Chapter 71

“Sweetheart. You don’t have to worry about any of that. You’re not going back home, nor seeing your friends again.” The last thing I saw before black smoke engulfed me was my fathers wicked grin.
The next thing I knew I was in a cell in a dungeon. It was dark and cold, so I sat in the corner with my arms wrapped around my knees. Tears burned my eyes and trickles down my cheeks. Why would my father do this to me? I just couldn’t think why he would have a cause to lock me up.
It felt like hours, maybe days that I was sat there trapped with my own thoughts. Fear was a constant reminder of the betrayal of the man I had become to accept as my dad. It prickled at the back of my neck while my heart raced with impending doom.
After a while I thought maybe the world didn’t exist beyond the walls anymore. Quickly I had to shake that thought away. I was going insane.
Suddenly I heard the sound of breaking glass and the sound of Irene’s voice, and it was like music to my hears.
“Lilly!” I heard her call out and I yelled back.
“I am here.” The faces of my three siblings soon appeared and fresh tears brimmed my eyes. They had come for me. against our father they had come for me.
“Were going to get you out sis.” Yoongi said with determination.
“Not so fast children.” Dad said suddenly appearing behind me. I heard Irene screaming “Nooo!” as I vanished in a puff of black smoke.
We appeared in the clearing in the woods and my heart dropped when I saw the full moon slowly rising.
The prophecy.
That single thought made my legs feel like lead weight and then they crumbled beneath me, I dropped to the floor.
“Come now Lilly I know your stronger than this.” Dad said but all I could do was stare at him with so much hatred my blood seemed to boil under the surface. Like molten lava it spread throughout my body until I couldn’t stand the heat any longer. I screamed an ear-piercing sound as my body engulfed in flames.
“That’s it my child. Let that anger out.” My father said and those words made my body feel ice cold and the fire went out, leaving my body weak.
He gripped my forearm and dragged me to the middle of the clearing.
“It’s nearly time.” He said with excitement. A wooden cross appeared behind me as my father clapped is hands together. Like Jesus he nailed my hands then my feet to the cross. I felt no pain. All I felt was defeated.
“You my girl are going to free me from hell. You’re going to open up the gates that keep me trapped there.” He laughed and I closed my eyes, too weak and tired to do anything. I could feel my head loll from side to side as I went in and of conciseness. Blood slowly trickled from my wounds.
“Lilly” I heard my name being cried out and I opened my eyes to see, Taylor, Bryce and Carter coming towards us. I tried to tell them to stay back but the words got stuck in my mouth. In the next moment they were laid faced down and my father appeared with a satisfied grin.
“They won’t bother us now.” He said and anger welled inside of me.
I tried to remember a spell, anything that would or could help me, but my mind came up blank.

“How are we going to defeat our father?” I asked and Irene looked at me with a look of pure terror.
“We can’t. there is no way to kill him.” She replied and I felt my heart drop and a lump form in my throat.
“No there as to be a way.” I said, I couldn’t believe that a man like my father could not be stopped. I wouldn’t believe it.
“Your right Yoongi.” Lilith appeared.
“You are children. His blood and heirs. Only a child of Lucifers can kill him, but by doing so they then must take his place as king of hell.” I looked to my siblings. None of us wanted to stay in hell. For all the stuff we had said about earth being boring. We didn’t want to stay in hell. We wanted a life on earth.
“I will do it.” I spoke. If it meant that Lily would be safe, I would sacrifice my own happiness and freedom.
