Chapter 79
Banging my head against the wall the voice persisted. Over and over again it chanted. Kill, Die makes them pay. It was a monotone voice that was void of any emotion. Demonic and dam right annoying. I couldn’t think, nor concentrate. It just wouldn’t stop. I am sure I looked like a manic, completely insane. I tugged at my red locks and then proceeded in banging my forehead against the wall. Nothing worked, eventually I began to pace back and forth. By the time my mother entered my rooms I was positive I had burnt a hole in the floor with my constant pacing.
“Lilly, sweetheart, what is wrong?” she asked me with wide eyes. I am sure I looked dreadful.
“It won’t stop.” I replied with gritted teeth, grabbing a handful of my hair, and yanking hard.
“Lilly stop that!” mum yelled and suddenly my arms were forcefully pinned by my sides.
“What won’t stop? Sweetheart tell me what is going on?” mum’s voice was soothing, laced with concern.
“The voice.” I whispered, then it got louder, and louder until I could hear nothing else but the demonic echo in my brain.
“She abandoned you. Make her pay, kill! Kill!” it yelled, and my blood began to boil. I could feel my skin burning, hotter than any fever.
“Lilly calm down.” Mum said, I could only just hear her above the yelling in my brain. Suddenly my whole body set alight, and my mum backed away to the door. I could tell she was ready to run. Hell, if I could have run in that moment I would have. But I was like a raging bonfire. I could smell the charred smoke, and slowly the furniture began to set alight. Soon I would burn the whole place to the ground if I don’t stop.
“Good, they deserve to die.” The voice muttered. The anger inside me increased to an inferno that I couldn’t Regine in. Bringing my hand up I let loose a fire ball. Mum jumped and rolled out of the way with little effort.
“Lilly, stop, take deep breaths.” She said getting back to her feet.
I couldn’t stop. One after another I let balls of fire fly around the room. Until every last bit of energy left my body and I collapsed on the floor. My vision blurred in and out, but I welcomed the darkness with open arms.

“Perhaps this Isn’t the right place for her after all.” Vito said and I wanted to rip his head off. Not because of his comment but because he was right. Lilly was not just a vampire she was the queen of hell with fire burning in her veins. The power inside of her I was afraid was too much for her to bare.
“We are lucky she hasn’t burnt the whole place down and no one got hurt.” Vito went on and grabbing him by the scruff of his shirt I pinned him up against the wall.
“Don’t you think I don’t know that. Why don’t you get a witch in here to scan her? Make yourself useful.” I dropped Vito and for a second, he just stood there with a sincere look on his face.
“Lilith, this isn’t your fault. But I do think you may have to reassess this situation.” With that he was gone. Alone in the room that was completely wreaked by fire, I screamed.
Vampire Academy should be able to help her. A place she would be safe. Instead, it is Lilly who is the danger to the students. As the founder I had to make a decision. Even though Lilly was my daughter. I couldn’t allow her to continue at Vampire Academy, I had to think about the other student’s safety. After all I was the one that founded the place, and it is my responsibility.
“This is Gemma, one of our newest witches on call.” Vito introduced the slim Pettie young woman with black hair and almond eyes. I was in no mood for small talk so instead I waved my hand at my daughter that was still laid uncurious on the ground.
Gemma quickly placed herself on the floor her knees tucked under herself. With both hands and her eyes closed she began to move them steadily over Lilly’s body. Suddenly she jumped back, and her eyes snapped open. Terror was evident in her irises that had grown twice their natural size.
“I am sorry, but she is possessed.”
I let out a high pitch laugh. She is the devil’s daughter. There was no way she could be possessed.
“Impossible.” I stated and the young witch bowed her head.
“I am sorry, Lilith, but whatever has a hold on her is powerful and old. I’ve never seen anything like this.”
“It can’t be.” surly this witch was a novice that had no idea what she was talking about.
“Go get me a witch that actually knows what they are doing!!” I yelled at Vito and quickly they both disappeared.
Within minutes Vito was back with another witch. Who had the same opinion. Again, I sent her away, after the fourth witch I had to admit defeat. My daughter was possessed by something dark and old. I had no choice but to have her transported to AL carta, a place that holds the worse of the worse demons and supernatural’s that can’t be killed.
It wasn’t a place I wanted to leave Lilly, but what choice did I have?
It was time to ask for help, from the one person I swore I would never speak to again. My first husband. It was time to locate Adam.
