sudden change of tone and gasped they too stepped back.
“They’re coming.” The girl spoke again in those different voices.
“Who’s coming?” Irene asked aloud.
The girl’s head suddenly snapped upwards, the white of her eyes were slowly being replaced by a jet-black color, meeting our gazes and a sickly smile appeared on her face, dark red blood seeping out of her teeth and trailing down to her chin.
“Show yourself, demon!” Yoongi demanded. At this point everyone had stepped several feet back as the girl began laughing, a high-pitched laugh leaving her bloody mouth as the red liquid continued to drip from her bottom lip. Even if everyone else was away from her, the four of us remained in our places, staring at her.
“I am no demon,” someone (or something) spoke. “I am no spawn of Lucifer. But I warn you of what is to come. Beware, all you children of the night, blood of Lucifer Morningstar, heirs to rule the underworld. The end has come upon you.”
