Chapter 70

I awoke to find my mother gone. However, she left me with the powers of an angel. I could feel the power simmering inside me. somehow, I knew that my mother wanted me to face Lucifer and stop him from opening the gates of hell.
“Kingsley, please?” the woman claiming to be my father begged. But how could I let him out. If he indeed was my father than he deserved to rot in that cell. After all the lives he had ruined. All the good men that had lost their lives. He was a monster. Letting him out would prove to be more deadly than walking away. So that’s what I did. I walked away and didn’t look back.

It had been days since we had seen Lilly. Tomorrow was the full moon. Tomorrow could be the end of man kind as we knew it and there was nothing, I could do but sit and wait.
My nerves were on edge, and I couldn’t keep still. My head hurt with all the thinking I had been doing. There had to be a way to stop hell from rising and save Lilly. They just had to be. I paced the floor scratching my head as I racked my brain for a solution.

Taylor was on edge. Scared and nervous. There was nothing I could do to help her. I couldn’t help myself. Time was ticking by, we had lost Eliyah, and Kingsley was on a mission of his own. Carter, well Carter was Carter and if he came up with a valid plan I would die of shock. The guy was one penny short of a pound.
“You know we all have one foot in the grave at the minute.” Carter said and automatically my hand struck him behind the head.
“Bryce, what do we do?” Taylor asks me and I am in a total loss. Kingsley and Eliyah were the ones that made the plans. They were the brains, and I was the muscle. Plus, I was the one that kept Carter under control and out of the nut house, I am sure he as a one-way ticket for the place.

“Father is coming for breakfast. Lucifer my dad?” I ask in complete shock looking at my siblings who seem to wear the same expression as me.
“Don’t worry dear.” She patted my hand and left the room.
The dinning table was covered in a feast, fit for any king or queen and my mother whistled as she finished putting out the silverware. When the doorbell rang, she smiled one that didn’t reach her eyes and gave me a chill. Something wasn’t right. I could feel it in my bones.
My father entered the dining room with my mother’s arm linked within his. He smiled at us all in turn and then gestured for us to sit.
“Let’s Eat.” Dad said and my siblings, mainly the boys started to pile their plates. “Lilly, eat.” Taehyung urged as he handed me a plate of omelet which snapped me out of my daze. Suddenly the room changed to a garden. It was enchanting. I was too preoccupied looking at the beautiful garden around me where we were currently having breakfast; everything was really beautiful and green, and it only reminded me that we were in fact in Italy. Vines stretched out on the walls and towards the screen roof above us, flowers of various kinds and colors adorning the bushes around us and the grass beneath my feet felt soft and well taken care of.
As my eyes returned to the table, I couldn’t help but feel a soft tug on my heartstrings realizing that this was the closest I would get to having a normal family breakfast.

My mom sat at the end of the table, next to him was dad, and the rest of the seats were occupied by my siblings who were silently bickering about the food and which ones tasted better. I couldn’t help the tears that stung my eyes and before I knew it everyone was looking at me.
“Lilly? Honey, are you okay?” Mom asked worriedly.
“Is the bacon making you cry? If so, I totally agree with you.” Yoongi replied before he received a harsh blow to his side by Irene.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to cry.” I mumbled as more tears left my eyes and I couldn’t help the slight laugh as I dabbed the corners of my eyes with a tissue. “I just feel so happy and…normal.”
Dad was giving me a weird look while Irene and mom could only look at me fondly. Taehyung didn’t seem to mind as he reached over and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead before he continued stuffing his plate with more bacon and muffins.
“So, what are you going to do about your mortal family, daughter?” Dad asked and I knew he was referring to Kingsley and the rest of the group.
Would it be too much to ask if I asked my mother if they could move in here?
What are you talking about? Of course, it would too much!
I almost forgot that they were humans and the mere thought of witches, demons, and other supernatural’s prowling about if they lived here would make them freak out. But I didn’t want to leave my mother either.
But I couldn’t just abandon Kingsley, Taylor, and the rest of the boys. They were my family after all.
